This is a great command on multiple levels.  Primarily, you should love God and not the world.  But it is also practical: If you try to please the world, it is like drinking saltwater.  You’ll never please them, no matter how hard you try.  Just look at how many people have been canceled despite humiliatingly desperate woke appeals.  Be kind, of course, but know that you will not “nice” your way out of the cancel-culture world. They won’t let you.  Own your true Christian beliefs, and don’t apologize for them.  You’ll have all of eternity to be glad you did so.

1 John 2:15–16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Not making this up: Went to order stamps online, and they have two Kwanza options but zero Christian options. They had an “Our Lady of Guapulo” stamp, so maybe that’s a Catholic one.

Nails it. I never run across the people with the red buckets, but if I did I’d print some of these to drop in.
