This has been the best week in politics in the last 5 years. I’m not glad that the Obama administration did all these illegal and unethical things. We knew they were doing them (for those who actually research these sort of things, he did them long before running for President). But now the few excesses that have gone public are so egregious that even Socialists like Stewart can’t deny them. If anyone thinks that the scandals are only limited to what we know about Benghazi, the IRS, AP, Fast and Furious, etc., then they are still part of the problem. (Oh, and the fact that they are still on the record for unrestricted, taxpayer-funded baby killing and their wildly anti-family and anti-Christian policies is no coincidence.) The administration is still trying out their Excuse of the Day (yesterday day was, “We’re not corrupt, just incompetent!”). I think they are corrupt and incompetent, but whichever lane they pick we have a solid argument against them. Don’t give up.
But this isn’t just about Obama and his over-the-top corrupt administration, it is about big government. It is inherently inefficient and can’t be trusted, so you must limit it. Don’t run against Obama, run against big government and Liberalism.
P.S. How many of these scandals were President Bush’s fault?!
Whistleblower Cases Show Planned Parenthood Engages in Massive Fraud — Don’t expect to hear about this in the mainstream media. This is why Planned Parenthood’s CEO campaigned full-time for Obama for a while and why they “donated” millions of the tax dollars they received to the Obama campaign.
Planned Parenthood insists it is a necessary and trusted healthcare provider that must be supported by taxpayer dollars. Recently unsealed “whistleblower” lawsuits[i] tell a starkly different story. Former Planned Parenthood employees allege improper and illegal corporate policies were implemented by Planned Parenthood to increase profits, to the detriment of both the taxpayers and the women and families government programs seek to serve.
In the most recently unsealed suit, Thayer v. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland,[ii] Sue Thayer, former manager for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland (PPH), alleges that PPH filed nearly one-half million false claims with Medicaid. According to Ms. Thayer’s complaint, PPH fraudulently received and retained nearly $28 million in taxpayer funding through abusive billing practices.
Ms. Thayer alleges that to enhance revenues, PPH implemented a “C-Mail” program that effectively mailed thousands of unrequested birth control pills to women, and then billed the government for these pills. According to her complaint, PPH also solicited funds from patients for services fully covered by government programs while continuing to bill the government program for full reimbursement.
Our investigation exposes not only how unsafe Planned Parenthood clinics can be for women, but also how dishonest and untrustworthy Planned Parenthood is to the very women it claims to defend,” says Rose. “How shameful that two months after their clinic botched an abortion that took the life of 24-year old Tonya Reaves and her pre-born baby, Planned Parenthood lies to the public and pretends nothing happened. When it comes to the lethal dangers of its billion-dollar abortion business, no lie is too audacious for Planned Parenthood.

And one more on PP — they are using $12m of your tax dollars to ask for more tax dollars. Their CEO is taking a break from running the abortion machine to campaign full-time for Obama. She knows where her money comes from! One more reason to vote Romney.
The Obama Administration’s disregard for the law has struck again—and this time, it’s encouraging others to violate the law at taxpayer expense.
That’s worth saying again: The Obama Administration is encouraging people to violate a law, and promising that it will use taxpayer money to cover fines incurred from this action.
The law: The law in question is called the WARN Act, and it requires that federal contractors send employees layoff notices 60 days before a plant closing or mass layoff.
The inconvenience: Massive defense spending cuts under sequestration are scheduled to hit on January 2, 2013. Defense contractors affected by the budget cuts would have to issue notice letters to employees by November 2 (four days before the election) to meet the January 2 start date for the spending cuts.
The penalty taxpayers would pay: Employers who violate the WARN Act are liable to their former employees for “back pay for each day of a violation” and “benefits under an employee benefit plan,” as well as a penalty of $500 for each day that notice has not been sent to the local government where the layoffs will occur.
The woman named “Democrat of The Year” this year by the Jefferson County Democratic Party has been convicted of felony theft by a Jefferson County jury for stealing from a developmentally disabled 71-year-old woman. …
On Thursday, a jury convicted 66-year-old Estelle Carson of felony identify theft and felony theft from an at risk adult for stealing checks from the woman and using them to pay her own cable, cell phone and internet bills.
The victim is partially blind, developmentally disabled, has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. She is on a fixed income of $596 per month according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
Nearly as bothersome as the theft itself … is the fact the Jefferson County Democratic Party was made aware of the ongoing criminal investigation and honored Carson anyway.

The most important fact of history ever: Jesus really rose from the dead. And we have lots of evidence for our belief! Don’t leave this life without carefully examining the evidence yourself.
You know, this administration is very good at touting and giving all the details like when they got Bin Laden. But now, we know that there were tapes, recordings inside the consulate during this fight, and they’ve gotten—they came—the F.B.I. finally got in and took those, and now they’re classified as “top secret.” Why would they be top secret? So the president went on various shows, despite what he said he said in the Rose Garden, about terrorist acts, he went on several programs, including “The View” including “Letterman” including before the U.N., where he continued to refer, days later, many days later, to this as a spontaneous demonstration because of a hateful video. We know that is patently false. What did the president know? When did he know it? And what did he do about it?
Kinsey, though married to a woman who took part in his many filmed “scientific” orgies, was a promiscuous homosexual and sadomasochist. He managed to completely upend and twist the world’s perception of human sexuality in the 1950s and ’60s with his world famous “Kinsey Reports.”
Even today, most are completely unaware that during his tenure at Indiana University, Kinsey facilitated, with stopwatches and ledgers, the systematic sexual abuse of hundreds, if not thousands, of children and infants – all in the name of science.
. . .
According to the FBI, child molesters:
Demonstrate sex acts to children. Offenders commonly use pornography to teach or give instructions to naïve children about how to masturbate, perform oral sex and/or engage in sexual intercourse.
Lower the sexual inhibitions of children. Some children naturally fear sexual activities. Some offenders show pictures of other children engaging in sexual activities to overcome these fears, indicating to their intended victims that it is all right to have sex with an adult because lots of other boys and girls do the same thing.
Desensitize children to sex. Offenders commonly show child pornography to their intended victims to expose them to sexual acts before they are naturally curious about such activities.
Sexually arouse children. Offenders commonly use pornographic images of other children to arouse victims, particularly those in adolescence.
During her lecture, Dr. Reisman shocked the 50-plus in attendance by illustrating that today’s Kinseyan-based sex education – as promoted by Obama’s HHS – does much of what the FBI describes above.
As I alluded to in response to a comment made on my post reporting on the recent pro-life rally in Melbourne, there are a couple of things that I felt would have been beneficial to exclude from the event. I mention what those are in the below paragraphs.
One of the more interesting points I noted with regards to the pro-abortion protesters in my previous article was the tactical angle of their messages:
Shame, bigots, shame! Shame, bigots, shame!
We won, you lost! We won, you lost!
God raped Mary. She should have aborted
Black, white, queer, straight! Women will control our fate!
If the foetus you save is gay, will you still fight for it’s rights?
My vagina has nothing to do with your God
Jesus was not a fascist like these clowns
Contrast the above with these pro-life slogans espoused at the same event:
Its easy to be ‘pro-choice’ when you’re not the one being killed
Cruelty to animals is called ‘evil’. Torture to babies is called ‘choice’
Lots of people want to adopt [but there’s] no babies!
We kill an AFL Grand Final crowd each year
Everyone deserves a birth-day
Mums need support, not pressure to abort
Every life is valuable
Change the law. Save the babies. Help the mothers
aDoPtion not aBoRtion
Each life is unique from conception
Pretend I’m a tree and save me
Take my hand, not my life
Pray to end abortion*

Throwing more money at education will not fix it. More commentary here. They should take a tiny portion of the budget and visit one-on-one with parents and caregivers and let them know that they are the key to the child’s success. No amount of spending or government bureaucracy will overcome slacker parents.
I’m not getting it. If we’re spending so very much on education, why aren’t we the top? Why aren’t we the best educated people on the planet? Why do we keep trying to throw more money at it as if that will fix it? If throwing more money at it has not improved education, why do we continue to think that’s the answer? Or is that a learning problem, too?
I thought I’d post this comment and my response that resulted from the Facebook memes post. Looks like I have another fan.
Your “logic” is irrevocobly flawed. I’m just curious, when was it that you “proved” your civil right to marry a woman? When was it that African Americans “proved” their civil right to freedom? When did they “prove” their civil right to equal treatment? And what did they do to prove it? As was the case with slavery, just because something is done a certain way for a long time, doesn’t make it the “correct” or “only” way. If YOUR religion prohibits YOU from accepting gay marriage, I completely respect that. I obviously do not agree with you, but I aknowledge your desire to adhere to your religious beliefs. With that said, YOUR religion has absolutely NOTHING to do with the running of our government; nor does it have any part in determining what is, and what isn’t a person’s civil rights. Our forefathers made a point to both protect our citizens rights to worship their chosen religion, AND protect our government from undue religious influence. Nowhere in our Constitution, is there found a definition for marriage. I am well aware what the “traditional” meaning is, as I am aware that gay couples can’t produce children, so please don’t feel the need to “inform” me on those two facts. “Traditional” doesn’t equate “the only way”, it simply means the most popular way. And obviously, many unions between a man and a woman do not produce children. So what truth outside the Bible do you believe you stand on? If the Bible doesn’t influence our judicial system, what do you propose as an argument in the Supreme Court, against it? Will you argue that gay people haven’t sucessfully proven their civil right to marry? Establishing a burden of proof does not apply to civil rights.
I would love to read your rebuttle, because I am honestly trying to understand your thought process. Sadly, I’m sure you will not allow this comment to be posted, because it rationally and coherently refutes your reasoning. I have found that Conservative bloggers tend to deny the comments that are based on facts, when the facts aren’t in their favor. I truly hope you aren’t as cowardly as the rest.
Regarding conservative blogs moderating you, please hold off on martyr status until you do some self-reflection. Your comment here was an extended straw-man argument about religious views. Ironically, your anti-religion bigotry and prejudices fit much better with the pictured meme than our view about real marriage. It is self-serving on your part to go to conservative blogs with your fallacious rants and then pre-emptively call them cowards for not wanting to discuss things with you. If I try to avoid an irrational crank at work I’m being wise, not cowardly.
If you want to gain some credibility here, please provide links to where you have made comments like this to theological liberals (read: fake Christians) who advocate for oxymoronic “same-sex marriage.” You may also want to consider how I didn’t make religious arguments, I made secular ones.
If YOUR religion prohibits YOU from accepting opposing gay marriage, I completely respect that. Nowhere in our Constitution, is there found a definition for marriage. . . .
You’ll note that I only had to change one word to turn your diatribe into one against the anti-biblical “Christians” who push for “same-sex marriage.” So unless you are a hypocrite, you’ll have plenty of examples to show me where you fight their un-Constitutional intrusion into the marriage debate. Or do you just play the religious-suppression card on those you disagree with?
You might also want to consider how the 1st Amendment protects religious speech and does not prohibit it. As with the Obama administration, you have it backwards. My religion teaches me that it is wrong to beat up atheists and steal their property. Using your logic I’d have to be silent on that in the public square or even vote the opposite, lest I “force” my religious views on atheists.
Now to a couple of your arguments:
I am well aware what the “traditional” meaning is, as I am aware that gay couples can’t produce children, so please don’t feel the need to “inform” me on those two facts. “Traditional” doesn’t equate “the only way”, it simply means the most popular way. And obviously, many unions between a man and a woman do not produce children. So what truth outside the Bible do you believe you stand on?
That’s a clever rhetorical trick you play there, and sadly enough, it works on many people. You concede my key point that by nature and design gay couples can’t produce children, but you simultaneously pretend that I haven’t made any secular arguments. Not so fast. Since we both agree on that fact, you should ask why government is involved in any personal relationships. The government does not regulate my love for my wife, nor does it need to. It is only involved because the obvious ideal, supported by countless studies and common sense, is that a child be raised by his mother and father, as well as the scientific fact that children are produced by unions of one man and one woman. Even Darwinists should see the merits of that.
And I didn’t use the term “traditional,” you inserted that. Words mean things, and throughout history the term marriage has meant the union of a man and a woman. Only recently have some dictionaries bowed to pressure and modified it. And your overly broad argument also justifies polygamy and incest and is already being used by pedophiles. After all, if you are changing the definition of marriage why do you get to pull up the drawbridge after you’ve made your preferred change? Why won’t you let others change the laws to suit their desires?
And obviously, many unions between a man and a woman do not produce children.
Agreed, but this doesn’t change the premise that by nature and design children are produced by a union of a male and a female and that only those unions can provide a mother and a father to a child.
Since you brought up the religion topic I thought I’d share a summary of what the one true God says about marriage and parenting:
100% of the verses addressing homosexual behavior denounce it as sin in the clearest and strongest possible terms.
100% of the verses referring to God’s ideal for marriage involve one man and one woman.
100% of the verses referencing parenting involve moms and dads with unique roles (or at least a set of male and female parents guiding the children).
0% of 31,173 Bible verses refer to homosexual behavior in a positive or even benign way or even hint at the acceptability of homosexual unions.
1. He’s a RINO (Republican In Name Only). Example: As much as he has tried to pretend he is pro-life, it is all just weasel-words in the predictable “I’m personally against crushing and dismembering innocent human beings but if elected I won’t do a thing about it” political spin.
2. Even if he wasn’t a RINO he can’t beat Obama. He can’t run against Obamacare, because it is mirrored on Romneycare. And the Democrats and the mainstream media (redundancy alert, I know) are well aware of that. That’s why they and the Republican elite keep pushing Romney as the front-runner. Their worst-case scenario, which has a slim chance of occurring, would be a President that is almost as Left as Obama.
State treasurer of MA absolutely shreds RomneyCare, which “has nearly bankrupted the state” and is surviving solely because of federal aid…
“If President Obama and the Democrats repeat the mistake of the health insurance reform here in Massachusetts on a national level, they will threaten to wipe out the American economy within four years,” Cahill said in a press conference in his office.
…[T]he state’s health insurance law…Cahill said, “has nearly bankrupted the state.”
Cahill said the law is being sustained only with the help of federal aid, which he suggested that the Obama administration is funneling to Massachusetts to help the president make the case for a similar plan in Congress…
Voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina should take note. After all, they are paying for RomneyCare along with all of the rest of us.
3. The media will do the same thing with Romney that they did with McCain: Be his cheerleader until the primaries are over, then bring out the knives. Only then will you hear them bring up the oddities of Mormonism and other attacks.
Conclusion: Don’t be suckers and let the Democrats tell you how to vote!
Here is a great timeline on the Solyndra scandal, courtesy of Verum Serum. It is already a little dated, though, as it doesn’t include how the Solyndra executives promised to testify yet are now refusing.
This is pure crony capitalism and political payoffs. It also highlights the foolishness of much of the Green movement. Hopefully this gets to where the mainstream media can’t ignore it (though MSNBC is trying by not mentioning it in prime time).
Note how the Bush administration rejected them but the Obama administration wasted half a billion dollars on them. Coincidentally, of course, a major Obama fundraiser and donor was involved on the Solyndra side.
This is sad and takes place all over the country. See Exxon fighting regulatory “pirates” in Gulf of Mexico. While pretending to be pro-drilling, this is what happens behind the scenes. It is costly and damaging for all of us, via higher energy costs, lower tax receipts, more dependence on the Middle East, higher welfare costs and the unemployment it causes.
ExxonMobil, and its Norwegian partner Statoil made the biggest discovery of all — a field worth a billion barrels of oil — 7,000 feet below sea level in its “Julia” field in 2007.
. . . Instead of marvel at the continuing treasures of the New World, or hail the human ingenuity that made retrieval of so much oil possible, or simply quantify how this discovery will boost U.S. energy security, Interior Department bureaucrats moved instead to snatch Exxon’s permits and shut the whole thing down.
Employing an extreme technicality, these regulators claimed that Exxon’s request in 2008 for a short suspension of activity to upgrade and make safer its drilling operation amounted to an abandonment of three of its five permits, simply because Exxon hadn’t signed a contract with another partner, Chevron, by the time the suspension was completed. …
Exxon is now fighting the permit action in a federal court in Lake Charles, La., calling it “arbitrary,” “capricious” and “an abuse of law.” It’s also a textbook case of the anti-business climate fostered by the Obama administration which should be bending over backward to help Exxon create jobs and profits.
So let’s look at what the Obama administration is trying to accomplish, and what it’s costing you as a result.
Well, it’s going to cost us jobs in the Gulf, and not just there, either. As IBD points out, drilling requires a lot more support than just people working on the rig. The rigs have to be built, and then the heavy machinery has to be manufactured — “in places like Youngstown, Ohio,” at a steel plant that makes the pipes for the rig.
So killing the project means killing those jobs, which means less tax revenue for Uncle Sam, And speaking of revenue, let’s not forget that Exxon would have to pay taxes and royalties on production, with revenue reaching into the billions. Wouldn’t that help us out with our fiscal troubles in Washington, at least in some small measure? You bet it would.
Shocking, I know. It turns out that organizations who kill innocent but unwanted human beings for a living and hide statutory rape don’t mind lying to protect their funding.
When faced with losing Federal funding, Planned Parenthood launched a full-scale, deceptive effort to mislead people into thinking that all sorts of important medical services would be lost if that happened. The deception was done in partnership with with the Obama administration and the mainstream media. The CEO of PP and various legislators and supporters claimed that Planned Parenthood did mammograms and that other vital services would be lost (apparently Walgreen’s is all out of condoms) if funding was cut. Those were lies.
Undercover phone calls released today show Planned Parenthood of Indiana clinic staffers at various locations admitting Medicaid patients have only to look around the corner to get healthcare.
Planned Parenthood and its supporters claim poor women in Indiana will lose access to vital healthcare services if they cannot go to Planned Parenthood.
But a new Live Action investigation shows the reality is quite the opposite….
. . .
In reality, according to PP’s own statistics, it sees only 1% of all Medicaid patients in the state. (PP states it sees 9,300 IN Medicaid patients, while IN has an enrollment of 1,022,700.)
Also see this Planned Parenthood overview for how, in addition to being the top destroyer of human life in the country, they systematically hide statutory rape and sex trafficking (when not teaching your kids to ignore the perspectives on human sexuality that you and your religion hold).
Global greenhouse gas emissions have risen even faster during the past decade than predicted by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other international agencies. According to alarmist groups, this proves global warming is much worse than previously feared. The increase in emissions “should shock even the most jaded negotiators” at international climate talks currently taking place in Bonn, Germany, the UK Guardian reports. But there’s only one problem with this storyline; global temperatures have not increased at all during the past decade.
The evidence is powerful, straightforward, and damning. NASA satellite instruments precisely measuring global temperatures show absolutely no warming during the past the past 10 years. This is the case for the Northern Hemisphere mid-latitudes, including the United States. This is the case for the Arctic, where the signs of human-caused global warming are supposed to be first and most powerfully felt. This is the case forglobal sea surface temperatures, which alarmists claim should be sucking up much of the predicted human-induced warming. This is the case for the planet as a whole.
If atmospheric carbon dioxide emissions are the sole or primary driver of global temperatures, then where is all the global warming? We’re talking 10 years of higher-than-expected increases in greenhouse gases, yet 10 years of absolutely no warming. That’s 10 years of nada, nunca, nein, zero, and zilch.
Also ask yourself why this will be one of the few promises Obama will keep:
Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.
And electricity prices won’t just hurt one of your bills. The impact of higher energy costs will impact nearly every element of the economy.
Have you had a lot of fun watching the price of gasoline shoot out of sight this year at the pump? That will be just the appetizer. Thanks to new regulations from the Obama administration, power companies will shut down a significant number of coal-fired plants by 2014, and without any other reliable sources of mass-produced electricity, consumers will see their bills go up as much as 60% (via Instapundit andNewsalert):
Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years.
The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation’s electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered.
The increases are expected to begin to appear in 2014, and policymakers already are scrambling to find cheap and reliable alternative power sources. If they are unsuccessful, consumers can expect further increases as more expensive forms of generation take on a greater share of the electricity load.
Elections matter, folks. A radical leftist community organizer was elected Senator and then President and this is all part of his plan: More government control of everything.
You’d think they’d be alarmed that so many companies are claiming they’ll stop providing healthcare to employees when ObamNeycare is fully implemented, but you’d be wrong. That is exactly what they want: More decisions controlled by the government. Because you can totally trust them to have your long-term best interests at heart, right?
At least that’s what Liberal-speak would have you believe.
To make matters worse, the only reason they were able to find the unarmed man to shoot him in the face was because of waterboarding. They don’t seem bothered by that ethical dilemma, nor do they seem inclined to give credit to President Bush, whose policies were what led to this.
P.S. I don’t object to the shooting, given the circumstances. I just don’t see why President Obama is running around like he was the SEAL who did the hard work. And I really don’t understand the hypocrisy of his fans.
P.S.S. Aside from his “gutsy call,” why on earth did the administration divulge that they had found information on Bin Laden’s computers? That disclosure had to be one of the most childish, bone-headed moves ever. It may have made them look good for a day, but the information would have been much more valuable if we had kept it a secret.
In other words, we’ve apparently (finally) learned enough about this group of rebels/al Qaedaterrorists/rapists–and–indiscriminant–killers/who-knows-what-else that we’ve been fighting alongside (primarily from 15,000 feet and up, of course) that the Obama administration is now ready to fight them, as well – an action which would, amazingly and dumbfoundingly, make the U.S. a participant in both sides of an Arab civil war being fought in the desert of North Africa. Just amazing.
The realization of who it is they rushed into war to support must be hitting Samantha Power, President Obama, and their band of merry humanitarian interventionists pretty hard. This is worse than waking up and finding the person you brought home last night required beer goggles about eighteen bottles thick to seem attractive. Rather, it’s akin to bringing home the already-not-so-hot girl who was hanging out alone in a dark corner of the bar, only to find out shortly after leaving with her that she’s actually a hairy-backed man man named Steve (or, in this case, something more like Abdul Hakim al Hasadi).
. . .
We bombed Qaddafi’s forces because they were killing civilians. So Qaddafi’s forces began dressing like civilians. So the rebels began killing civilians. So NATO is warning the rebels not to kill civilians, otherwise NATO will bomb the rebels. But the rebels are dressed like civilians. So NATO may end up killing civilians.
In other news, the administration continues to debate arming the rebels who are dressed like civilians. But Qaddafi’s forces are also dressed like civilians. So we may be arming Qaddafi’s forces who are killing civilians while we also bomb the rebels who are killing civilians and bombing civilians who really are civilians but look like Qaddafi’s forces who are killing civilians.
