If Trump is so bad, why does the Left deliberately lie about him?

One of the ways you know that Leftists – including their wholly-owned media and the “Christian” Left wolves — are malicious liars is how they reflexively misquote Donald Trump to slander him.  They know they are speaking lies but they do it anyway no matter how many times conservatives out them.  Why?  Because their followers will never know they are lies.

Example 1: Michael Bloomberg recently whipped out the top lie, though it is standard fare on the Left, especially from people like the late Rachel Held Evans (she used all of these regularly and refused to be corrected):

Americans felt so much pain when Donald Trump said they were very fine people among the Nazis and the Klan.

Fact check: FALSE.  Trump actually said this:

“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”

Trump wasn’t the least  bit vague, but the Left continues the lies.  That has been refuted so many times that it is unconscionable for them to repeat it.  More here.

Example 2: “Trump admits to sexual assault!!”  Fact check: FALSE  Yes, Trump made a crude locker-room reference that was caught on video and saved by the media until just before the elections (because “news” or something).  But the Left always leaves out the key words: “And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything . . . Grab ’em by the . . .”

Got that?  If they let you do something then it isn’t sexual assault.  It is consensual.  His comment – which was almost certainly an exaggeration (does anyone really think he just walks up and starts kissing women he just met, as he also said in the clip?) — says as much about star-struck women as it does his behaviors at the time.

Example 3: “He made fun of a disabled reporter!!” Fact check: FALSE See this — The True Story: Donald Trump Did Not Mock a Reporter’s Disability

There are more, of course, but you get the idea.  The facts are there but the Left deliberately ignores them.

And when they aren’t misquoting him, they just lie about him.  How many times have you heard him called a Fascist?   Uh, yeah, of course Trump is a fascist! All fascists cut taxes, eliminate government regulations, fight for gun rights, etc.

Anyone claiming Trump is a fascist might as well shout that they are ignorant of politics and history.

P.S. Trump is a fascist, so give him your guns.

Is the media blackout on the “Knockout Game” over?

I’ve been reading about this black-on-white mob violence on conservative sites for a long time.  The stories would sometimes get reported locally, but never nationally.  And even then they would leave out obvious relevant details.  I wondered if this would ever make national news.  Apparently it finally has: Black Mob Violence Breaching Media Barricades.

Some stories are so big, the establishment media has to report them, no matter how damaging they are to the liberal narrative. The total failure of ObamaCare is one example; the ongoing epidemic of racially targeted black mob violence is becoming another.

Until recently, the only reporter willing to touch the story has been WND’s Colin Flaherty. He documents the mayhem in his excellent book White Girl Bleed a Lot, in which he writes:

In hundreds of episodes across the country since 2010, groups of black people are roaming the streets of America, intimidating, stalking, vandalizing, stealing, shooting, stabbing, raping, and killing.

Flaherty’s book includes QR codes throughout, linking to YouTube videos of the bloodshed. Otherwise, few readers would believe him. After all, if this were really happening, it would be in the news constantly, right?

Wrong — because nothing could be more diametrically at odds with the liberal narrative of saintly blacks oppressed by demonic whites than mobs of blacks attacking defenseless whites (as well as other ethnic groups, particularly Asians) throughout the country out of sheer malice.

For the past few years only local media would touch the epidemic, even then downplaying the significance and the size of the mobs, and often censoring racial information without which the attacks would make no sense.

But the story is too big to contain, if the national media wants to retain any credibility whatsoever.

An early crack in the dam occurred in Norfolk, after Virginian-Pilot reporters Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami were beaten by a black mob numbering at least 100 when they stopped for a red light.

Typically, the police wanted nothing to do with it. Not even the victims’ own paper reported the incident until it was mentioned in an editorial two weeks later. Bloggers ran with it. By some miracle, Bill O’Reilly picked it up.

The story was botched by leaving the impression that this highly typical event was an isolated incident, but at least the national media blockade had been breached.

When you hide crimes because of the the skin color of the perpetrators, that’s racism.  The Trayvon-palooza race-baiting done by “Christian” groups like Jim “the Gospel is all about wealth redistribution” Wallis‘ Sojourners group and other false teachers helped the media fuel this racial animosity — as if the victims of the “Knockout Game” had anything to do with Trayvon’s death.

And remember, if you want your Constitutional right to defend yourself with a gun you are a racist.

Some good news: 60 Year Old Woman Blows Away Two Young Punks Playing the Knock Out game.  Hopefully that will deter others.  Remember that the Leftists think it should have been illegal for her to have been armed.

1.  NYT silent on shocking Hollywood pedophilia charges.  The evil Fox News had this story, but the NY Times did not.  (I don’t watch Fox, but I do read Hot Air).

Apparently, pedophilia is an entrenched part of Hollywood culture — but you wouldn’t know that if you only consulted The New York Times for news. Check out this Fox News account of just some of the muck that underlies Hollywood’s glamorous gilding:

If a spate of recent allegations proves true, Hollywood may have a hideous epidemic on its hands. The past two weeks have brought three separate reports of alleged child sexual abuse in the entertainment industry.

Martin Weiss, a 47-year-old Hollywood manager who represented child actors, was charged in Los Angeles on Dec. 1 with sexually abusing a former client. His accuser, who was under 12 years old during the time of the alleged abuse, reported to authorities that Weiss told him “what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry.” Weiss has pleaded not guilty.

On Nov. 21, Fernando Rivas, 59, an award-winning composer for “Sesame Street,” was arraigned on charges of coercing a child “to engage in sexually explicit conduct” in South Carolina. The Juilliard-trained composer was also charged with production and distribution of child pornography.

Registered sex offender Jason James Murphy, 35, worked as a casting agent in Hollywood for years before his past kidnapping and sexual abuse of a boy was revealed by the Los Angeles Times on Nov. 17. Murphy’s credits include placing young actors in kid-friendly fare like “Bad News Bears,” “The School of Rock,” “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” and the forthcoming “Three Stooges.”

What’s worse: Former child stars like Corey Feldman (“Lost Boys”) and Alison Arngrim (“Little House on the Prairie”) have said these three isolated, independent charges of child abuse are indicative of a much broader problem. Their quotes are chilling:

Corey Feldman [made] eye-opening remarks in August to ABC’s “Primetime Nightline” that “the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia. That’s the biggest problem for children in this industry … It’s the big secret.”

Alison Arngrim, the veteran Hollywood actress best known for her role decades ago as Nellie on “Little House on the Prairie,” has said, “This (the abuse of children) has been going on for a very long time.

“If a child actor is being sexually abused by someone on the show, is the family, agents or managers – the people who are getting money out of this – going to say, ‘OK, let’s press charges’? No, because it’s going to bring the whole show to a grinding halt, and stop all the checks,” says Arngrim. “So, the pressure is there not to say anything.”

P.S. Paging Lady Gaga … Wouldn’t this kind of child molestation qualify as bullying in a big way?

Yes, it seems like the anti-bullying stars (who only seem to oppose bullying of gays, whereas conservatives oppose all bullying) should be bold and brave and “out” the molesters.  But that might cost them something.

2. It is fair game to criticize Rick Perry and anyone else who forgets things they should know.  But does your media give equal time to Liberal gaffes? 

Said Obama while looking around the room: “We are honored to be joined by… one of the Justice of the Supreme Court Ruth.” At this moment the President made a move with his forehead and eyes saying “ah…” and then looked down at his papers and said “Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is here.”

This of course is worse than when Texas Governor Perry who was clearly referring to a specific 8-1 ruling said “eight unelected Justices,” nor is the same as when Perry said “Not Montemayor,” knowing clearly that he does not have the correct name of Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Or how about the NY Congresswoman who hadn’t heard of “Fast and Furious?”  She not only misses out on it in the news but doesn’t even notice it at work!

3. ACORN was exposed by conservative journalists.  The Mainstream (Leftist) Media would have ignored them completely – just like they are ignoring that ACORN is back in the form of the Occupy Movement.

When the radical group ACORN was shut down, Jeff Quinton at Quinton Reports reminds us, the state and local chapters of ACORN reconstituted themselves as new non-profits. And guess what they’ve been up to lately?

In more than two dozen cities across the nation Tuesday, an offshoot of the Occupy Wall Street movementtook on the housing crisis by re-occupying foreclosed homes, disrupting bank auctions and blocking evictions.
Occupy Our Homes said it’s embarking on a “national day of action” to protest the mistreatment of homeowners by big banks, who they say made billions of dollars off of the housing bubble by offering predatory loans and indulging in practices that took advantage of consumers.

4. The “Fast and Furious” debacle has been barely covered by the Mainstream Media, especially the part about its goal to to undermine legal firearm ownership.

5. While the Obama administration is aggressively exporting its pro-gay ideology to other countries (basically forcing their beliefs on others), they are silent on religious persecution.

We all know about the report of the Obama Administration saying it will check to see what countries are doing on the gay rights front to make sure gays are not being persecuted. But at the same time the Obama Administration has decided to not reauthorize the bipartisan U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.

The Commission investigates religious liberty issues around the world and informs the State Department about nations persecuting people because of religion, including Christians.

In other words, we’re going to start checking up on how countries treat gays and lesbians, but Obama wants to shut down the Commission that investigates how countries treat citizens who believe in God.

6. Do death threats qualify as bullying if they are made against Christians?  Apparently not.  See Charges Filed as Oklahoma City Pastor Paul Blair Gets Death Threats after Opposing Pro-Homosexual Ordinance.  Fortunately the legal system is stepping in here, but don’t expect to hear about this in any Liberal media outlets.

This week’s examples

1. Have you heard how racist the OWS movement is?

African Americans, who are 12.6 percent of the U.S. population, make up only 1.6 percent of Occupy Wall Street.

Why isn’t the media up in arms over the “obvious” racism in OWS? After all, that was their conclusion with the seemingly low % of blacks in the Tea Party movement (please ignore the great popularity of Herman Cain — it hurts their racist meme!).

And the OWS movement has already tried to do some “affirmative action” and they still have a rate that low.

I’m not saying the OWS is racist, just that the theological liberals are racist for playing the race card against Tea Partiers while ignoring the elephant in the room for the OWS.

2. Climategate 2.0: New E-Mails Rock The Global Warming Debate – this is as big as Climategate 1.0.  This is the same trustworthy establishment that brings you Darwinian evolution.

Three themes are emerging from the newly released emails: (1) prominent scientists central to the global warming debate are taking measures to conceal rather than disseminate underlying data and discussions; (2) these scientists view global warming as a political “cause” rather than a balanced scientific inquiry and (3) many of these scientists frankly admit to each other that much of the science is weak and dependent on deliberate manipulation of facts and data.

3. The European Media Describes the Occupy Movement as “Anti-Capitalist,” Why Doesn’t the US Media?  Free markets have reduced more poverty than any government program ever has.

4. Leftist ABA rates record number of Obama judicial appointees “not qualified” – Appointing judges is one of the most important things a President does, yet most campaigning and media coverage address things that mean little.  We saw this coming: Obama said he would appoint “empathetic” judges and McCain said he appoint them based on the ability to understand the law.  An 8th grade student could see which view was accurate and Presidential.

President Obama’s quest to transform federal courts by appointing unqualified leftist ideologues is worse than previously imagined, according to a mainstream newspaper that reports the notoriously liberal American Bar Association (ABA) has rejected a “significant number” of potential judicial nominees, most of them minorities and women.

This is hardly earth-shattering news considering Obama’s judicial appointments so far. However, the ABA rebuff sheds light into the magnitude of the president’s crusade to stockpile the federal court system, where judges get lifetime appointments, with like-minded activists. In fact, Obama has made it an official policy to “diversify” the federal bench when it comes to gender, race and even life experiences.

Better news coverage through blogging

One of things I love about blogs and my Google blog reader page is that it is like getting a custom newspaper where you can actually trust the columnists.  With normal media the bias is astounding, not just in slanting what they report but in what they don’t report at all.  They did their best to mock Christine O’Donnell over her accurate statements about what the 1st Amendment actually says, but they completely ignored the countless people on the Left who were so eager to criticize Sarah Palin that they didn’t realize that here 1773 reference was tied to the date of the Boston Tea Party instead of the Declaration of Independence.

But it isn’t just that the mainstream media is wildly and notoriously biased, but that they are so error-filled as well.

When I was the controller of the Portable Division at Compaq there was an article in the Houston Chronicle about one of our new products.  There were so many errors – none significant, but it just showed how sloppy the journalism was.  An article about a ballet performance of the girls was equally error filled.  There have been many examples of this.

And with the Liberal media being 90+% wildly pro-abortion and 18-1 negative on Sarah Palin, for example, how could you hope to make informed decisions on controversial topic if you only consumed their views?

Sloppiness + rampant bias = massive train wreck.

Yet with blogging you can get perspectives and news from across the spectrum.  You can figure out over time who is reliable and who corrects any errors they make.  It results in you being much, much better informed and confident in what you are reading.

But you already knew that, right?  You’re a blog reader!

Guest post: A Catholic says, “Thank God for the Protestants and Evangelicals.”

While I always contend that the Reformation happened for good reasons and they are still valid, I thoroughly enjoy LCB’s diplomatic and well-thought out comments. Therefore, I’m publishing this guest post of his. Dive in!

It’s been a rough few weeks to be Catholic. Really rough. “I wonder what’s going on with the Eastern Orthodox these days” type of rough. For many devout American Catholics (and I don’t mean the Nancy Pelosi type of devout) it’s been brutal. Worse than the “Long Lent” of 2002 (when the Boston Globe set off the scandal here in the States, as the period is often called in Catholic-shorthand). In this Easter season, for the first time in my life, I am thanking God for the Protestants and Evangelicals in general. Not just particular Protestants and Evangelicals (who I have been thankful for in the past), but the entire groups. I know a number of other Catholics who are feeling the same.

Central to the agony of the last few weeks has been a series of unrelenting and baseless attacks upon Pope Ratzinger. The media, unable to connect the man to wrongdoing, has instead adopted a policy of radical slander, ad hominem attacks, innuendo, and even outright lies. Run a false headline on the front page one day, print a small retraction of the entire story the next day on page Z-99, in 6 point font. Run a quote from a plantiff’s lawyer as if it were unbiased, only mention 30 paragraphs later (or not at all) that the man has made millions on sexual abuse lawsuits, and is currently trying to permit the Vatican to be sued in US court. I could go on. And on. And on.

The worst part has not been the Catholic Church’s liberal branch (AKA “The 5th Column”) who have gleefully joined in on the assaults. We’ve been living with them being the main quoted Catholic “balance” in AP and NYTs articles for two generations now. The worst part is that the media has been so brazen in attacking Catholicism that Catholics who are trying to defend against the attacks can’t manage to get any coverage at all. Bishops and Cardinals speak out to correct mistakes, no coverage. Bill Donahue screams something into a microphone (seriously, I like him, but he needs to learn about the “inside voice” rule), no coverage. Catholic intellectuals release detailed counter-points, no coverage or publication.

The pall of silence and non-coverage of authentic Catholic responses to the attacks has is so bad that the Catholic League has resorted to taking out a full page ad in the NYTs in order to present its rebuttal to the NYTs own coverage. Let that sink in for a minute. The only way Catholics can now reply to the NYTs hatchet jobs is by spending $50,000+ for a full page ad.

But there are voices that the MSM will listen to, and will still publish, and is even writing articles about. These voices are the Protestants and Evangelicals who are speaking out in defense of truth, who recognize that this assault is about much more than abuse that occured in Wisconsin in the 1950s. It’s about an attempt to silence a voice that speaks with moral authority. In the midst of this constant media assault the Protestants and Evangelicals are arriving on the field of battle (since, in the end, it remains we Christians vs. the World and its prince) even as our own 5th column is turning on us like never before. And the Protestants and Evangelicals are saying (quite loudly at times) “It is wrong to smear the good name of a good man who has a decades long reputation of trying to fight this problem. Smearing people with lies is wrong, and what you in the press are doing is wrong.”

It hasn’t just been in the media, either, where my fellow brethren in Christ have shown their dedication to Truth above all else. It’s been in a multitude of personal interactions and local sermons where good men and women have spoken out against what they see to be wrong. Where my voice is ignorned (“Oh you’re just a Catholic of course you’ll say that”) the voice of my brethren has been heard and they have given a mighty witness to Christ in the process.

Now UN Judges are calling for war crimes charges to be brought against Pope Ratzinger. Dawkins and Hitchens are funding a legal team to try and have a warrant issued against Pope Ratzinger before his visit to Britain… and they may likely find a sympathetic judge who will do just that. The charges? “Crimes against humanity” and a great many Anglicans are rising up in defense of the Pope (that’s a sentence one doesn’t type every day) on this matter.

So, for the first time in my life, I am saying “Thank God for the Protestants and Evangelicals.” Not just particular individuals, but for the groups entirely. The witness of standing up for what is right is a mighty witness for Christ– especially in this Easter season. It’s been a long road since October 1517. The attacks and persecutions against the whole of Christianity have consistantly brought the brethren closer together in Roman Times, under the Ottomans, during the French Revolution, in the Soviet Union, and in modern China. In times and places of great trial Christians with extreme doctrinal divides have united in defending Truth and presenting the Gospel of Christ and His saving love to the world in ways that have radically changed history.

It is my sincere prayer that, just as Christ’s suffering on His Most Holy Cross brought about mankind’s unity with one another (in the Body of Christ, the Church) and with God the Father in and through the power of the Holy Spirit, that so too may our current suffering bring about greater unity among we separated brethren and bring about the conversion and salvation of many souls throughout the world. Especially those that seek to attack Christ and the Church.

 . . . is Hillbuzz, written by a bunch of gay guys in Chicago.  You might be thinking my blog has been hijacked, but never fear.   Do I disagree with them on some matters about human sexuality and God?  Well, duh.  But we have a lot in common and it is good to read different perspectives, and these guys have a lot of important things to say.  And they are funny and much more charitable to Christianity than you’d expect.  I’d trust them way more than theological Liberals whose religion is just Lefty politics in disguise.

Oh, and they are being viciously attacked and threatened by extremists on the Left because they dare to criticize President Obama.  Please pray for their safety, as I do.

Consider this post and a few excerpts below.  Very insightful.

Question: Who will be left to help Haiti once all the Liberals get back to thinking about Oscar season?  

We’re just going to answer this question right now:  Christians.

Christians will be in Haiti helping rebuild that country, working in deplorable conditions, and, frankly, giving every last bit of themselves to rebuild Port-au-Prince and relieve as much suffering as possible.

George Clooney will take his beard back to Italy, or wherever he goes with it (or her, depending on how you want to define that), on his private jet, probably snacking on roast peacock and baby seal, all the while lambasting the rest of the masses for their carbon footprints and general thoughtlessness.

Liberals don’t build things.  They don’t get their hands dirty.  They just attack people, call them RAAACISTS! when they don’t agree with the Liberal talking points, and then get back into their limousines to ride twelve feet to the red carpet.

More and more we think about the difference between the way we are personally treated by the Left and the Right.  To be blunt, neither extreme likes gays all that much.  Liberals are smart enough to put on a good face about it in public, but behind closed doors they make their jokes, too, and can be far crueler than you could ever imagine.  The Right’s foolish because — and we honestly believe this — conservatives are less prejudiced, reactionary, and hateful than Liberals…but they just don’t know how to do good PR.  Maybe it’s because conservatives are largely quiet, on the whole, and tend to mind their own business…so the random zealots who condemn people like us to fire and brimstone and eternal suffering (what, like having to watch MSNBC?) get more airplay.

As we’ve said before, about the worst thing a Republican ever did to us was tell us they were going to pray for us “to get better”, so we would suddenly one day wake up and be all about Ann Hathaway, and not focused on how last-season her Oscar dress is.

. . .

Remind us why Liberals are so much better than Republicans again, for gays, or for anything else.  While you’re at it, please explain why Christians are so persecuted by the media, and so maligned day in and day out…and yet these people jump into the fray when people need help.

While Liberals wait in the limousine for the best lighting to step out, for their photo op, to tell the cameras how sad they are about things like Haiti.

And how it’s all Bush’s fault.

Wow, gotta love those guys.  Uh, in a totally manly, agape way, of course. Seriously, I’m glad they’ve had some positive interactions with authentic Christians.  I know the media and the Left are relentless with their pathetic-but-effective “homophobe” pejoratives, but the Christians I know (and I know a couple) interact with GLBT folks in the same way described above.

Why do so many believe in fake conspiracies yet ignore the real global warming fraud?

Lisa Simpson: According to Junior Skeptic magazine the chances are 175 million to one of another form of life actually coming into contact with ours.

Homer: So?

Lisa: It’s just that the people who claim they’ve seen aliens are always pathetic low-lifes with boring jobs . . . oh, and you, Dad . . . heh heh.

An Apologetics.com Podcast on logic mentioned how over 70% of people polled believe in some sort of JFK conspiracy, over 30% believe that 9/11 was an inside job and a large amount believe the government is covering up alien activity.

So why don’t people get excited over the very real conspiracy behind the man-made global warming fraud?  The media continues to ignore it.  The Houston Chronicle had an article buried that noted the controversy but focused on the “experts” who still claim that warming is real — you know, the folks whose livelihoods depend on perpetuating the myth.  The Chronicle didn’t bother to list the evidence. Another article didn’t even mention the controversy.

If you only get your news from the mainstream media you are being fooled daily.

These e-mails aren’t a tempest in a teapot. They are evidence of pervasive fraud by a massively influential institution that has dominated news coverage of global warming.

CRU was regularly cited as the leading authority on “global climate analysis” — including by the very news outlets that are burying the current scandal, such as The New York Times and The Washington Post. The CRU alone received more than $23 million in taxpayer funds for its work on global warming.

Most disturbingly, the CRU-affiliated “scientists” were caught red-handed conspiring to kill the careers and reputations of scientists who dissented from the religion of global warming. Indignant that scientific journals were publishing papers skeptical of global warming, the cult members plotted to get editors ousted and the publications discredited.

This sabotage of global warming dissenters may be more galling than their manipulation of the data. Until now, the global warming cult’s sole argument has been to demand that everyone shut up in response to the “scientific consensus” that human activity was causing global warming.

I sometimes use the line in the title with my team at work and when giving leadership and management presentations.  It is a corollary to the one bad argument can undermine ten good arguments truism.  Charity about the motives of others is usually a win-win proposition, and you don’t want to lose credibility by making mistakes.  When performing audits or investigations we don’t want to make false accusations.  Our initial assessments are almost always right, but if you are wrong people will remember it for a long time and not take your views as seriously as you’d like. 

The reactions to the Ft. Hood shootings make an interesting study.  Many were so quick to avoid assuming it wasn’t Islamic terrorism that they swung the pendulum too far the other way and insisted that it wasn’t.  They had no evidence for that, and it appears that they were wrong.  They had no qualms about saying it was probably post-traumatic stress disorder, even though the guy had never experienced the original stress that this malady requires.  If it is good not to speculate, then why speculate about potentially non-Islamic related causes?

Side note:  Looks like the Army dropped the ball on this one.  I wonder how much political correctness influenced it?  This isn’t religious discrimination, it is common sense.  Regardless of your type of organization, you should not employ members of ideological groups bent on your destruction.  If churches would have booted false teachers 100 years ago we wouldn’t have the anti-Christian nonsense taught in countless churches today.

Side note 2: Hopefully many peaceful Muslims and Muslim countries around the world will denounce these actions.  The Koran does indeed teach to harm enemies of Islam, but I am grateful for disobedient Muslims who don’t follow that teaching.  If they have created a new religion that ignores those teachings, good for them.  They should call out their “false teachers” the same way that I and others freely point out the errors of fake Christians.  You do your movement no good to have false unity with those who believe the opposite of what you do.

Oh, and there is a is just one major problem with the the peaceful Islam message: You can never be completely sure if those denouncements are authentic because Muslims are allowed to lie to advance their faith.  So CAIR’s repudiation of the actions might be advancing a distorted (i.e., better) view of Islam. Or they might be advancing the real Islam and just using their free ticket to lie.
