Ten minutes to prove the devastating impact of media bias

Voters aren’t just uninformed about key issues and people, they are deliberately misinformed by the media to ignore faults of Democratic candidates and even to attribute them to Republicans.  And they are well-informed about irrelevant issues and false attacks.

When you start watching this video you might just get the impression that it is mocking ignorant people and that both sides could do that (although Snoop Dogg sure is a winsome and compelling representative of all things Obama).  But keep watching and you’ll find out there is much more to this proof of media bias and how it is helping destroy the country.

Finding people who don’t know about Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, who controlled Congress at the time, etc. would be like shooting fish in a barrel.  But it wasn’t just that they were extremely uninformed on important players and issues.  Consider the following:

  • They were extremely well-informed on less important issues such as which candidate had the daughter with an out-of-wedlock child and whose political party paid $150,000 for her clothes.
  • They were extremely misinformed on many things about Palin and McCain, such as what Palin really said about Russia. Why? Because as part of the Leftist Media’s literal 18-to-1 negative to positive stories on Palin the Big 3 networks all repeated a Saturday Night Live skit that mocked Palin by distorting the truth.
  • They were extremely uninformed about negatives about the Democratic candidates, so much so that they assumed the negatives were about Palin or McCain.  They assumed that Palin made the “57 states” comment that Obama made (though ironically they realized how idiotic the statement was).  They didn’t know Obama got his opponents kicked off his ballot but assumed it was Palin or McCain.  They didn’t even know Biden quit a presidential campaign for plagiarizing a speech.  What could have been more relevant?  They didn’t know that Obama claimed that he would deliberately bankrupt the coal industry.  They had never heard of Bill Ayers.  And so on.

More here.

Zogby Poll

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet…..

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Here’s the 2012 version: Most voters don’t know how wildly successful Romney has been in business, in running the Olympics, how generous he has been, etc.

If you only consume the Liberal media then I can guarantee you that you are ill-informed.  Don’t be a tool.

Race and gender

Harry Reid’s comments about President Obama’s skin color and speech revealed much. It shows who is really post-racial.

I wouldn’t have voted for someone with Obama’s views regardless of skin color. I would vote for someone of any skin color, including someone darker than Obama, if he or she held the right views. In other words, even though McCain wasn’t great, if he and Obama had switched views I would have voted for Obama.

Do some vote based on skin color? Sure, but it is, ironically enough, a minority – just like some wouldn’t vote for Palin because she’s a woman.

But the media forgot to point out that regardless of what you thought of Palin’s views, the support for her annihilated the canard that conservatives as a group are sexist. The Left hated her because she destroyed the “conservatives are anti-women” meme, plus the fact that she didn’t have her son destroyed just because he had Down Syndrome or because she had too many kids already.

The same goes for skin color. Conservatives are more likely to focus on ideas, not race or gender.

The speech pattern comment was irrelevant. Anyone who speaks in a profoundly inarticulate way won’t get elected regardless of skin color. (And spare me the President Bush jokes unless you are willing to concede how badly Obama stumbles without a TelePrompTer.)

Reid really tipped his hand about his core beliefs. And how hypocritical that Conservatives who make racially insensitive remarks are destroyed but Liberals who do so are pre-forgiven. Shouldn’t the stakes for the Politically Correct crowd be at least as high if not higher? Wasn’t Reid guilty of hate speech?

“The Other McCain” on unions

Be sure to read all of Palin causes unprecedented event:Labor unions condemn ‘lying’ by The Other McCain (great blog — accurate conservative content and good humor).  Some choice bits:

What is most interesting about anti-Palin fanatics is how uninteresting they are. Insanity is interesting; stupidity is not. And never have such dull people gone so hopelessly mad.
. . .

The U.S. auto industry is now in receivership because of union control. It’s obviously not because American workers cannot make cars — Toyota, Nissan, Honda, KIA and many other foreign automakers have U.S. plants. But those plants are all located in “right-to-work” states, where unions can’t force workers to join.

Join a labor union and you’re paying dues to those who will eventually put you out of a job.

The only industry where the anti-competitive effect of unionism seems to have no such job-killing effect is . . . government.

Those “fake” death panels

Hey, I checked my stats and saw two whole hits coming from the site of a well documented fraud.  Welcome!  I’m glad you are reading a site that professes authentic Christianity and not the fake, girlie-man, passive-aggressive, postmodern, intellectually bankrupt, “In your face, God!” tripe put out by Liberal theologians.

Here’s a news clip about an Oregon woman who was told that her chemo wouldn’t be covered but her physician-assisted suicide would be:

But the death panels aren’t real, you lying conservative haters!  Which is why we took them out of the bill!  Where do you come up with these things?!

Welcome to visitors from The Other McCain!  This post is just one of my (sort of) weekly summaries of great links.  Please browse around the other recent posts or categories and see if this spot is to your liking (or disliking).

Great fact-filled piece by Ann Coulter about the Professor Gates affair

Senate drops “death panel” provision — you know, the death panel that didn’t exist.

Barack, I know Abe Lincoln, and you ain’t Abe Lincoln

Another one of President Obama’s deceptions about his plans for abortion funding.  Here’s part of what he said two years ago:

Obama responded quite clearly he planned for abortion not only to be part of taxpayer-funded health care but also forcibly covered by private insurers. He added he thought it “important” for the United States’ largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, to be part of his plan.

“Well, look, in my mind reproductive care is essential care. It is basic care. And so it is at the center and at the heart of the plan that I propose. Essentially … we’re gonna set up a public plan … that will provide all essential services, including reproductive services. We also will subsidize those who prefer to stay in the private insurance market – except the insurers are going to have to abide by the same rules in terms of providing comprehensive care, including reproductive care.”

William Dembski answers the top 3 objections to intelligent design

The MP3 file is here.

Here are the objections he addressed:

  1. Just because something is unlikely doesn’t mean that it was designed because improbable things occur all the time.
  2. You can’t infer design if the object is sub-optimally designed, or exhibits evil
  3. But intelligent design is just re-packaged creationism

Biden: ‘WE HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO KEEP FROM GOING BANKRUPT’

(Audio) Biden: ‘WE HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO KEEP FROM GOING BANKRUPT’ : Stop The ACLU.

“And folks look, AARP knows and the people with me here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it now. It can’t do it financially.”

“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that’s what I’m telling you.”

The MSM and the ill-informed people who think we should “celebrate” Joe Biden’s Vice-Presidency should never stop apologizing to Sarah Palin.  Whatever she is, she is way better than Obama and/or Biden.  Whether it is their un-Constitutional economic efforts, their radical pro-abortion policies, their idiotic spending, their general corruption, etc., they are the worst.

It is hard to imagine Biden saying something more stupid than he already has, yet here we are.

Media bias

Here’s a must read update on the controversial Zogby poll that demonstrated the overwhelming bias and influence of the mainstream media.

The survey has been validated by a second survey, again demonstrating that people who were better informed voted for McCain, watched Fox over the more liberal outlets, etc.  Of course that doesn’t prove that Fox informed them better, as perhaps better informed people watch Fox.

But it demonstrated that Obama viewers were more ignorant in several key ways, and it was clearly tied to what the mainstream media reported:

  • Ignorance of basic facts such as which party currently controls Congress
  • Believing lies about Republicans
  • Unaware of the truth about Obama / Biden

Can you imagine what the election results would have been if the candidates had consistently been introduced this way?

  • Joe Biden, who dropped out of the 1988 Presidential campaign because he was caught plagiarizing . . .
  • Barack Obama, who has less experience than Governor Sarah Palin . . .
  • John McCain, who is well known for real reform and has a record of working with Democrats . . .
  • Sarah Palin, the most popular Governor in America . . .
  • Governor Sarah Palin, who has accomplished real reform and successfully fought corruption in her own party . . .
  • Governor Sarah Palin, who knows more about energy issues than all the other candidates . . .
  • Governor Sarah Palin, who has more executive experience than Barack Obama . . .
  • Governor Sarah Palin, who successfully governs a larger and more complicated state than Bill Clinton did . . .
  • Barack Obama, who was the lone vote against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois . . .

Worst. Election. Ever.

Now where did I put my Flintstones Chewable Prozac?

Seriously, my real joy is in the Lord and not in shifting temporal things.

But there was some good news: The Democrats didn’t get their 60 seats in the Senate.  That would have been a disaster.

Also, the pro-traditional marriage initiatives passed in California and Florida.  We need an Amendment for the U.S. Constitution, though.  Does anyone think that a few new liberal judges on the Supreme Court won’t invent a “right” to oxymoronic gay marriage?  State judges have done so.

And the Supreme Court once imagined that the Constitution contained the unlimited right to crush and dismember the unborn, and look where we are now: Almost 50 million dead.  If they can create that fiction, they can make up anything.  Liberal judges are an imaginative bunch.

More good news: Number of riots instigated by McCain supporters = zero.

Obama back pedals in his first two minutes, and is already angling for a 2nd term!

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term… There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won’t agree with every decision or policy I make as president. And we know the government can’t solve every problem.

Uh, wait a minute, didn’t you promise the opposite of that the last two years?  Everyone who is surprised, raise your hand.  That’s what I thought.

Great election recap by Randy Alcorn on the importance of what we do next.

Followers of Christ, regardless of who they advocated and voted for, should now pray wholeheartedly for our new president and his administration, as Scripture instructs us in First Timothy 2:1-4: I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

It isn’t too early for 2012, is it?  Brooke shared this.  I’m good with it.

Random thoughts: Racism, media bias and Obama’s lies

Real Christians don’t mock the Bible.

It is only about race to the liberals! The endless chatter from them about racism is sickening.  The journalists who perpetuated the “Obama can only lose because of racism” should find a new line of work.

People voting for McCain are doing so based on issues, facts and logic, not skin color.  Here’s how we can know this: When Hillary was running we heard all sorts of things about the glass ceiling and misogyny.  The conventional wisdom that conservatives are anti-women got annihilated when Palin was selected.  Did anyone notice – with or without the 18-to-1 media bias from the “Big 3” – that conservatives did cartwheels over her, donated big $$, bought yard signs, etc.?

It wasn’t that conservatives were anti-women, they were just pro-conservative ideas.  We appreciated her ideas, not her chromosomes.  Oh, and the fact that she has more experience than Obama.

If McCain would have picked a conservative black person we would have been just as excited.

So enough with the racism on the part of the liberals!  We have made major strides in this country and they and Obama are just taking us backwards.

The media bias on the “bankrupt the coal companies” is just the poison icing on the cake for them.  That shows once again that Obama deceived people when he claimed to be pro-coal, and the media did their best to hide it.

This just in: Palin exonerated by Alaskan Board.  Too bad the media will gloss over this now that they have trashed her for months.

Perhaps the most sickening lie of the Obama campaign is to take the most pro-abortion candidate ever and try to spin him as being pro-life.  Worse yet, they abused Matthew 25 to do so!  That passages talks about helping the “least of these,” while Obama wants to take away any restrictions to crush and dismember the least of these.

Final thoughts from this post:

When Obama’s lies, mistakes, omissions, 15-plus flip-flops and character-damning choice of associates and mentors (yes, he did say Wright had been a mentor, before he said he wasn’t), and Joe Biden’s stupid mistakes, gaffes, false-lunchbucket-Joe mantle, drunken embarrassments and repeat stupidity of multiple plagiarisms get as much media and public-citizen attention as anything Sarah Palin or John McCain has said or done wrong, then maybe, just maybe, you can count us out of McCain’s and Palin’s camp.
