Surprise: Benny Hinn wants money!

He is so flamingly false that I barely feel sorry for those taken in by him.  But with his “God told me ______” bit he’d fit right in with the false teachers in the “God is still speaking” United Church of Christ.  World-lovers like Hinn and the UCC can use phrases like that to rationalize all sorts of mischief.

Hopefully he and his “anonymous donor” will both fail.  Via Benny Hinn Asks Followers for $2.5 Million to Get Out of Debt.

“God has laid it on my heart to plant a seed of $2.5 million into your ministry, but God only wants me to make this gift if the ministry partners match the amount within 90 days! I feel so strongly that He wants them to be part of the supernatural wealth transfer that is coming to every believer who will obey God’s Word,” the man reportedly adds.

Spotting fake denominations

When churches write gibberish like this to justify anti-biblical and oxymoronic “same-sex marriage,” it is another major sign that they are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

In the United Church of Christ’s endorsement of fake marriage in in 2005 they noted:

The message of the Gospel is the lens through which the whole of scripture is to be interpreted. Love and compassion, justice and peace are at the very core of the life and ministry of Jesus. It is a message that always bends toward inclusion. The Biblical story recounts the ways in which inclusion and welcome to God’s community is ever expanding — from the story of Abraham and Sarah, to the inclusive ministry of Jesus, to the baptism of Cornelius, to the missionary journeys of Paul throughout the Greco-Roman world. The liberating work of the Spirit as witnessed in the activities of Jesus’ ministry has been to address the situations and structures of exclusion, injustice and oppression that diminish God’s people and keep them from realizing the full gift of human personhood in the context of human communion.

Sadly, those radical pro-abortion moral freaks deny the full gift of human personhood  to the unborn.  But they make up nonsense about the Bible being “inclusive” of those who continue to rebel Romans 1-style.  Christianity is inclusive in the sense that God will take anyone — that is, anyone who repents and believes.

Run, don’t walk, from fake Christian churches.

Pro-abortion = anti-Christian

False teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie took a break from taking little girls to gay pride parades to do his best to increase the destruction of innocent human beings.  Via Pray For Kansas – And Faithful Choices:

In Kansas, where Dr. George Tiller was assassinated at his church by a “pro-life” advocate, a former colleague of his is trying to re-open his clinic.  People of faith should pray that Julie Burkhart is successful.  Women should have the right to make their own reproductive health care decisions.

It takes a real anti-science, anti-Christ person to make a statement like that. You don’t need a Phd in Embryology to know that it is a scientific fact (and basic common sense) that a new human being is created at fertilization.  Therefore, 100% of abortions kill innocent but unwanted human beings after they have been reproduced.  Therefore, the idea that abortion is a “reproductive health care decision” is false at its foundation.

And there is always Chuck’s nebulous “people of faith” term, whereby he violates scripture by denying that Jesus the only way to salvation and pretends that he and people of other religions pray to the real God.

Domestic terrorists should not have the final world.

The General Synod of the United Church of Christ has long maintained that:

Whereas, women and men must make decisions about unplanned or unwanted pregnancies that involve their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being;

That ignores the well-being of the babies Chuck sentences to death.

and …Whereas, abortion is a social justice issue,

Yes, it is a social justice issue.  Being crushed and dismembered because you are unwanted is the epitome of social injustice.  Yet all those peddling the false “social gospel” like Chuck and Jim “the Gospel is all about wealth redistribution” Wallis are living examples of those Paul said are accursed (Galatians 1) because they are teaching a different Gospel.

both for parents dealing with pregnancy and parenting under highly stressed circumstances, as well as for our society as a whole; …

Uh, wouldn’t that justify child abuse as well?  The UCC pro-abortion rhetoric proves too much.

Therefore, be it resolved, that the Sixteenth General Synod:

affirms the sacredness of all life, and the need to protect and defend human life in particular;

Only Satan-inspired fakes could pretend to “protect and defend human life in particular” while advocating for unrestricted and taxpayer-funded abortions.

There are those that would like the public to believe that opposition to abortion is the only Christian position but the United Church of Christ is joined by the United Methodist Church, Episcopal Church USA, Presbyterian USA and other faithful Christian denominations in supporting choice.

Choice to do what?  To kill innocent but unwanted human beings.

The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice is an interfaith organization many of our churches belong to.

In the end, we should all work toward to goal of reducing the number of abortions.

But why, if they don’t kill innocent but unwanted human beings?  And Chuck is lying again. He and the rest of the Democrats want to increase abortions by requiring taxpayers to fund them.  That makes Obama and anyone supporting the Democrat’s platform the extremists: ”

The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.”

It is interesting that Chuck hasn’t commented on how one of his other late-term abortionist heroes killed another mother as well recently.  Looks like Chuck is part of the Liberal media cover-up.

I also don’t remember him commenting on the pro-lifer killed a few years ago by a pro-abort fueled by the hate speech of people like Chuck.

And Chuck loves the Southern Poverty Law Center hate group that inspired a man to try and kill people at the Family Research Council.  I don’t recall Chuck commenting on that one, either.

If you think Chuck Currie et al are Christians, you are part of the problem.

False teachers want to reduce abortions by increasing abortions. Or something like that.

False teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie took a break from taking little girls to gay pride parades to spread disinformation about how Contraception Reduces Abortion Rate.

It is a classically disingenuous move on his part.  Pro-aborts like him pretend to want to reduce abortions, but everyone who supports the Democrats is explicitly in favor of taxpayer-funded abortions that will obviously increase the number of abortions (duh).  So if they really wanted to reduce them then why take the money of pro-lifers by force to increase them?

And he ignores that half of abortions occur while women are on birth control.  The rate of failure is highest for teens.

Reducing the number of abortions is a cause most people of faith share but not all people of faith believe women should have access to contraception – some believe such access should be difficult or even illegal.

That is a straw-man argument.  Just because we didn’t buy Sandra Fluke’s nonsense doesn’t mean we want birth control to be illegal.  She’s a 31 yr. old law student managing to finance a $50,000 /yr. education and she can’t get her boyfriends to pool $10/month for birth control?  It was one of the most Prozac-inducing parts of the campaign watching so many people side with her.  Is it so hard to see the difference between access and forcing others to pay?

And isn’t it just possible that all the great pro-life laws (ultrasounds, informed consent, parental notification, etc.) put into place have helped reduce abortions?  Remember that pro-aborts strenuously oppose all of those.

Such thinking increases the need for abortion.  Groups like the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice work to promote contraception.  We need more voices joining with RCRC.

The RCRC is all about abortion.  “Reproductive Choice” is a fallacious term, as all abortions kill humans who have already been reproduced.

At the same time, faith communities need to be fighting hard for quality sex education in our public schools and to be providing such education in our churches.  A great resource for churches is the Our Whole Lives curriculum developed by the United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universialist Association.

I can only imagine what perversities that Chuck and the Unitarians have cooked up for these poor young people.  Remember, Chuck is so eager to show how “progressive” he is that he uses his 6 yr. old daughters as props to take to gay pride parades.  That’s sick, but he is a perfect picture of the “Christian” Left (Read: Wolves in sheep’s clothing).

Run, don’t walk, from false teachers like this and the denominations that support them.

Brought to you by fake Christians: “Mainstreaming Bisexuality: ‘Captain Bisexual’ Marches in Chicago Pride Parade as Young Children Watch”

Via Mainstreaming Bisexuality: ‘Captain Bisexual’ Marches in Chicago Pride Parade as Young Children Watch » Americans for Truth — this kind of thing wouldn’t happen if Christian denominations purged their rolls of false teachers like Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie.  He “proudly” takes his own daughters to gay pride parades where things like this deliberately happen.  Sadly, the apostate UCC and other denominations not only don’t object to these parades but they march in them.

Studies find male bisexuals conduits of HIV to heterosexual women

By Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH Exclusive

“MSMW [men who have sex with men and women] may serve as a conduit for HIV transmission between MSM [men who have sex with men] and heterosexuals.”

“Consistent with previous studies, compared with MSW [men who have sex with women], MSMW reported significantly higher numbers of sex partners and were significantly more likely to engage in anal intercourse with their female partners.” – Journal of Urban Health, July 2009, “Behaviorally Bisexual Men and their Risk Behaviors with Men and Women”

CHICAGO–Talk about marketing perversion and unhealthy behavior to kids: take a look at these photos of “Captain Bisexual” marching in Sunday’s Chicago homosexual “pride” parade. He is the ostensibly child-friendly face of a group called Bisexual Queer Alliance Chicago. Click on the photos to enlarge them and notice the youth in the background. Even though it appeared that organizers had dialed down the more raunchy floats compared to past “Chicago Pride” parades (I’ve observed three or four Chicago parades), there were still some X-rated contingents and spectacles like this that were utterly inappropriate for children. And yet, as you can see, many children looked on from the sidelines.

Liberalism and poverty: The cause, not the cure

False teacher Chuck Currie’s piece on How To End Homelessness: Fight Poverty reminded me of when Homer Simpson said, “Beer: The cause of . . . and cure for all life’s problems.”  Only in this case, Liberalism just causes poverty, it doesn’t cure it.  If people graduate high school and don’t have sex outside of marriage their odds of being poor are very low.  Yet Chuck et al are the cheerleaders for the anti-God Planned Parenthood-style sexual mores that are destroying this country.  If you really want to fight poverty you’ll spread the Gospel.  Transformed hearts and minds lead to a more moral society, which reduces poverty.

Ending homelessness, Currie says, will take a massive push on curbing poverty . . .

So there is a connection between people not having money and being homeless?  Who knew?!

— including not only creating jobs, but also preparing workers for those jobs —

So why do Liberals oppose all the ways we could create jobs in this country?  Why don’t they support more oil drilling and the Keystone Pipeline, which would reduce energy costs for everyone and make homes more affordable and provide jobs that would increase tax revenues?  Or how about merely not aggressively killing the coal industry? (Sadly, that is one promise Obama is keeping.)

and on making huge investments in affordable housing

Details, please.  What are these “huge” investments and how do they make housing affordable?  Is that code for taking from neighbor A by force to “give” to neighbor B?

and building up programs for in-home support of the elderly, those with physical disabilities and those suffering from other health, mental health and addiction problems.

Yes, many homeless have mental problems and will never be able to maintain a residence in their current state.  But try to institutionalize them and watch the lawsuits fly.

. . . The Half in Ten Campaign is advancing progressive economic policies to reduce poverty that stand in stark contrast to the budget proposal put forward by Paul Ryan and adopted this week by the U.S. House that would increase poverty and homelessness, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

And you can totally trust that source, especially when it is proven that Liberals fail at basic economics.

President Obama’s budget proposals move us in a much better direction.

Yes, and that’s why his budget didn’t get one single vote from Republicans OR Democrats.  I repeat: Not a single vote from Democrats!

I remain strongly convinced from the polls and my own experiences that we Americans are a compassionate people who want our government to advance policies that promote the common good over the needs of the special interests or the wealthiest and most powerful among us. We can end homelessness. We simply need to make the moral investment.

And we should all take seriously the moral claims from someone who thinks that one of our problems is that we don’t have enough abortions in this country. You see, fake Reverend Chuck is pro-taxpayer funded abortions.  As with most liberals, he thinks that killing unwanted human beings reduces poverty.  While pretending to oppose the powerful they think people should have the power to destroy the unwanted.

The state of the Methodists.

The following was left anonymously as a comment but I thought it was worthy of a post.  The Methodist church has some good things going internationally and at some local levels, but the national and regional leadership in the U.S. is mostly a train wreck of false teachers.  Most members aren’t aware of this.  My philosophy and advice for those still in the church is simple: Fight for the truth and for change or leave.

I did both.

As noted below, the GBCS is pro-abortion.  And not just a little bit: Methodists helped found and still actively support the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice that blasphemes God by insisting that He is pro-abortion.  And I do mean pro-abortion and not pro-choice.  If you push for taxpayer-funded abortions, you are pro-abortion.

Here is the comment that was left here.

—–

Last year I was asked to be on the Church Growth Committee at my United Methodist Church.I accepted and began to study why our Church was not growing.Initially,I studied the demographics of our local area to determine what our target group ,so to speak, was and how we could bring the message of salvation to them. I first assumed that the greatest potential for growth would be among the unchurched. It proved to be an alarming study. Most of what I found was already known by our pastors, district superintendents and our bishops. Our leaders were aware of the aging of the Church membership, the movement of our youth away from mainline church membership, the lack of pastors under thirty-five years of age,the lack of men pastoral candidates in our seminaries, the number of second career candidates and unfortunately the overall quality of those answering the call to be pastors. However, my study lead to more then just changing “how we do church” by offering a traditional or contemporary service , starting a Saturday night service, combining with a minority church to share talent, ideas and resources, hiring a highly paid Youth Director or even paying our associate ministers a decent wage. No, I found out that our church has changed fundamentally from the Wesleyan tradition and has limited our evangelical target groups so severely that continued growth will be unachievable in the future. Why? A growing Church is a biblical.,Christ-centered Church. Now wait! Hear me out.
Over time our seminaries have become packed with very liberal,if not socialist, professors. The procedures for becoming tenured in our universities is flawed. The vetting of our potential pastors, district superintendents and bishops is inadequate. The oversight of the General Board of Global Ministries/General Board of the Church and Society/ Women’s Division has been totally lacking.
Here are a few of my findings, no my beliefs, after nearly a year of trying to answer, ” Why is our Church not growing?” I had to add another question ,”Why is the Church not retaining its membership?”. The fact that the death rate of Methodists is 33% greater than the national average only shows how aged the membership is.

A.Through our political activism we have we have limited our influence on many segments of society.

a.The Church’s inclusion and support of the Methodist Federation for Social Action (MFSA) http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/communism/communism.htm https://www.cal-pacmfsa.org/uploads/CalPacMFSA_Nwsltr_June2007.pdf alienates many of members and non-members of the Church.Personally, I am concerned with any organization that invites the Rev. Jeremiah Wright ,of the United Church of Christ, to be the keynote Speaker at its annual conference as the Iowa Conference did.The close association of our Church with the ultra- liberal United Church of Christ does help the Church. The United Church of Christ has offices in all our of the Church’s buildings in Washing DC and NYC.
United Church of Christ in US endorses same-sex marriage New York
(ENI) July 2005
The United Church of Christ has become the first major denomination in the United States to endorse same-sex marriage. In a move heralded as historic by gay-rights proponents and criticized by opponents of same sex relationships, the UCC’s General Synod, meeting in Atlanta, on 4 July voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution that “affirms equal marriage rights for couples regardless of gender”.
b. Our seemingly disregard of the Book of Resolutions and Social Principles in regard to the acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle alienates another large segment of the population.having Bishops march with Soul Force at the 2008 General Assembly was upsetting to many potential members and members of our congregations. The retired Bishops that performed same-sex marriages did harm to the growth of the Church and caused many members to grieve .When Bishop Ough keynoted a Reconciling Church Celebration, as the Maynard Avenue United Methodist Church of Columbus, Ohio became a Reconciling Congregation, he was clearly in support of the homosexual lifestyle.Bishop Ough has served as the bishop of the Ohio West Area of the United Methodist Church since September 2000 and was reappointed to the same area for the 2009-2012 quadrennium. He was the president of the Church’s General Board of Global Ministries, having been elected to that office in 2008.
Northern Illinois United Methodist Conference Urges: Homosexuality/bisexuality “gift of God”
June 6, 2003
Highlights of text:
…human sexuality is a good gift of God…
…homosexuality, heterosexuality and bi-sexuality all share that gift…
…we commit to proclaim that homosexual orientation (no less or more than heterosexual orientation) can be compatible with Christian teaching
… We encourage clergy to preach this from our pulpits …
…we encourage lay people to teach it in our Sunday school classes and tell it to our children…
…we affirm that loving, monogamous, intimate relationships between persons of the same or opposite gender, are an expression of God’s love…
…we affirm that persons of all sexual orientations are equally called to ordained ministry…
…as lay persons we will similarly affirm that call and we will offer ourselves fully in mutual ministry with pastors of our churches regardless of that person’s sexual orientation…

The Sex and the Church series published at the General Board of Church and Society website is about as edifying as Sex and the City.
The latest article
discusses the “evils” of heterosexism. (One wonders if there are also such things as asexism, homosexism and bisexism.)
Did you know that if you assume that a little boy will like toy trucks and guns or that little girls will like dolls, you’re a heterosexist and a homophobe? You’re also a homophobe if you describe families as consisting of “mommies and daddies”. Sodom and Gomorrah’s big sin was a “failure of hospitality.” And yes, you’re a homophobe if you don’t consider this to be a valid interpretation. That’s what Audrey Krumbach says anyway.
Does the average United Methodist know that this kind of nonsense is being propagated by an official church agency? (Have we forgotten that the official view of the UMC is that homosexuality is “incompatible with Christian teaching”?) I attend a fairly liberal United Methodist church, but I’m betting that even in my congregation most of the people are in the dark about what’s going on.
It’s time to shine some light on some of these problems. A lot of shenanigans happen in our denomination because the average United Methodist either doesn’t know or doesn’t care.

c.United Methodist Bishop Denies the Gospel on International Television
The Christian Sentinel – April 1, 2003{definition of religious pluralism added}
There he was — a representative of the second largest Protestant denomination on March 11 with a perfect opportunity to share his faith in Christ with the world watching him on “Larry King Live” on CNN. From the way the calls were coming in from from the U.S. and overseas during the show’s Q&A time period, the viewers were attentive — and on edge over the possibility of a U.S. coalition war with Iraq. Many callers were seeking guidance from the five Christian leaders gathered that evening for the telecast.
But retired Bishop Melvin Talbert, the ecumenical officer for the United Methodist Church, not only blew the opportunity to tell the world about God’s gift to humanity through Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for their sins, but he preached a different gospel and he affirmed universalism. His comments may have helped some viewers move to an eternity apart from Christ, because what he clearly said was that other roads also lead to salvation, including those caught in the twisted world of Islam. This is Religious Pluralism- A response to the religious diversity inherent in 21st century Western culture which entails a belief that one’s own beliefs about God are self-sufficient but not universally applicable. In other words, it is the belief that “God is greater than any
one view of God.” Therefore, salvation, divine revelation, etc. are manifest and applicable to all people in diverse waysTo understand Islam is to know that we cannot identify Muslims as those who “along with us adore the one and merciful God.” To deny the Trinity is to worship another God.

Respect is a problematic category. In the end, Christians must show respect for Muslims by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit of love and truth. We are called to love and respect Muslims, not Islam.
Moreover, Talbert seriously warped Scripture during his appearance and misrepresented it — declaring that it calls for things it does not, and in doing so he misrepresented the Christian faith and betrayed the Wesleyan tradition of his own denomination. This is heresy, folks. It is part of an increasing flood of apostasy, a falling away by so called Christian leaders in the Main Line denominations. Few leaders today represent the face of apostasy and the voice of treachery and treason within Christianity better than Bishop Talbert.
This latest controversy, however, is not new with Talbert. He has been brought up on discipline charges before the UMC in the past, with various evangelicals accusing him of lying and of deliberately defying church law. In more recent years he has angered many within Methodism for his promotion of homosexuality — even sanctioning gay marriages in direct defiance of his church, not to mention Scripture.
d. I think Methodist Churches has been duped by the socialist left and and radical Islam,.
.The Council for American-Islamic Relations( CAIR)http://www.meforum.org/916/cair-islamists-fooling-the-establishment , has offices in the Methodist Buildings in NYC.In NYC they share the suite with Columbia University Trustees.-Islamic radicals and the trustees of socialism. Bishop Bruce R Ough, West Ohio Conference United Methodist Church, issued a press conference statement vilifying the “Obsession” DVD,RADICAL ISLAM’S WAR AGAINST THE WEST. As president of the church’s North Central Jurisdiction College of Bishops,he dismissed the complaints(essentially charges of heresy) filed against Bishop C. Joseph Sprague of Chicago .I guess his not understanding the threat radical Islam should have been expected. g. The following are concepts that are pervasive in today’s mainline Churches:
Religious Liberalism (Modernism) — A religious movement that elevates human reason
(as manifested in rationalism, science, humanism and empiricism) above divine
revelation in an attempt to make the Christian faith compatible with modern culture.
Religious liberalism originally stemmed from the theological and philosophical bases of
the Age of Reason, or the Enlightenment Period. The two pillars on which religious
liberalism rests are the higher criticism and the Darwinian theory of evolution. Religious
liberalism, or modernism, denies the supernatural and emphasizes the supposed inherent
goodness and progress of mankind.
Postmodernism — The natural end of modernism (religious liberalism). Postmodernism
is a recent philosophical and theological development that denies the reality of
transcendent, objective truth by claiming that all notions of truth are socially constructed.
Truth is not a transcendent reality but a social creation of human intellect and language.
Therefore, all beliefs are equally true and valid, and any claim to absolute, objective truth
is rejected since such a claim necessarily negates the “trueness” of any competing beliefs.
As one writer stated, “Everything can mean anything, so everything means nothing.” Key
tenets of postmodernism include moral, theological and linguistic relativism, religious
pluralism and tolerance.
Religious Pluralism — A response to the religious diversity inherent in 21st century
Western culture which entails a belief that one’s own beliefs about God are self-sufficient
but not universally applicable. In other words, it is the belief that “God is greater than any
one view of God.” Therefore, salvation, divine revelation, etc. are manifest and
applicable to all people in diverse ways.
These concepts are preventing mainline Churches from growing or retaining their membership as the laity begins to understand what their giving is supporting.
The Methodist Church has been consumed by the socialist United Nations ‘s agenda. So much so, even when the agenda embraces Anti-American or Anti- Israel, the General Board of Church and Society/General Board Of Global Ministries sign letters. petitions with the likes of Code Pink, United for Peace and Justice, Veterans for Peace,ACLU, Sojourners, MoveOn.org, Oxfam America,Columbus Progressive Alliance, American Friends Service Committee,Fellowship of Reconciliation, Earth Charter ,Africa Action, IPS ,Tides Foundation, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others. Why does it matter? The Church is losing its mission. Here are a few examples:
1. Kofi A. Annan, Past Secretary-General, the United Nations is adamantly supported by James Edward Winkler and of course Ret Bishop Melvin Talbert http://www.ncccusa.org/pdfs/UNAd.pdf
.Annan is for a global government and he could not hide his anti America sentiments even in his farewell speech.
2. So what is the GBCS’s definition of Social Justice? Let’s look how the UMC’s social justice agent responded to the recent attempt by activists to run the the blockage of Gaza:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United Methodist General Board of Church and Society (GBCS) is condemning the deadly interception Monday (May 31) in international waters by Israeli troops that led to the deaths of nine persons on a humanitarian aid mission to Gaza. The nine persons were part of an international “Freedom Flotilla” of six vessels carrying nearly 10,000 tons of food and medicine to Gaza, which has been under an Israeli blockade for three years.
“We grieve the loss of life and injuries sustained in what became a tragic confrontation between the forces of peace and those of armed aggression,” said Jim Winkler, chief executive of the United Methodist social justice agency.

This is the typical of the GBCS.They never mention the need for the blockade, that out of five ships only one chose to fight the Israelis or the tons of aid and supplies that has been delivered to Gaza through Israel. The GBCS has long ago accepted the WCC, NCC, and the UN stance on Israel. I truly believe that all these organizations realize that the only sane player in the Middle East Conflict is Israel and hope of peace through compromise must be with the Israelis.

Let’s look at GBCS real issues:

A.GBCS is Anti-Israel http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/02/the_united_methodist_church_an.html

B.GBCS is Anti- War-Was Jesus a pacifist?http://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-pacifist.html

C. GBCS is Pro- Abortion

D.GBCS supports the breaking of the laws of the United States-At an April rally in Washington, D.C., United Methodist Bishop Minerva Carcaño addresses thousands of protesters calling for fair treatment of undocumented immigrants. She will be a featured speaker at ‘Welcoming the Sojourner’ Oct. 16-18, in Naperville, Ill.”Welcoming the Sojourner” is co-sponsored by the North Central Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church and the denomination’s General Board of Church & Society (GBCS). Without borders we have no Nation- Without borders we have no Sovereignty.

E. GBCS supports the premise that that capitalism has caused Global Warming an owes developing nations reparations for the damage.

F. GBCS supports radical environment justice

G.GBCS supports interfaith-not inter-denominational but interfaith(religious pluralism)

H. GBCS Supports disarmament -peace through weakness- to the glee of the socialists/communists dictators

I.GBCS supports the ban on all hand guns-The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects a right to keep and bear arms .[1] Justice Antonin Scalia , wrote that the “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” was a just a controlling one and referred to it as a pre-existing right of individuals to possess and carry personal weapons for self-defense and intrinsically for defense against tyranny . The Hand Guns National Coalition to Ban is located in the Methodist Building( 100 Maryland Ave NW) in Washing DC.Again,to the glee to all who would want to harm.

J. GBCS is and was an avid supporter of Kofi Annan- enough said!

K. .GBGM/GBCS/Women’s Division continue to fund RCRC and Planned Parenthood

3 So, what is GBCS’s definition of “Social Justice”? It is political not religious. It combines economic justice, environmental justice, gender justice into a world view that systematically blames the world’s problems on apartheid, colonialism, imperialism, US foreign policy ,corporate irresponsibility and globalization. The Church has accepted the secular version of Social Gospel.gotquestions.org States:
Adherents of the Social Gospel believe that individuals could only leave their sinful lifestyle if the social and economic situations were changed that drove them into sin in the first place. As a result of this reasoning, individual salvation was important, but second to social reform, which would convert people into Gods kingdom. Salvation of the individual then, stood as an important byproduct of working for a literal kingdom of God on earth. Working for social improvement, the Kingdom of God on earth was the thrust of the Social gospel movement. This is now become Social Justice{not Christian Charity but government control to effect equality in all things ie Socialism}This type of gospel alienates many of the membership who still believe that our time on earth should be spent in glorifying GOD and making disciples of all nations.
When churches seek unity they accept unbiblical lifestyles and religions( Religious Pluralism because they have not recognized Christ as the head of the universal church (Colossians 1:18), and are preaching “another gospel” (Galatians 1:1-9).
The true Gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and John 3:16.
I can more easily explain what their definition is not. It is not biblical!

The best guide for Christians that I could find is contained in:

Dr. John F. MacArthur, Jr.
Why Government Can’t Save You : An Alternative to Political Activism. Nashville, TN : Thomas Nelson Publishers, 2000

I first became appalled with what my Church was doing-no become- when I read about the Trinity United Methodist Church in Austin welcoming into its pulpit a pagan Wiccan priest of the Covenant of the Goddess.Have we become a Apostate Church?Bishop Whitaker , Pluralism might not have been a problematic in the first century but it is now in the 21th century.
WE will soon have only Red and Blue , Pro or Anti Israel and Pro and Anti Homosexuality,Pro illegal immigration or anti illegal immigration, Pro Gun control or anti Gun control CHURCHES.We will have forgotten That Jesus did got come to overthrow the very oppressive Roman government but to establish his heavenly kingdom. We have forgotten the great commission. The only thing that can change the evil and corruption on this earth is by the acceptance of Jesus as our savior and be transformed to live a Christian life. The Church must return to the Biblical Truths to Grow the Lords’ Church. We are alienating the very people we are wanting to bring to Christ.
Our relationship to the United Nations and its Anti-American,Anti- Israel ,Pro World Government stance is of special interest to me.I am concerned about the time and energy we spend on advancing the UN’s social agenda.I need for the Bishops to answer the following questions:
A.Should Christians be tolerant of other people’s beliefs? Is there another way to heaven besides through Jesus Christ?
B.In what countries do the displaced Palestinians live? How are they treated? Why are the Christians fleeing from PA controlled areas and cities?List the compromises make by the Israelis -the Palestinians. What would happen if the Israelis laid down their arms? What would happen if the Palestinians laid down their arms?List the demands of the Palestinians for a lasting peace. List the demands of the Israelis for a lasting peace?Do we believe the God’s Covenant with Abraham will be fulfilled or do we believe in the “replacement theology”?
C.Do you believe in the inerrancy of the Bible? Have we perverted the truth? Are we preaching an ambiguous gospel? Please tell me the scriptures in the Bible that the Methodist do not believe?
I do not believe in evolution.
I believe in capital punishment.
I am against abortion.
I believe in the inerrancy of the Bible.
I believe that through Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and salvation.
I believe that Peace on earth can only be maintained through strength.
I believe that we must obey the laws of our country or change the the laws by the ballet box.
I believe in Genesis 1 and Romans 1.
I believe God still has plans for Israel.
I believe in the 2nd amendment to the Constitution.
I am pro- Israel.
Who is left to join our Church that we have not alienated ?The illegal immigrants? We are not able to proselytize anyone! Why? Is it unbiblical?NO. It is against our politicized faith! That is also why we can not retain our members or our youth.

False teacher Chuck Currie named Associate Director of False Teacher (Westar) Institute

It is only fitting.  Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie apparently could never land a full-time gig as a real pastor, even though he was a wildly liberal (read: fake) pastor in a highly liberal denomination in a highly liberal city.  But the Jesus Seminar false teachers like him!  See “Rev. Chuck Currie Named Associate Director Of The Westar Institute”:

I’m excited to share the news that I’ve been named the new Associate Director of The Westar Institute, one of our nation’s most important academic bodies focusing on the critical study of religion.  For many, the work undertaken by the Westar Institute is a is a beacon of hope to anyone wishing to embrace a spiritual life that has more intellectual integrity.  The Westar Institute is best known as the home of the Jesus Seminar.

Oh, Chuck is all about intellectual integrity!  Except when he’s being a serial, unrepentant liar.  Or taking his 6 yr. old girls to gay pride parades as props to show how tolerant and inclusive he is (I wonder if Portland’s celebrations are as diverse as San Francisco’s?).  Or when he accuses those who disagree with him of being racist, including  a black pastor (who Chuck didn’t know was black).  (It reminds of when he dismissed Stand To Reason for the racist reason that they are white guys.  Besides it being an example of the genetic fallacy, Chuck didn’t realize that by his own logic we should ignore him.  After all, Chuck is a white guy.  You can’t make this stuff up!)

“Rev. Currie will help us to become better equipped to bring into the public forum the considered views of biblical scholars whenever the Bible is invoked on behalf of this or that cause.”

That is so comical.  Remember, Chuck is the heretic who thinks that the Gospel of John was written in AD 130 and that the “gospel” of Thomas is more authoritative.  He taught an entire sermon on John 14:6 yet concluded that Jesus was not the only way to salvation.  Chuck, the “scholar” and PhD candidate, didn’t know there were at least 100 other passages pointing to Jesus’ exclusivity for salvation.  He says that Christians have as much to learn from other religions as they do from us, but what do they have to teach us about Jesus?  And you can’t even skim the Old Testament without seeing that the Israelites #1 problem was worshiping other gods.

Chuck quotes Matthew 25 over and over, taking it out of context, of course, but always refers to the “least of these.”  Yet he is pro-legalized abortion and pro-taxpayer funded abortion.  Apparently killing 3,000 innocent but unwanted human beings — who surely meet the definition of “least of these” — isn’t enough for Chuck.  He wants there to be more abortions.

Chuck holds those false views and more, yet they named him Associate Director?!  Of course, because they are as transparently false as he is.

This will be fun! I say without exaggeration that I have yet to see Chuck get a Bible verse right.  He’ll grab one from Isaiah, or wherever, because he thinks it makes his point, but if you examine the passage it is easy to see how wildly off the mark he is.  I am looking forward to analyzing his “critical studies.”

Mega-roundup

I’ve been trying to do more individual posts instead of roundups, but there has been a lot of craziness lately.  Here goes.

A great response to Bill Keller of the NY Times — He may be intelligent but he isn’t wise.  His analysis was horrible.  He also tips his hand in conceding the phony religiosity of people like Obama and Clinton.  After all, they claim the name of Christ as well.  But the Left doesn’t think they are really Christians so they don’t get upset about it.  But when Perry and Bachmann appear to really believe, then Keller and the other bigots freak out.

I’m all for breast cancer research, but here’s why I don’t donate to the Susan Komen Foundation: Komen 2010 donation to Planned Parenthood hits $569,000

When asked, Komen states that gifts to Planned Parenthood are justified because PP does mammograms. The black eye got even darker when it was revealed that PP actually does not do mammograms, but routine breast exams that a woman can do on herself.

The biggest problem with the PP donation is that a legitimate abortion-breast cancer link has been documented in studies. So, Komen gives funds raised to cure breast cancer to an organization that is increasing breast cancer risk as the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Hey Komen organization:  Call me when you stop supporting an organization that kills babies for a living.

Is the mainstream press addressing how Gibson Guitars, owned by a Republican contributor, was raided by the Department of Justice on a petty charge while its competitor, owned by a Democratic contributor, was not?   Do Liberals care about what might be a massive abuse of power?

Are you smarter than Rick Perry?  Here’s a test for the oh-so-smart class: Do you think there is a Social Security “trust fund” or “lockbox” where the contributions to date are stored?  If so, then Rick Perry is a lot smarter than you.  He knows that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme.  Anyone who tells you otherwise is ignorant or lying to you.  From the video at the link:

We need to have a conversation with America, just like we’re having right here today. And admit that it is a Ponzi scheme for these young people. The idea that they’re working and paying into Social Security today, that under the current program is going to be there for them, is a lie. It is a monstrous lie on this generation and we can’t do that to them

Perry also said he stood for the rights of non-believers.

Also see Perry on Obama: How “smart” do you have to be to let the economy get this bad? — This should be fun!  The DNC and its media and theologically liberal allies are going through the laundry list of memes about Rick Perry — religious nut, stupid, etc.  But if Obama & Co. are so brilliant why have they failed to achieve any of their economic commitments?

And if Obama is so smart, what were his college grades?  Oh, right, he won’t release them.

—–

Here’s a good response to the made-up “dominionist” charge against Bachmann and Perry.  The anti-religion bigots / haters seem to be test-marketing that meme.

Great analysis by Stan on the “God and sex-slaves” debate.

Homosexual students automatically eligible for scholarship: Elmhurst college — So how do they test for that?  Here’s a shocker: The college is associated with the apostate United Church of Christ.

In a recent statement, David Smith, executive director of the Illinois Family Institute, criticized the college’s comparison between sexual orientation and ethnic identity

“In defending their decision to include a question about ‘sexual orientation,’ by asserting an offensive and absurd comparison of race to a condition constituted by subjective desire and volitional sexual acts, Elmhurst College administrators reveal their own ignorance,” said Smith.
Elmhurst is affiliated with the liberal leaning United Church of Christ, which became the first denomination in the country with an openly gay minister when it ordained William Johnson in 1972.

Rep. Carson Accuses Tea Party Representatives in Congress of Wanting to Lynch Blacks — Subtle.  I think this is the guy who declared war on the Tea Party.  And we have Congresswoman Maxine Waters saying Tea Partiers should go to Hell.  Can’t you feel the love and tolerance?

So when race riots break out can we blame Carson and all the other race-baiters?  Shouldn’t the media be asking if the black-on-white flash mob attacks have been instigated by this inflammatory rhetoric?

Rep. Carson has a history of making unsupported accusations of racism at the Tea Party. You may recall that he is the Rep. who claimed to have been called the N-word “15 times” while passing through a group of Tea Party protesters on Capitol Hill. When video appeared that refuted part of his story (he wasn’t mobbed and received no police escort) he changed his story. No video supporting his N-word claim ever appeared.

If you ever wondered how coordinated the liberal media bias is, read about Journolist.  It is interesting how quickly these “independent” fact finding types all agree on the same meme, such as tying Sarah Palin to the Arizona shootings.  What is really interesting is how fake Christians like Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie immediately came out with the same Palin chatter — almost as if he was on the distribution list for the DNC talking points!  He was right on time and on script with the Perry bashing as well.

—–

Good overview of false teacher Benny Hinn.  He is so transparently fake that I barely feel sorry for those duped by him.

President Obama has Tour Buses Flown to Stump Speeches — Remember the taxpayer-funded campaign tour?  It is much worse than you thought.  He didn’t just blow $2m on buses made in Canada, he had them flown around just so he could appear to be riding in them.  Your tax dollars (not) at work!

Gay activist explains how same-sex marriage will change marriage — Hey, I thought they didn’t want to change it?!   Seriously, read the post and note how flippant they are about “non-monogamous same-sex marriage.”

Yet another passage that theological Liberals ignore or don’t understand

I often point out how false teachers abuse scripture to advance their religion-disguised-as-politics agenda.  Jim “the Gospel is all about wealth redistribution” Wallis likes to point out how there are over 2,000 verses about money in the Bible.  That may be true, but it doesn’t mean he understands them.  False teachers like him and Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie think that Jesus taught to ask “Caesar” (i.e., the government) to borrow from others to give away in the name of the oh-so-generous false teachers.

Here’s another verse they ignore or don’t understand, courtesy of  The Servility of the Religious Left « runlevel five(pointer).

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. Proverbs 22:7 English Standard Version

Chuck Currie and the United Church of Christ want to make a lot more slaves. In fact, if they have their way,  the entire nation will become further enslaved to foreign lenders, by insisting that we continue to raise the debt ceiling. Moreover, in response to calls for increased fiscal responsibility, they are demanding an increase in taxes.

The problem is, Currie is not alone in his views. He is joined by a host of other advocates for fiscal irresponsibility that reaches the level of forced servitude for the American people. Such deluded individuals consider spending beyond our means as a nation a good thing. Even elected officials such as Pete Stark go so far to say that the bigger our national debt, the wealthier we are.

Currie should know better. What is truly alarming is his willingness to sacrifice future generations, including his two children, on the altar of the idol of Entitlements and the long-discredited Social Gospel.

Indeed, people who can’t vote or haven’t been born yet will be saddled with the debt that these false teachers advocated in the name of Christ.  Just as God points out in Proverbs, they will be slaves to their lenders.  But at least the borrowers Solomon had in mind were directly responsible for their actions.  No one borrowed in their name and without their approval.

Worse yet, the false teachers’ use of the borrowings is nearly always counterproductive.  It is lose-lose with these guys.

Good for the Baptists!

I love seeing real churches follow the Bible and reject false teachers like false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie.

A Southern Baptist retreat center has told a United Church of Christ congregation they’ll no longer be able to rent facilities at the center because the UCC “promotes homosexuality.”

via Baptists “Eject” United Church Of Christ From Retreat Center.

Of course, Chuck plays the usual race card, even though he’s the shameless race-baiter who wants to have taxpayer-funded abortions that he knows will make the 3-to-1 ratio of black abortions to whites go even higher.

Jesus: Still the only way to salvation for everyone, including Jewish people

In Mohler to Weiner: Atone Through Jesus, false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie is too ashamed of the Gospel to acknowledge that Jewish people need to hear it.  He loves himself and the world more than Jewish people, so he instinctively slams Al Mohler simply for claiming what is taught in the Bible over and over: Jesus is the only way to salvation.  If you can’t get that simple fact right, Christianity may not be your forte’.

Here’s the comment I left at the Huffington Post (which, of course, they didn’t post).

If Jewish people can be saved without trusting in Jesus, why did Paul say he wished he could give up his salvation on their behalf?

This isn’t about people being arrogant because they think they are right (that is, unless Chuck and all who agree with him are conceding to being arrogant just because they think they are right).

This is about what the Bible teaches.  And it couldn’t be more clear: There are over 100 passages in the New Testament saying that Jesus is the only way to salvation.  That isn’t what makes it true (Jesus’ rising from the dead does that), but it means that anyone claiming the name of Christ should hold that view.  Any other view is the opposite of what the Bible clearly and repeatedly teaches.

If you want to see the kind of people who find Chuck to be religiously enlightening, read the comments that they did post (Logic: They’re doin’ it wrong).  You could do a blog post on almost every comment pointing out their multiple logical fallacies and plain old ignorance.

Here are parts of Chuck’s post:

Albert Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a regular on cable television, had a message this weekend for scandal-plagued U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, which he sent, quite naturally, via Twitter, according to USA Today:

“Dear Congressman Weiner: There is no effective “treatment” for sin. Only atonement, found only in Jesus Christ.”

Weiner is Jewish.

Eek!  How dare Mohler share the Gospel with someone who is Jewish.  Oh, wait, isn’t that what Paul and all the early Apostles did?  (“first for the Jew, then for the Gentile . . .”)  Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles, still always started off in the synagogues.

This isn’t the first time that Mohler has spoken strongly of his belief that Jews need Christ to be saved. He once compared Judaism to a tumor that needed to be removed. EthicsDaily.com reported in 2003:

While Jewish evangelism is controversial today, Mohler said Christians do Jewish people a disservice by failing to confront them with the gospel. He compared it to a person with a potentially deadly tumor, who would rather have a doctor give a truthful diagnosis than say all is well to avoid offending him.In the same way, telling a Jewish person she is in danger of hell “is the ultimate act of Christian love,” Mohler said. …

Notice how false teacher Chuck tries to make it look like Mohler said Judaism was a tumor, when he was merely pointing out that a doctor that won’t tell you what is really killing you isn’t much of a doctor at all — just like people like Chuck are lousy “reverends” and “Christians.”

In addition to his comments about the Jewish religion, Mohler has also described Catholicism as “a false church” teaching “a false gospel.” He says liberal Protestants have abandoned the Christian faith. …

Note to Chuck: The Reformation happened for a reason.  Actually, 95 of them.  If you don’t think the Catholic church is false you should join it.

And liberal Protestants like you have abandoned the faith!  You proudly deny that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

. . .

Mohler’s views are not shared by all Christians.

Correction: His views on the exclusivity of Christ are shared with all real Christians.

In 1987, The United Church of Christ adopted a resolution that stated in part:

We in the United Church of Christ acknowledge that the Christian Church has, throughout most of its history, denied God’s continuing covenantal relationship with the Jewish people expressed in the faith of Judaism. This denial has often led to outright rejection of the Jewish people and to theologically and humanly intolerable violence. The Church’s frequent portrayal of the Jews as blind, recalcitrant, evil, and rejected by God has found expression in much Christian theology, liturgy, and education. Such a negative portrayal of the Jewish people and of Judaism has been a factor in the shaping of anti Jewish attitudes of societies and the policies of governments. The most devastating lethal metastasis of this process occurred in our own country during the Holocaust.Faced with this history from which we as Christians cannot, and must not, disassociate ourselves, we ask for God’s forgiveness through our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for divine grace that will enable us, more firmly than ever before, to turn from this path of rejection and persecution to affirm that Judaism has not been superseded by Christianity; that Christianity is not to be understood as the successor religion to Judaism; God’s covenant with the Jewish people has never been abrogated. God has not rejected the Jewish people; God is faithful in keeping covenant.

That is how Satan works: The mistaken and unfortunate persecution of Jews is compounded by fake Christians like Chuck deliberately withholding the Gospel from them.

Mohler’s advice to Weiner reminds us that there is still a powerful divide between some Christians and Jews. Christians like Mohler see their faith as superior to the Jewish faith and the Hebrew Scriptures of lesser value and importance than the Christian New Testament.

Well, duh.  Chuck obviously knows so little about the New Testament isn’t even funny.  Has he ever studied Romans?  Hebrews?  Anything besides Matthew 7:1 and Matthew 25, which he can’t even get right?

Mohler’s view of Judaism is obscene.

Then so were the Apostle Paul’s and Jesus’ views.  I know Chuck will dismiss all of Paul, saying he was a bigoted homophobe, but Jesus couldn’t have been more clear that He was the only way and that the Jews would die in their sins if they didn’t believe in him.   In short, Chuck disagrees with God, all the while parading as his representative.

And shame on the Huffington Post for giving space to an apostate “reverend” like Chuck who can’t even find a permanent job (his gig as “acting pastor for the interim pastor” just ended, and yes, that sounds a lot like Dwight Schrute’s “Assistant to the Regional Manager” title — only not as permanent).

Run, don’t walk, from false teachers like Chuck Currie and denominations like the UCC which employ him.

Jesus is the only way to salvation.  I don’t care how unpopular that message is, it is the truth and I’ll keep sharing it for those who are authentically seeking the truth and desire to be reconciled with God and to live with him forever.

Another false teacher profile

Here are some lowlights from false teacher Chuck Currie’s latest sermon: Immigrant Rights Sunday: A Sermon On John 20:19-31.  The shortcut to this link is http://wp.me/p1wGU-2TH .

The “sermon” is a train wreck of bad theology and bad thinking, but it is illuminating in highlighting a false teacher.  As a public service I listened to it all (the FDA considers it a substitute for Syrup of Ipecac, so listen to it at your own risk).  Seriously, I urge people to know just how rampant fakes are in the church today.  While Chuck only led one small failed church, the United Church of Christ puts him out there as a mouthpiece for their denomination.  That speaks volumes.

Sometimes I feel sorry for those misled by false teachers like Chuck, but other times I think they get what they deserve.  This wolf in sheep’s clothing has taken off the sheep’s clothing and is pure wolf.  If they were real Christians they should have gotten up and left, or at least made sure he never took the pulpit in their church again.

Note that he picks one passage, explains why he thinks it doesn’t belong in the Bible, then switches to politics.  Some of the more egregious errors and issues:

  • Your first question might be, “What does the passage about Thomas seeing the evidence of Jesus’ resurrection have to do with the rights of illegal immigrants?”  The answer, of course, is “Nothing.  It is just a random scripture read to help pretend that what follows is somehow associated with historic Christianity.”
  • He claims that the Gospel of John was written 100 years after the resurrection.  Conservative scholarship places it at 50-70 A.D. (partly because no destruction of the temple is mentioned), but even Liberal scholars will put it at 90-100 A.D.  Claiming it was written in 130 A.D. isn’t just Liberal, it is crazy-making-this-up-as-I-go-along-Liberal.  This Gospel was quoted by church fathers, some of whom were John’s disciples, many times before 130 A.D.  (what a great author to be quoted before you wrote something!).  Chuck offers no support for his fantasy date.  But a late dating is crucial to his underlying theme that the writers were forgers and liars.  Such is the desperate position of anti-Christians.  They hate the eye-witness claims of John, so they must position the whole book as lies.  Hey Chuck, just because you are a serial, unrepentant liar doesn’t mean the early Christians were.
  • If the early Christians didn’t think the physical resurrection was true they wouldn’t lie about it.  They’d stop being Christians!  Why endure the persecution if you “knew” your religion was false?  They had access to 1 Corinthians 15 from within a couple decades of the resurrection, so they knew essential that doctrine was.  In the same way, if a false teacher like Chuck really believed what he taught he’d have his church send out reverse missionaries. After all, if there are other ways to salvation besides Jesus, as Chuck claims, then the loving thing to do would be to encourage everyone to adhere to their local religion and avoid any conflict or persecution.
  • He brags about preaching for “marriage equality” (not in the Bible) and support for gun control (not in the Bible).  But even his prior Liberal (and failed) church didn’t like his illegal immigration views.  I suppose he thinks they were all racists.
  • If Chuck thinks the Gospel of John is inauthentic, why does he bother to preach from it?
  • He references global climate change as if it is a real issue for the church to deal with.
  • He claims that John was made up, but quotes it when it serves his purpose.  The passage is a classic one to demonstrate the reality of the physical resurrection, but Chuck thinks it is a lie.
  • Chuck thinks Jesus’ mission is to give unlimited rights to illegal aliens.  Of course Chuck just calls them “immigrants.”
  • He forgot to mention Romans 13 and the role of government and how Christians should obey laws.
  • It never occurs to him to share the real Gospel with illegal immigrants — or anyone else, for that matter.
  • He talks about loving our neighbors but is wildly pro-abortion, even advocating taxpayer-funded abortions.
  • He plays the race card about those questioning Obama’s birth certificate.  What a joke.  People don’t like Obama because he is a bad President with bad ideas.  He thinks it is racism because no other President was asked to provide a birth certificate, ignoring the fact that it has never been a question in the past.  Don’t you think Clinton would have loved to have been asked for his BC?  It would have drawn attention away from the serial adultery and credible rape allegations against him.  BTW, race-baiting is nothing new for Chuck (click the link for a funny episode).  And remember, he supports taxpayer-funded abortions, which will increase the ratio of abortions in the black community to beyond the current ratio of 3x to that of whites.  That’s real racism.
  • Another sermon with no cross and no Gospel — just droning on with politics disguised as religion.  He advocates for the “Dream Act.”

Warning: Be sure to save your comments if you post at Chuck’s site.  He has a history of deleting comments, only to then lie about what the comments really said.  Should we be surprised that a false teacher would do such a thing?

Some other considerations about this false teacher:

For starters, he never demonstrated why we should listen to him.  Let’s look at some facts about Chuck’s leadership and executive experience:

  • Very Liberal “reverend”
  • Very Liberal denomination
  • Very Liberal city and state
  • Failed church

Hmmmm . . . see anything wrong with that?  How can orthodox pastors like Mark Driscoll preach long, “boring” (in the traditional, secular sense) verse-by-verse sermons in Liberal places like Seattle and grow their church attendance dramatically, while people like Chuck have every demographic in their favor yet produce an epic FAIL?  Must be those UCC ejector seats!  What is it that qualifies Chuck as an expert here on religion or politics, especially when it is proven that Liberals fail at basic economics?

Some more of Chuck’s views:

  • Jesus is not the only way to salvation
  • Jesus is pro-abortion, including partial-birth abortion and taxpayer-funded abortion
  • the Holy Spirit told him and the other Liberals in the UCC that God has changed his stance on marriage, parenting and homosexual behavior (now that’s blasphemy!)
  • you should take first grade girls to gay pride parades (something about millstones comes to mind) .  You’d think that even his atheist wife (he’s apparently not much of an evangelist) would prevent that abuse of their children.
  • the book of John doesn’t belong in the Bible
  • gets more excited worshiping Charles Darwin more than he does Jesus
  • the Gospel of Thomas does belong in the Bible
  • it is acceptable to lie and libel people on blogs as long as you think you won’t get caught
  • Christians  have as much to learn from other religions as they do from us (really?  I don’t remember Jesus saying that . . . what does Islam have to teach about Jesus that the Bible doesn’t?)
  • and so much more!
You’ve been warned.  Run, don’t walk, from Chuck and the UCC.

False teachers worship government instead of Jesus

False teachers* continue to whine and fast** over the U.S. budget, ignoring that their plans involve taking from others — most of whom can’t vote and who may not even have been born yet (and won’t be, if these pro-aborts have their way).  It is illuminating how the Democrats gave up billions of dollars in spending rather than lose a few hundred million that goes to Planned Parenthood.

Their “churches” aren’t giving themselves because they are too busy with their #1 priority of advancing the anti-biblical gay agenda.  Therefore, they must ask the government to take from neighbor A to “give” to neighbor B.  How generous of them!  And how un-biblical!

There is no greater concern among the churches of Christ than for those in this nation who live in poverty. This could hardly be otherwise because Jesus himself lived among the poor: loving them, eating and drinking with them, healing them, and speaking words of justice and assurance that God’s own love for the poor is unsurpassed.

via GOP Sets Fire To Matthew 25; Will President Obama Put Out The Flames?

Note the hyperbole: If you don’t force future generations to pay for your wish list now, then you are burning the Bible.  What hyperbole. And as usual, the ones pretending to care about the least of these also want your tax dollars to pay for the destruction of the true least of these, the unborn.

More importantly, notice the non sequitur: Jesus spent time with the poor and loved them, therefore the government needs to redistribute money from producers to non-producers.  These false teachers parrot these sound bites so much they don’t even realize there is no logical connection — or they know and don’t care, and the media lets them get away with it.

And even though these false teachers don’t even understand Matthew 25, shouldn’t the ACLU be alarmed about that whole separation thingy?  After all, why would anyone expect Obama to advance that passage?

The motto of the United Church of Christ and other apostate denominations should be: “Caring for the least of these — or destroying them — with your money.”

*False teachers include people like Jim “the Gospel is all about wealth redistributionWallis and race-baiting Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie

** Normally I’d never comment on anyone’s weight, but unless the camera adds 90 lbs. I’d say that false teachers like Chuck and Jim are pretty fast-resistant.

False teacher fallacy-fest on oxymoronic “same-sex marriage”

It is hard to believe that false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie could cram this many fallacies into one little post, yet here we are.  In one of his seemingly never-ending perversions of scripture, he insists that Jesus’ command to love your neighbor as yourself requires state-sanctioned endorsement of un-biblical sexual preferences.

Faith leaders from across are showing their support for freedom to marry, in large part because of the simple message that we all should strive to treat others as we would wish to be treated.

1. “Faith leaders” is code for false teachers — those who teach the opposite of the Bible and are so homophobic that they have a greater fear of being unpopular with the gay lobby than they do with the God they claim to worship.  Chuck uses this word game reflexively, where he implies that just because more than one “religious” person is for something that they are a majority or have biblical support for their position.

2. People already have “freedom to marry” anyone they like — of the opposite sex — because that’s what marriage was and is.  Opposite sex couples, by nature and design, produce the next generation, and only they can provide a mother and a father to a child.

And even those freedoms have some restrictions, such as age and the “one per customer” requirement (though Chuck’s position implicitly supports polygamy).

3. The golden rule obviously has limitations.  If I wanted others to be able to use heroin just because I want to use heroin that wouldn’t be a reasoned use of the term.

4. It ignores the consequences of providing civil rights for sexual preferences: The harm done to small children who will now be taught how “normal” homosexual, bisexual, transgender and whatever-comes-next behavior is, business owners forced to abandon their religious principles, adoption agencies closing, etc.

“As a minister in the United Church of Christ, I preach about God’s extravagant welcome… that God excludes no one and welcomes all.

Yes, that is what his “church” teaches.  As usual, he twists words.  Real Christianity really is open to all — all those who repent and trust in Jesus, that is.  But it is exclusive in that you must come to God on his terms.  Chuck’s false church gets it backwards, teaching that everyone gets in whether they want to or not, or that all religions are equally valid paths to God.

As parents, Liz and I want our daughters to honor the golden rule – that timeless truth that we should treat others as we wish to be treated – and for us that includes making sure gay and lesbian couples have the right to marry and raise a family just as we have.  We dream of a day when all are equal before the law.”

5. Chuck’s wife is an atheist, by the way.  Apparently evangelism isn’t his strong suit.  Chuck takes his 6 yr. old daughters to gay pride parades.  You’d think that at least his wife would have the sense to prevent that.

6. Gays and lesbians, by nature and design, cannot create a family.

7. Chuck falsely states that gays and lesbians can’t marry, as if the law says they can’t go to any number of apostate churches, like his, and get married.  But he isn’t asking for that, he is asking for government recognition of these unions.  His church’s #1 appeal seems to be seeking Federal recognition of the fraction of a fraction of these folks who want this government recognition (i.e., the few who want to get married out of the 2-3% who are gay/lesbian).

8. Chuck ignores bisexuals. Why is he so bigoted and hateful?

9. As noted before, they are equal under the law.  They can marry someone of the opposite sex.

10. Hey, I wonder if Chuck & Co. will take their “golden rule” sermons to the Middle East?  If they think the U.S. culture is so unloving, they’ll really have some harsh words for Muslims.

Don’t be fooled by sound bites, folks.  The truth sounds like hate to those that hate the truth.  If you really love people, including LGBTQ folks and those impacted by these laws, then you’ll have all of their long term best interests at heart.  You won’t put your comfort and popularity above the truth.

Don’t be a coward on this issue.  Don’t let false teachers steal and distort the “golden rule” or anything else from the Bible.  Stand up for the truth and for what God really says.
