Wow — Obama’s former pastor says “church was not their thing” — plus lots more!

Wow.  Just wow.  Am I surprised?  Not that it was said, but that this has finally come out.  I wonder how the UCC spokespeople like race-baiting Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie will try to spin this?

See Rev. Jeremiah Wright Speaks Out About Obama, Politics & More and listen to the audio yourself.  This is just the tip of the iceberg.  Now I can see why Chuck & Co. have not been playing the religion card on Romney.  They are working overtime to keep religion out of it.

Wright also made some intriguing claims about the Obama family and its purported lack of interest in attending church. Since assuming office, the president has consistently faced criticism over his infrequent church attendance. According to Wright, this is par for the course.

“Church is not their thing. It was never their thing,” Wright says of Barack and Michelle Obama. “She was not the kind of black woman whose momma made her go to church, made her go to Sunday school…so the church was not an integral part of their lives before they got married — after they got married.”

After Wright made these comments, Klein said, “But the church was an integral part of his politics…because he needed that base.” Wright agreed with this statement, at one point saying “correct.”

Queue the Marie Antoinette reference

Just wondering . . . why does Michelle Obama have a record number of attendants (60% more than Laura Bush) at the same time that America has a record number of people on welfare?

And why is she compounding this by pretending to be a regular person shopping at Target?  See Isn’t This Precious…FLOTUS Michelle Antoinette Pretends to be One of the Common Folk.

Here’s the most insulting thing: She is pretending to be incognito, what with her “plain” outfit (which probably cost over $1,000), hat and glasses.  But if this was so undercover, why was there a professional photographer standing there?  Did anyone notice the Secret Service people?  They obviously have contempt for their supporters, otherwise they would never plan such a thing.  Anyone thinking this wasn’t staged shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Of course, the Houston Chronicle ran this photo in a fluff piece this morning.

And why isn’t the media raging about this waste and hypocrisy?

Answer: The media died in 2008.

The “birthers” and the race card

I never cared about the birther issue.  I find it unproductive and annoying.  But Stan had a good post about motives. It reminded me of how quick the race industry*used the “birther” issue to paint Obama’s critics as racists.  But that means Hillary Clinton’s supporters, Michelle Obama, and the ambassador from Kenya were racists first.

group of disgruntled Hillary Clinton enthusiasts started the “Was Obama born in the United States?” question thing. It was fed by comments from people like the president’s grandmother who said he was born in Kenya and Michelle Obama who referred to Kenya as his “home country“. It wasn’t helpful when the ambassador from Kenya said that the president was born there. All of this fed the “birther” idea. Now, let me say up front that I am not a “birther”. To me it’s a moot point. I just don’t care. But what has fascinated me in this whole discussion has been the claims of motivationfrom the president’s supporters. You see, even though it was people from his Secretary of State that started the question and even though it was people like his wife, grandmother, and the Kenyan ambassador that fueled it, it appears that the only possible motivation for “birthers” is racism. That’s right. No one could suggest this stuff if they weren’t racists at heart. And without even batting an eye, the secret motivations of the heart have been easily and cleanly extracted and shown for all to view.

Anyone using the birther issue as a claim of racism against Republicans is ignorant of the origins and/or the real racist, who uses race to divide people.

Bidens make $379,000 and donate $5,360

Wow, a whole 1.3%.  How generous for a guy who wants to take money from neighbor A by force to “give” to neighbor B and claim it as a virtue on his account.  And that doesn’t even take into account how much free stuff and extravagant benefits the guy gets.  See Obama’s tax return: Income down — to $1.7 million.

I was glad to see the President finally upped his donation percentage.  He used to give just 1%.  Yes, the same guy who says we have to give more, be our brothers’ keeper (even though he isn’t his own brothers’ keeper), etc. has been really cheap with his own wallet until just recently.

He says his proposed tax increases will affect him, but he failed to take advantage of the opportunity to pay extra anyway.  All these millionaires who are asking to be taxed more can self-tax all the like.  It is completely legal.  I’ll wait here . . .

Liberals who don’t give generously should not even be listened to. Their foundational hypocrisy proves their untrustworthiness.  Obama, Biden, Kennedy, Kerry . . . it is a long list.  It is truly an upside down world when they are considered to be the generous ones for giving away other people’s money.

How about if the government tried to solve some real problems first?

So they Feds have done nothing to curb the illegal immigration problem for the last few decades and Attorney General Eric Holder hasn’t even read the law he has been criticizing, but they think they should spend tax dollars so Big Government can Monitor How Much Your Kids Weigh?

And what are they doing to prevent terrorist attacks on our soil?  They glossed over the military base murders and the mainstream media acts as if it never happened.  We got lucky with the eunuch-bomber and the Times Square bomber but that will run out soon.

(Oh, and by the politically correct definition, isn’t it “hate speech” for Michelle Obama to keep picking on kids who are fat?  Is she liable if her inflammatory rhetoric causes kids to pick on those who are overweight?)

How many other serious problems can you think of that the Federal Government should be solving but isn’t, even while branching out into more areas beyond its charter?
