No, this is not a commercial: How to save on home & auto insurance

I really don’t like shopping for insurance, but after my current vendor raised my homeowner’s insurance by $1,200 I figured it was time.  The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Motto: “As boring as it sounds!”) has various affinity programs so I checked them out and found Liberty Mutual.  I’m really glad I did.

I saved $540 from what I was paying for home & auto and $1,660 from what I was about to be paying, with lower deductibles.  I also got much simpler billing and “first accident free forgiveness” as well.

If you are in the market, call Rizwan Jaffer at Liberty at 877-750-3033.  He was very helpful.  They have other discounts besides the AICPA one that I used.  Note: It won’t benefit me in any way.  I just like to see people save money and I like to reward good businesses and employees.

One friend said he has been very happy with Liberty, especially when he had a claim after hurricane Ike.  And another friend just switched to Liberty and saved a lot.

Massive vandalism and threats from unions. How much attention from the mainstream media?

The Leftist media pretends to care about tolerance, civility and non-violence but turns a blind eye to the thuggery of unions.  See In Spite of Vandalism & Shooting, Union Wants Replacement Workers’ Addresses for just one example.  Then ask yourself how much you hear about these things in the mainstream media.

In this case, however, with reports of vandalism and more than 100 flattened tires, the employer is raising concerns about turning those names and addresses over to the union.

. . .

“There is a vast amount of evidence of replacement workers being subjected to property damage, assault, intrusions into their homes and personal property, damage to their tires, projectiles around their property,” Radelet said, noting there is tangible evidence of the incidents.

“This past weekend, bullets were shot into the residence of a replacement worker … and residue poured onto his truck, damaging the truck,” he continued.

Top 20 Pro-Socialism Sound Bites of Obama, Advisors and Allies — Must viewing!

Health insurers are dropping coverage of children – What?!  You mean that government regulations cause people and businesses to change behaviors?  That’s never happened before.

You know those mandates that force insurance companies to cover children of adults until they are 26 years old? And the ones that forbid rejecting children who have pre-existing conditions? Yeah that costs insurance companies money. Can you believe that? Health care costs money! It costs more money to cover people for mandated coverages! Who could have foreseen that? Not Obama and his merry band of tenured Ivy League hermits, who have never held private sector jobs in their entire lives . . . Yeah, insurance companies don’t like being forced to add coverages, (= risk of having to pay claims), while keeping premiums the same.

Benny Hinn Denies Affair Despite Pics – I hope this ends his ministry and Paula White’s as well, but it probably won’t.  What frauds.  Hey, btw, he’s short a couple million dollars, so be sure to send some his way.

“Hey BarackObama, our relationship isn’t working out. Its not me, its you” -America’s Youth

Can you imagine if people had stood up to the Left like Andrew Breitbart all this time? – He does it right.  Watch the video and how he merely asks the Astroturf protestors to explain their signs.  They all scatter!  These “protestors” are being paid by unions.

What kinds of experiences do women have after an abortion? – This is sad.  Post abortion trauma is real, and Planned Parenthood and the rest of the pro-aborts won’t tell you about it.  Apparently it is bad for their business to tell you about how their services will destroy your child and you.  But there is help: Go find a Crisis Pregnancy Center like Care Net!

Obama Revises ‘Declaration of Independence’ Omits ‘Creator’ – but he’s totally a passionate Christian!

Free advice for Communists, Socialists and general anti-business types

I came across a pro-Communism blog when the owner commented here.  He basically encourages people to do all manner of evil to fight: evil.  How consistent.

My advice to people like him: Hey, if you and your comrades are so smart, why not form your own corporations and run them by your definition of good ethics.  Then you’ll have such a swell place to work that you can hire away the best and brightest from your evil competitors, right?  You can put them out of business and do it legally!  You don’t even have to resort to violence.  (Disappointed?)

If you think that the evil insurance companies charge too much, then pool your resources and start your own insurance company.  Beat them at their own game!  You’ll either drive them out of business or force them to reduce prices and increase benefits to compete with you.  Not only are you more righteous than your competition but you are smarter as well, right?  You can’t lose!

You know you have the skills to know your markets, follow all the tax, financial reporting, environmental, labor and other laws, keep your employees safe, make payroll, create and run efficient business processes, and so much more.  And you can do all those things better than your enemies.  Beating them will be so easy.

Or do you know how to do any of that?  Would that be too much work?  Isn’t it easier to plot how to take down “the man” and then release some endorphins?

And what is your plan once you take down the evil corporations and trash everyone’s retirement accounts?  Who will be left to pay taxes to support all your dreams?

I know a little bit about business and how jobs are formed, and it is tragic that Obama’s cabinet has, by far, the least business experience of any administration. I know what sends jobs overseas. They have no idea what creates real, lasting jobs — the ones that ultimately fund the government.

As I’ve said before, capitalism has its rough edges but it beats out every other “-ism” in a serious way.  Its critics never seem to realize that their plans bring the “killing the goose that laid the golden eggs” story to life.

Innovative health care reforms shut down by the government

As I’ve said before, if you think you have a plan that optimizes the common welfare by modifying insurance legislation, then put it up for honest debate. Just don’t call it charity or invoke the name of Jesus in doing so, and don’t make it a false dichotomy of supporting Obama vs. being a greedy bastard.

And keep in mind that there are many ways we could improve health care in this country without handing it over to the government, paying for abortions and more.

Here’s an example. As outlined at Right Klik: Health Care Pain? Government IS The Problem.  Go read it all.

Innovative people can always find a solution. The government can always find a way to interfere. Here’s a perfect example from the New York Post:

The state is trying to shut down a New York City doctor’s ambitious plan to treat uninsured patients for around $1,000 a year.

Dr. John Muney offers his patients everything from mammograms to mole removal at his AMG Medical Group clinics, which operate in all five boroughs.

“I’m trying to help uninsured people here,” he said.

His patients agree to pay $79 a month for a year in return for unlimited office visits with a $10 co-pay.

Great idea! The patients were happy, the doctor was happy, everybody was happy, but…

[His] plan landed him in the crosshairs of the state Insurance Department, which ordered him to drop his fixed-rate plan – which it claims is equivalent to an insurance policy.
