A few questions: Why didn’t they expend this energy researching the Community Organizer they elected President — especially his known ties to domestic terrorists? Maybe we wouldn’t such a moral and economic failure leading the country.
Would they marshal their resources in the same way to pour through the emails of Liberal politicians — say, hypothetically, Anthony Weiner? Are they mad at Weiner because he got caught, or because he’s a super-creep who has no marketable skills outside of being a Congressman? (Meditate on that: This guy governs you but isn’t fit for any other employment.)
Do they realize how much power they give Palin by doing this? (Oops! I’ve said too much!)
What is most interesting about anti-Palin fanatics is how uninteresting they are. Insanity is interesting; stupidity is not. And never have such dull people gone so hopelessly mad.
. . .
The U.S. auto industry is now in receivership because of union control. It’s obviously not because American workers cannot make cars — Toyota, Nissan, Honda, KIA and many other foreign automakers have U.S. plants. But those plants are all located in “right-to-work” states, where unions can’t force workers to join.
Join a labor union and you’re paying dues to those who will eventually put you out of a job.
The only industry where the anti-competitive effect of unionism seems to have no such job-killing effect is . . . government.
Here’s a must read update on the controversial Zogby poll that demonstrated the overwhelming bias and influence of the mainstream media.
The survey has been validated by a second survey, again demonstrating that people who were better informed voted for McCain, watched Fox over the more liberal outlets, etc. Of course that doesn’t prove that Fox informed them better, as perhaps better informed people watch Fox.
But it demonstrated that Obama viewers were more ignorant in several key ways, and it was clearly tied to what the mainstream media reported:
Ignorance of basic facts such as which party currently controls Congress
Believing lies about Republicans
Unaware of the truth about Obama / Biden
Can you imagine what the election results would have been if the candidates had consistently been introduced this way?
Joe Biden, who dropped out of the 1988 Presidential campaign because he was caught plagiarizing . . .
Barack Obama, who has less experience than Governor Sarah Palin . . .
John McCain, who is well known for real reform and has a record of working with Democrats . . .
Sarah Palin, the most popular Governor in America . . .
Governor Sarah Palin, who has accomplished real reform and successfully fought corruption in her own party . . .
Governor Sarah Palin, who knows more about energy issues than all the other candidates . . .
Governor Sarah Palin, who has more executive experience than Barack Obama . . .
Governor Sarah Palin, who successfully governs a larger and more complicated state than Bill Clinton did . . .
Barack Obama, who was the lone vote against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois . . .
Now where did I put my Flintstones Chewable Prozac?
Seriously, my real joy is in the Lord and not in shifting temporal things.

But there was some good news: The Democrats didn’t get their 60 seats in the Senate. That would have been a disaster.
Also, the pro-traditional marriage initiatives passed in California and Florida. We need an Amendment for the U.S. Constitution, though. Does anyone think that a few new liberal judges on the Supreme Court won’t invent a “right” to oxymoronic gay marriage? State judges have done so.
And the Supreme Court once imagined that the Constitution contained the unlimited right to crush and dismember the unborn, and look where we are now: Almost 50 million dead. If they can create that fiction, they can make up anything. Liberal judges are an imaginative bunch.

More good news: Number of riots instigated by McCain supporters = zero.

Obama back pedals in his first two minutes, and is already angling for a 2nd term!
The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term… There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won’t agree with every decision or policy I make as president. And we know the government can’t solve every problem.
Uh, wait a minute, didn’t you promise the opposite of that the last two years? Everyone who is surprised, raise your hand. That’s what I thought.
Followers of Christ, regardless of who they advocated and voted for, should now pray wholeheartedly for our new president and his administration, as Scripture instructs us in First Timothy 2:1-4: I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

It isn’t too early for 2012, is it? Brooke shared this. I’m good with it.
It is only about race to the liberals! The endless chatter from them about racism is sickening. The journalists who perpetuated the “Obama can only lose because of racism” should find a new line of work.
People voting for McCain are doing so based on issues, facts and logic, not skin color. Here’s how we can know this: When Hillary was running we heard all sorts of things about the glass ceiling and misogyny. The conventional wisdom that conservatives are anti-women got annihilated when Palin was selected. Did anyone notice – with or without the 18-to-1 media bias from the “Big 3” – that conservatives did cartwheels over her, donated big $$, bought yard signs, etc.?
It wasn’t that conservatives were anti-women, they were just pro-conservative ideas. We appreciated her ideas, not her chromosomes. Oh, and the fact that she has more experience than Obama.
If McCain would have picked a conservative black person we would have been just as excited.
So enough with the racism on the part of the liberals! We have made major strides in this country and they and Obama are just taking us backwards.
—
The media bias on the “bankrupt the coal companies” is just the poison icing on the cake for them. That shows once again that Obama deceived people when he claimed to be pro-coal, and the media did their best to hide it.
Perhaps the most sickening lie of the Obama campaign is to take the most pro-abortion candidate ever and try to spin him as being pro-life. Worse yet, they abused Matthew 25 to do so! That passages talks about helping the “least of these,” while Obama wants to take away any restrictions to crush and dismember the least of these.
When Obama’s lies, mistakes, omissions, 15-plus flip-flops and character-damning choice of associates and mentors (yes, he did say Wright had been a mentor, before he said he wasn’t), and Joe Biden’s stupid mistakes, gaffes, false-lunchbucket-Joe mantle, drunken embarrassments and repeat stupidity of multiple plagiarisms get as much media and public-citizen attention as anything Sarah Palin or John McCain has said or done wrong, then maybe, just maybe, you can count us out of McCain’s and Palin’s camp.
Either go vote or don’t complain the next four years. If you are a Christian, you should definitely vote.
Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.
Vote McCain / Palin. It is a good thing to do. Obama’s policies are awful across the board — wildly pro-abortion, bad for the economy, anti-free speech, bad for defense, bad energy policies, and on and on. Have you noticed that our enemies are in favor of Obama? Hmmmmmmm . . .
Something to offend everyone: Watch this video of Obama bumbling over his support of Louis Farrakhan.
Then again, Michelle and Barack have some pretty persuasive points in the video below: Be ashamed of your country. You have a hole in your soul. You are ignorant if you don’t vote for him. Your prejudices make you “feel justified in your ignorance. That’s America.”
Uh, not my America!
Reminder: Pro-Obama = anti-black. Even if your vote is all about race, you are much better off with McCain.
If you are on the fence, ask yourself if you think you’ve been well informed by our media on the candidates. Consider the 18 to 1 bias against Palin by CBS, NBC and ABC. That should tip you to McCain / Palin.
Here’s a voters guide. These are all huge issues. Click for a larger image. (HT: Talk Wisdom)
I am sickened by the over the top bias against Sarah Palin. I mean, we expect the media to be biased – even very biased – but for the “big 3” to be showing 18 negative stories to 1 positive story on her is just unfathomable.
Why have so many Americans turned against Palin, who made such a strong impression on the public when John McCain introduced her as his running mate at the Republican convention in September? Most likely, it’s because the few good reports they’ve heard about the Alaska governor have been overwhelmed by a blizzard of bad reports. ABC, NBC and CBS news shows are covering Palin intensively, and they are running 18 negative stories for every positive one.
Network coverage of Palin has moved beyond criticism to outright ridicule. Strikingly, all three networks have repeatedly aired clips of Palin being parodied by a comedy show, NBC’s Saturday Night Live, leading to concerns that many Americans are confusing the real Palin with SNL’s figure of fun. When have comic impressions of a political figure ever qualified as hard news?
When is the last time you heard a story about the “glass ceiling” that was endlessly reported when Hillary was running? I guess that isn’t a big deal if the allegedly anti-women conservatives select one. Oh, wait a minute, that should be an even bigger news item!
They distort and replay alleged Palin gaffes repeatedly, but give Biden a pass and ignore Obama’s stammering whenever he doesn’t have a teleprompter.
Friendly reminder: Whatever you say about Palins’ alleged lack of experience goes double for Obama. At least double.
Anyone who complains about Palin’s lack of experience but not Obama’s has a serious problem with rational thought and/or intellectual integrity.
Welcome to all the guests from ER’s blog. Please read all you can. Glad you wandered over to my “cult of one,” as he likes to call it. Seems kinda petty and childish if you ask me, but I’m glad that he realizes his theology is radically different from mine (you know, mine being the Bible-believing kind and his being the make-up-your-own-Jesus kind). That’s progress!
And while I know many people share my view that the original writings of the Bible were the inspired words of God, that they have been accurately transmitted to us and that faith in the real Jesus is the only way to salvation, I would still believe it even if no one else did. I’m not worried about being popular with the world.
Oh, and be sure to read the update on We told you so. I really should stop reading posts that link to mine. Not a good use of time. All the little EONs (Enemies Of Neil) are such an obsessive lot. Kinda creepy, but always amusing with their disdain for logic.
But I am encouraged that the EONs keep reading. Who knows, maybe someday they’ll see the light. So please keep the links coming, but don’t be offended if I don’t read your posts.
Spiked! (Stories the press is sitting on until after the election) – A partial list. When Sean Hannity said that 2008 was the year the media died, I originally thought it was hyperbole. I’m encouraged that in 2004 Bush still won, despite all the lies and the bias against him. Hopefully McCain will pull it out as well.
They spike stories that would hurt Obama and ignore the ones that would be good for McCain / Palin – such as the record crowds she draws and the reaction to her. And how about the fact that the supposedly anti-women conservatives are going nuts over Palin, and that she’d be the first female VP? This is big news, people, and it is virtually ignored. Why the 18-to-1 negative coverage on Palin? As much as I want to see this election season end, I wish she had more time to campaign.
Aside from the things they don’t cover, they repeat phrases like this without analysis:
Obama says his plan to tax Americans making more than $250,000 would cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans.
Of course, since nearly 50% of people pay no income taxes at all, how can he cut them? Increasing welfare is not a tax cut. It is . . . increasing welfare!
This has been one of my most popular pieces picked up in search engines, so I thought I’d refresh it.
Have you voted? I voted yesterday, for McCain / Palin. This election matters a lot. Yes, God is in control, and He can make good come out of bad, but we should never avoid doing all the good that we can. And voting for McCain is a far superior moral position than voting for Obama.
It is not over! If just 6-8% of the people claiming to support Obama are in the category of “I’m not racist, but I don’t like to be called racist” (i.e., the “Bradley effect”), then McCain can win. And that assumes no ground is made up otherwise and that the young people actually turn out to vote for Obama.
P.S. The voting was crowded, so the volunteers asked me to tell all the Obama supporters that their voting day was getting moved to Nov. 11. Just kidding! Probably!
McCain is significantly better than Obama in every key area:
Pro-life – McCain has a track record of supporting good judges, while Obama is one of the the most extreme pro-abortion advocates I’ve heard of (and that is not an exaggeration – just keep reading). Consider his bizarre standards for judges: Instead of picking people who can interpret the law honestly, he wants this: “We need somebody who’s got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.”
McCain has much better fiscal policies. Obama wants to take your money to give to his pet projects, but donates a pittance himself. Giving other people’s money at the point of a gun is not charity. “Spreading the wealth around” is socialism, and it doesn’t work.
We’ll be far, far safer with McCain. Obama is relatively clueless about foreign affairs, would have us surrender in Iraq and set the Middle East progress back 50 years, and is so naive as to think we could or should eliminate nuclear weapons.
His energy policies will keep the cost of fuel up for decades. McCain knows we need to drill now and get nuclear plants started asap. This will provide jobs, reduce greenhouse emissions and reduce energy costs for us all.
Obama is anti-free speech. Watch how they try to annihilate anyone who dares to even question him, such as Joe the Plumber. He and the Democrats will want to impose the deceptively named Fairness Doctrine, so they can try to silence conservative radio while leaving the grossly biased mainstream media untouched.
“McCain pays his female staffers more, on the average, than his male staffers; Obama, however, pays women $0.83 for every dollar earned by men.”
Obama is not about change at all. He is about the same old liberal politics. McCain is the poster boy for real change – whether you agree with the change or not – and for reaching across the aisle.
Obama lies when saying he’ll reduce taxes for 95% of the people. Nearly half don’t pay taxes, so it is impossible to lower theirs. He is just talking about more welfare.
He will be pro-gay marriage. Just wait.
Barack Obama, hero and “savior” of the left, isn’t just pro-abortion, he’s pro-partial birth abortion. 80% of the population disagrees with this stance, so be sure to tell others. Just Google “obama partial birth abortion letter” or something similar if you want more sources. He is against informed consent and parental notification. In his world, your junior high daughter needs your permission to take an aspirin but not to have an abortion.
He reveals his deceptiveness and/or ignorance with his latest ads trying to say that McCain will make abortion illegal. But overturning Roe doesn’t make abortion illegal. It returns the power to the states – to the people – and lets them decide. California, Massachusetts, NY, etc. can keep killing the unborn all they like.
He also defended the rights of hospitals in Illinois to let children die outside the womb by repeatedly opposing the Born Alive Infant Protection Act against infanticide and he is against parental notification laws.
He lies over and over on his views. He is as radically pro-abortion as one can be. Read this thorough analysisby Randy Alcorn to see what I mean.
In his July 17, 2007 speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund he said,
“We know that a woman’s right to make a decision about how many children she wants to have and when— without government interference—is one of the most fundamental freedoms we have in this country. . . . I have worked on this issue for decades now.I put Roe at the center of my lesson plan on reproductive freedom when I taught constitutional law. . . So, you know where I stand. . . The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.That’s the first thing that I’d do.”
If you don’t know about the Freedom of Choice Act, it was written by the most radical proabortion activists because they saw informed consent and parental consent laws being passed at the state level. They wanted something powerful that would dismantle anything that could serve to reduce abortions through requiring that people be told the truth before an abortion or before their sixteen year old, who can’t be given an aspirin without their permission, can have an abortion.
Here’s a piece on the audacity of being an abortion survivor. Remember, Obama doesn’t just see the right of unrestricted abortions in the Constitution, he sees the right to a corpse. If the abortion fails, then that shouldn’t be a barrier to a dead human.
to forget his close association with radical abortion groups like NARAL and PP!
to endorse liberal activist Supreme Court Judges that support abortion in the 9th month!
to embrace a culture of death!
Listen to his own words, plus his silly comment about the question of when life begins being above his pay grade:
He couldn’t be more clear about his plans:
See The Infanticide Shibboleth for more. Simply put, Obama is super-duper pro-abortion, and pro-infanticide as well.
He doesn’t even hide his hostility towards preborn human beings. Consider this quote (emphasis added):
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”
News flash: Sex has consequences – emotional, physical and spiritual. Destroying – and I do mean destroying – the evidence doesn’t take the consequences away.
Despite being portrayed as a moderate, he is also against traditional marriage, including the Defense of Marriage Act.
He has bad theology, thinking that other religions will get you to Heaven (of course, our current President is guilty of saying this nonsense as well).
More hypocrisy: He wants to take lots of your money for his pet liberal causes, but donates a pittance himself. Once again, folks, charity is when you give your own money, not when you force others at gunpoint to support your causes.
I can’t believe he threw his grandmother under the bus. If anyone uttered “typical black person,” their political career would be over. Yet he gets a pass for saying, “typical white person.”
Updates: Click here for a long list of reasons why he would make a bad President.
Tragic persecution of Christians continues in India by Hindus (aren’t they supposed to be peaceful?). They are not letting much news out so updates are spotty.
Real Christians should pray for them and continue to support organizatons such as Voice of the Martyrs.
Pluralistic Christians (those who teach that all paths lead to God, which is the opposite of what the Bible teaches) should send reverse missionaries to these countries. After all, if their views are true then the loving thing would be to tell everyone to avoid hardship and just worship the local god(s), right?
The best health care, the best economy, the best social justice system means nothing to the millions of Americans that never made it out of the womb or never will.
So Obama wants to give $4,000 per year to college students. Guess how much college tuition will increase when he does that? I’d bet on $4,000 per year. Colleges will be fatter and less efficient, we’ll pay higher taxes and/or the debt will increase, and kids will have the same costs and debt. Write it down.
I taught Junior Achievement classes for various grades for 12 years. I was always impressed at how quickly Junior High kids could not only pick up on concepts like supply and demand, but even the elasticity of supply and demand (i.e., demand for needs such as insulin will not be as influenced by price as wants like entertainment).
Too bad Obama doesn’t even get the basic part right. Just spreadin’ the wealth around, right Comrade?
—
Sarah Palin, the real deal. Regardless of the outcome of the election, I love how she has put a face on families with special needs children and why it is better to let them live than to destroy them in the womb.
—
“As the media fumes over nonexistent hate at Palin speeches, it ignores leftists who go berserk on city streets. Will the media run with a story of [a white male] Obama supporter who went berserk at the sight of McCain signs and repeatedly struck a woman volunteer on the head with a stick?”
—
More media bias: Even Dan Rather admits the media would have jumped all over Palin if she had said what Biden did about a crisis being generated if her running mate were to be elected.
Also, have you noticed how Biden hasn’t had press conferences for a long time? Think they’re hiding him? Why no outrage from the press over that?
