Boomerang.

So the Democrats are going to run with the “Akin’s gaffe applies to all Republicans even though almost 100% have denounced it” theme at their convention and they are going to trot out Bill Clinton to speak there and in swing states?  Please feel free to remind people of the following:

  • A President who abused his power to have sex with an intern doesn’t make the best pro-women role model — especially when he was in the process of completely destroying her before he found out about the dress.
  • Just because he was President in the 90’s doesn’t mean he gets credit for everything good that happened then.  Remember that two of his better moves — welfare reform and NAFTA — were more Conservative than Liberal and that the Republican Congress stopped him from doing a lot damage with healthcare reform and more.  He should send New Gingrich a thank-you note every year.  Oh, and there was that little thing called the PC Revolution / Internet Bubble that did marvelous things for the economy in general and tax revenues in particular.  Clinton got the bubble and Bush got the damage when it burst.  But I don’t recall Bush blaming Clinton.
  • If Democrats really care about rape, then they should whale on people like Whoopi  Goldberg who said basically the same thing as Akin, and they should really pounce on people like accused rapist Bill Clinton.
  • Clinton was (is?) a serial adulterer.  Tell me again how that is pro-women?
  • Even Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill was on record saying that, “I don’t want my daughter near him.
  • Democrats love abortion so much that they will ignore all the horrible things Clinton means for women as long as he lets them kill their unborn children.
  • If Obama is so pro-“equal pay,” why are women underpaid in his White House?
  • If the Democrats are so pro-women, why don’t they oppose gender-selection abortions, nearly all of which crush and dismember females for the sole reason that they are unwanted for being female?  It is the ultimate misogyny, fully supported by the Left.
  • Remind them of Al Franken’s jokes about raping reporter Leslie Stahl.
  • Remind them that unemployment has been worse for women and blacks under the Obama administration.
  • If they really care about rape, then ask them why they don’t protest Planned Parenthood for systematically hiding statutory rape and sex trafficking.  The audio and video evidence against them is overwhelming.  Start by asking them, “Are all rapes pretty much equally bad, as Akin’s critics have noted?  OK, so let’s talk about Planned Parenthood . . .”
  • Also, ask them how it qualifies as pro-women to cheer at the funding losses of the Komen Foundation just because they dared to cut a tiny fraction of Planned Parenthood’s funding.
  • Pretty much anything you can mention about Ted Kennedy should be effective as well.

Don’t let the Left get away with whitewashing Clinton and their anti-women policies.  Make their claims boomerang on them just like the silly dog issue (yeah, Romney had his on the roof of his car, but Obama ate a dog).  And then there’s the latest “Oh, the humanity” reaction that Romney made a birth certificate quip.  Somehow that is unacceptable, unlike accusing your opponent of being a cancer-causing felon and abandoning tradition to make waves during his convention.

The war on women – yet pandering to Islam.

Great message about why we shouldn’t modify worship services to meet the alleged desires of the unsaved.

God was exposing a lie that had held us captive for years.  He was proving that his Word is fully sufficient, and that true converts thirst for it like a desert thirsts for rain.  Many who had grown up in the faith had hearts that were calloused toward the Truth.  Years of comfortable church had led them to hear the Word but excuse themselves from practicing it, steadily becoming self-deceived.  They projected this hard-heartedness onto newcomers, like the kids in the old Life Cereal commercials:  “Try teaching that to Mikey the Seeker – he HATES everything… Heyyyy…  Mikey LIKES it!”  Unfortunately, some never noticed or accepted that new believers were craving pure spiritual milk and even graduating to meat ahead of them.

The Sunday School class at the church we joined last year spent 3 years going verse by verse through 1 Peter.  A recipe for boredom and a shrinking class, right?  Hardly.  It grew like crazy, attracting high school kids (including my daughters) up to retired people.  Real believers want real Bible teaching.  You can tell how much confidence people have in the word of God and its power by how they treat it in sermons and lessons.

The one-size-fits-all response to Obama and his supporters when they complain about the Republican House preventing them from doing something: “You had two years of a Congress with sizable Democratic majorities, plus the momentum from your election win.  If raising taxes [or whatever else they are complaining about] was so important, why didn’t you do it then?”

—–

Atheist Jerry Coyne was so quick to dismiss the fact that Darwinian philosophy was at the root of the Columbine shootings that he said this in light of the latest events in Colorado.

Of course there was no evidence at all that Darwinism or evolution had motivated the shooters. They were disaffected and troubled boys who, thanks to America’s lax gun laws, were able to acquire an arsenal of firearms.

But as the facts show, Coyne was completely wrong.  But he is totally accurate on all of his science and never lets his ideology get in the way, right?

It was amusing to read the anti-gun rhetoric of his followers.  The survival-of-the-fittest types can’t go three sentences without contradicting themselves.

—–

Does it bother any of Obama’s supporters that he has an enemies list and that at least one person on it is now under audit from the IRS and the Labor Department?

—–

Did the mainstream media tell you about the woman killed during an abortion at Planned Parenthood, along with her child?  “Safe and legal” only applies to the leaders of PP and their protection from accountability for countless acts of hiding statutory rape.

—–

I’ve yet to find one of the anti-gun politicians or false teachers who isn’t pro-legalized abortion.  And I’m pretty sure they are all pro-taxpayer-funded abortion, meaning that they think our country would be better if only more unwanted human beings were destroyed in the womb.

My question for them: Would they switch to opposing abortion if the “doctors” used guns instead of knives?

The #1 thing to remember in the gun control debate: Criminals don’t obey gun control laws.

Methodists in Northeast Approve Pro-Gay Resolution — The Methodist Church in the U.S. is doomed. The non-Christians outnumber the Christians in this conference. Worse yet, even in a conservative area like the Texas Conference the non-Christians are able to keep Bible-believing and Book of Disciple-following pastors from becoming Bishop — and solely because they hold a biblical view of homosexuality.

While I’d love to blame the non-Christians in the denomination for this, it is really the fault of the squishy Bible-believing leaders and members who didn’t have the faith and courage to exercise church discipline and remove false teachers. Appeasement is deadly, not loving.  Sadly, some Bible-believers have learned that the hard way.  Appeasing doesn’t increase your odds of getting promoted, it just makes it 100% likely that you’ve sacrificed your principles and stopped preaching the whole counsel of God.

Leonard Pitts is a racist.  He thinks blacks and Hispanics are too helpless to obtain voter ID, even though they must provide identification for countless other daily activities.  And my guess is that he is pro-legalized abortion, which currently kills blacks at a rate 3x that of whites and Hispanics at a rate 2x that of whites. And those rates will increase as the Liberal dream of taxpayer-funded abortions increases.  Seems kinda racist to me.

Yes, Herman Cain is “a black man who knows his place” — the White House!

You just can’t make this stuff up.  The racist Left just doesn’t learn and keeps accusing Republicans who support Cain of being racists who are trying to hide their racism by supporting a black man.  Their true racism shines through, as they can’t see why we vote for ideas and character and not skin color.  See Video: MSNBC Analyst: GOP See Herman Cain as ‘Black Man Who Knows His Place’.

The ultimate Liberal tautology: You are racist for not voting for a black man and you are racist for voting for a black man

Alternate title: “Can a media personality say something more stupid than this? Probably not.”

A tautology is an essentially meaningless statement where all instances are true, such as, “It will rain today or it won’t.” I say without exaggeration that Janeane Garofalo’s version is that Republicans are racist for voting against a (half) black man (Obama) and they are racist for supporting Herman Cain.

It is obvious who the real racist is: Garofalo. She is so cynical that she’ll play the race card to manipulate people even though she has no evidence that Tea Partiers are racist for supporting Cain.

In an appearance on Wednesday night’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” on Current TV, Garofalo explained her theory.

“Herman Cain is probably well-liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican Party, conservative movement and tea party movement,” Garofalo said.

“People like Karl Rove like to keep the racism very covert and so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity so he can say, ‘Look: This is not a racist anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look: We have a black man.’ And look he’s polling well and he won a straw poll.”

Note to Janeane: Please meditate on these facts . . .

  • Abortion rates in the black community are 3x that of whites. Liberals want taxpayer-funded abortions, which will only increase that ratio. Republicans oppose this. How does that fit in with your “Republicans are racist and Democrats are not” meme?
  • Democrats have had virtual monopolies on inner-city politics and education for over 50 years. How is that working out for black people?
  • Black unemployment has gone up dramatically under President Obama. Will another half-trillion of political payoffs help reduce that?

Via Garofalo: Cain’s rise in support proves Republican racism, or something « Hot Air.

Uh oh, a double dog dare!

I got this challenge on Facebook from a life-long friend.  He has a great sense of humor and thick skin, but sadly suffers from a debilitating case of Liberalism. Out of kindness, I gave him two chances to withdraw the dare, but he persisted (they are a stubborn lot!).

Neil, I dare you to post this on your blog. No, I double dog dare you. Zombies Walk The Halls Of Congress : NPR.

The article highlighted Democrats and Republicans who stayed in Congress after scandals.  I wonder why NPR didn’t go after examples like this more aggressively?  I mean, sweet Maxine is still there.  They could shine a bigger light on this one:

Other survivors? There’s Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA). During the fiscal meltdown, she arranged a meeting with the Treasury Department for a bank her husband owned stock in.

The article forgot to note that Republicans are more likely to resign and more likely to be pressured to resign from their party.  Then again, you can only be a hypocrite if you have standards to begin with.  Witness Chris Matthews’ claim that the real problem with Weiner is that “backwards” religious people disagree with his behavior — meaning that “progressive” people think there was nothing really wrong with a Congressman exposing himself to bribes and ridicule  in sending R- and X-rated pictures of himself to strangers and then lying to friends and enemies alike in a pathetic cover-up attempt.  His real crime was getting caught.  Hey, at least Matthews clearly reveals his “morality.”

Also note that the NPR article “forgot” to mention Bill Clinton staying in office after abusing his authority with an intern, exposing himself to the possibility of blackmail, trying to destroy her life (and he would have succeeded if not for the infamous dress) and lying under oath.  Yet while Nixon became synonymous with deception and scandal, Clinton’s punishment is making $100,000 per speech and having a wife who is Secretary of State.

Back to the dare: My friend’s premise was that I’d never post something from NPR that showed that they were balanced.  But the grand irony is if they were truly unbiased then he could send me their links all day, every day.  But as it is he found a token piece that was balanced and was so shocked and thrilled that he launched into his double dog dare without realizing that he was proving my point, not his.

Whether NPR is biased or not (and of course they are wildly biased, or my extreme Liberal friend wouldn’t be such a loyal fan), they shouldn’t get government funding.

There you go, my friend.  Hope you’re happy!

Are voter ID bills racist?

Of course not.  What could be more logical than requiring voters to prove that they are who they claim to be?  Anyone fighting voter ID laws tips their hands at their endorsement of voter fraud.

Are convenience stores racist for asking for ID before someone buys alcohol?

Somehow, it’s okay to have to show ID to the clerk at 7-11 for cigarettes and chewing tobacco, or at the liquor store and college bar to buy any form of alcohol.

Heck, you even have to show ID to a cop if you get pulled over.

Despite all of this, though, as Wisconsin passes a new law to require IDs in order to vote it’s racism according to the SEIU:

via SEIU: New Wisconsin Voter ID Bill Is Racist! | RedState.

Bad news for teachers’ unions and racists in Washington D.C.: House reinstates voucher program and advances desegration

See House GOP desegregates DC school system. | RedState.  Turns out the Democrats aren’t as pro-choice as they claim.  Pro-choice to destroy innocent human life?  No problem for them.  Pro-choice for minorities to attend better schools?  Eek!  Can’t have that.

The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program — which provides low-income District students with federal money to attend private schools — is a top priority of Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). The program was closed to new entrants by Democrats in 2009, but Boehner has sought to revive and expand the program. The House passed a Boehner-authored bill last month — the SOAR Act — to reauthorize the program for five more years, and that bill will be included in the final spending deal and signed into law by Obama.

. . .  The [Obama] administration was surprisingly unequivocal in its opposition to “the creation or expansion of private school voucher programs that are authorized by this bill,” probably because poor minority kids don’t contribute to Democratic slush funds to the extent that the NEA does.  Killing the DC voucher program has been a priority for Democrats since they took full control of the government in 2009 . . .

An adult approach to the Federal budget

This should be big news tomorrow: New at WSJ: Paul Ryan announces that GOP’s 2012 budget would cut $6.2 trillion in spending over 10 years « Hot Air.  The Democratic proposals on the table would destroy the country.  I say that without hyperbole.  Don’t believe me?  Try borrowing 40% of your spending year after year and see how that works out for you.

I keep hoping against hope that The One will gradually realize that signing on to this plan, or some version of it, is actually in his interest politically. There’s literally nothing he could do to alienate the left to the point where they won’t vote for him — most of them trust his judgment more than they trust their own, an unforeseen side effect of Hopenchange messianism — so he could win over independents by coopting Ryan’s plan and have nothing to fear about losing liberals in the general election. There’d be nothing much to fear from seniors, either: I think Ryan and Boehner are so sincere about tackling this problem that they’ll give O whatever bipartisan cover he needs to get this done. (Boehner has promised as much.)

Yea for Wisconsin!

See Entitlement Rage: The Scene in Wisconsin When the Bill Passed | Verum Serum.

Watch the video.  Sure looks like a lot of angry white people.  Must be racists.  At least that was the meme about TEA Partiers.  Isn’t it odd that the mainstream media has ignored racial composition with this issue?

This is what happens when people get entitlements: They behave like that when you try to take away just a small portion of them.  Lessons learned: Don’t give them to begin with, because they are counterproductive.  Make sure you win when they use these violent and immature responses, otherwise you’ll encourage further bad behavior.

It is so sad that private sector people root for these spoiled government employees.  They are the ones driving up your taxes and giving you lousy service in return.  As noted separately, Texas — a non-union state — outscores Wisconsin on all student test scores when broken down by race.

Democrats own the unions, and unions own the Democrats.  Now is the time for any adults in government to curb public sector unions.

Oh, and about those Fleebaggers — if those were Republicans wouldn’t the Left be going on endlessly about dereliction of duty, etc.?  If the Republicans can’t milk the Wisconsin thing through 2012 they need to fire the whole marketing department.

Why Is That Christian Dressed Up Like a Psychic? – great article about decision making and the will of God and how sloppy some Christians get when it comes to rationalizing decisions.  From the intro:

This is a pandemic problem in evangelical churches. How many times have you heard someone say, “God told me,” “God lead me,” “God laid it on my heart,” etc? One would think that these individuals heard the audible voice of God; but no, they base their statements on their feelings: a liver quiver, a gut assumption, butterflies, etc. The problem is that there is nowhere in the Bible where God spoke to anyone through their feelings… not one example. So, whenever these Christians make these statements, they have noauthority or example in Scripture to prove that God is speaking to them. They thus are playing the psychic.

Francis Collins Changes His Tune On “Junk DNA” – Hmmmm.  Turns out that “junk” DNA isn’t so junky after all.  Actually, we’ve known that for some time, but I’m glad to see Collins acknowledge it.  I hope he reconsiders his oxymoronic theistic evolution as well.  People like him are useful tools for the Darwinist crowd.  Just watch the movie  Expelled! and see how they patronize those who try to rationalize that God guided Darwinian evolution.

Question: How Can We Know One Belief Selected for By Evolution is Superior to Another?

. . .

Theist:  Let me get this straight.  According to you, religious belief has at least two characterizes:  (1) it is false; and (2) evolution selected for it.

EM [looking a little pale now, because he’s just figured out where this is going]:  Correct.

Theist:  You believe the Neo-Darwinian Synthesis [NDS] is true.

EM:  Of course.

Theist:  How do you know your belief in NDS is not another false belief that evolution has selected for?

. . .

Don’t buy the lie that because Texas has lower ACT/SAT scores than Wisconsin that a lack of unionized teachers is the reason.  First, the money quote:

To recap: white students in Texas perform better than white students in Wisconsin, black students in Texas perform better than black students in Wisconsin, Hispanic students in Texas perform better than Hispanic students in Wisconsin

Now, a little more background.

The point being, I suppose, is that unionized teachers stand as a thin chalk-stained line keeping Wisconsin from descending into the dystopian non-union educational hellscape of Texas. Interesting, if it wasn’t complete bullshit.

As a son of Iowa, I’m no stranger to bragging about my home state’s ranking on various standardized test. Like Wisconsin we Iowans usually rank near the top of the heap on average ACT/SAT scores. We are usually joined there by Minnesota, Nebraska, and the various Dakotas; Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire…

… beginning to see a pattern? Perhaps because a state’s “average ACT/SAT” is, for all intents and purposes, a proxy for the percent of white people who live there. In fact, the lion’s share of state-to-state variance in test scores is accounted for by differences in ethnic composition. Minority students – regardless of state residence – tend to score lower than white students on standardized test, and the higher the proportion of minority students in a state the lower its overall test scores tend to be.

Please note: this has nothing to do with innate ability or aptitude. Quite to the contrary, I believe the test gap between minority students and white students can be attributed to differences in socioeconomic status. And poverty. And yes, racism. And yes, family structure. Whatever combination of reasons, the gap exists, and it’s mathematical sophistry to compare the combined average test scores in a state like Wisconsin (4% black, 4% Hispanic) with a state like Texas (12% black, 30% Hispanic).

Ann Coulter has a great summary of public sector unions.

As Obama rakes in historic campaign contributions from Wall Street money, liberals claim Republicans are beholden to “the rich.” However that may be, it is far more true, and far less remarked upon, that the Democratic Party is the party of public sector unions.

And now, the nation watches helplessly as public sector unions and their Democratic allies say to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Nice state you got there, governor. Be a shame if something bad happened to it.

For Democrats, the purpose of government is to generously provide jobs for people who otherwise couldn’t be hired — because their skills, attitude or sense of entitlement are considered undesirable in the private sector. And no, I’m not just talking about Barack Obama.

Democrats use taxpayer money to fund a government jobs program, impoverishing the middle class and harming the people allegedly helped by the programs — but creating a vast class of voters who owe their jobs to the Democrats.

This is a system designed to ratchet up costs. Look at the history of every entity where public employees have unionized, and you will find that not only are government workers paid more, but there are also a lot more of them doing a lot less useful work.

Kline accuses KS Supreme Court of obstructing justice to protect Tiller, Planned Parenthood – a serious miscarriage of justice is playing out in Kansas.  Lots of things haven’t been investigated:

What also came out during the trial was what the Supreme Court has never investigated to this day. While it desperately attempts to find unethical behavior on Kline’s part, it ignores actual potential violations of law on the part of state officials and abortion clinics (aside from illegal abortions and rape cover-ups):

1. Opening Kline’s mail, a federal offense: Documents Kline never requested but were sent to him at an incorrect address after he left the DA’s office and then returned, were opened by either the DA or AG and are currently being used against him in the ethics case.

2. Someone in AG Morrison’s office made a cd of all Kline’s abortion files and left it, along with some spreadsheets, on the desk of Tiller’s attorney, who kept them for over a year.

3. The Supreme Court ordered Kline to hand over all information he had obtained to AG Morrison on PPs nationwide.  This included evidence in prosecutions against PP in Ohio, videotapes from Lila Rose’s 1st video investigation of PP nationwide, and the names of PP employees who came forward to Kline from clinics around the country. Kline testified this prompted some of his sources to threaten litigation against him. But most importantly, “I’ve been told all that information was then turned over to attorneys for abortion clinics.”

Is Planned Parenthood still racist? You decide.  Their founder sure was.  The rate of abortions in the black community is 3x that of whites, and the taxpayer-funded abortions they lust after will make that ratio higher.

Civility and silence

See Wisconsin Democrat makes death threat against Republican Assemblywoman « Wintery Knight.

Despite the following report from the Northwestern at 12:53 PM Monday, no major media outlet other than Fox News has covered this disgusting story:

Rep. Gordon Hintz, D-Oshkosh, called Rep. Michelle Litjens, R-Winneconne, Monday morning to apologize for his comments that Litjens described as containing an obscenity and the words “you’re dead.” Last week, he accepted responsibility for being issued an ordinance violation for visiting a massage parlor in Appleton that was the subject of a prostitution sting.

In this post-Gabrielle Giffords world, with calls for a new civility, a man that was just busted in the middle of a prostitution sting says “You are f–king dead” to a woman on the floor of the Wisconsin assembly, and America’s media couldn’t care less.

Despite this being reported no later than 10:43 AM, a Google news search identified that apart from Wisconsin outlets, only Fox and conservative websites thought this was at all newsworthy.

After the Arizona shootings, false teachers* cried about civility and immediately blamed Sarah Palin, even though their savior, Barak Obama, even had to admit that TEA partiers et al had nothing to do with the Left wing atheist nut who did the shooting.

But when we have story after story of union goons getting violent and actual “You are fucking dead” threats, they and their media accomplices are silent.

If these fakes want to keep pretending that they care about anything besides advancing extreme Left-wing politics they need to at least pretend to care about real, live threats from their side.

Ask your Congressional representatives to de-fund PP now.  It isn’t just the abortions, it is the serial hiding of statutory rape and sex crimes.  Don’t listen to the fear-mongering about the other services they provide.  There are many places that can provide those that don’t commit the atrocities that PP does.

Wisc. and Ind. Democrats: Union Cash Driving Democrats to Run and Hide

By far unions are the largest donors that Democrats have all up and down the line from local and state to federal. Unions spent over 50 million dollars on Barack Obama’s campaign back in 2008 and they spent another 50 million for the 2010 midterm elections.

Most specifically public employee unions are Democrats biggest supporters. In the last week of the 2010 election, for instance, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) spent over a million dollars to help elect Democrats. The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) spent almost $400,000.

So when these Democrats run away and try to hide in a neighboring state it is because their biggest donors are demanding that they “do something.” And since Democrats in these states have lost all power due to the will of the voters, they feel that their last ability to stop legislation that hurts donor’s interests is to shut down government.

There is no parallel for this in the actions of Republicans who have spent decades as powerless onlookers in state government. No blocks of Republicans have run away like cowards to nearby states to avoid doing their jobs. Republicans have been essentially powerless in the face of unions since World War II yet in that almost 80-year span where Democrats have been in the pocket of Big Labor no blocks of Republicans have wallowed in such childish petulance. Republicans continued to go to work in their state capitols despite being virtually powerless to affect unions.

The insidiousness of media bias — Democrats, Media Keep ‘Birther’ Story Alive

The nagging issue of “Birthers” raises a chicken/egg question: It is an issue that lingers of its own accord, or does it linger because the media won’t let it go away?

Republicans appearing on cable to talk about important issues of the day — unemployment, the national debt, Egypt, Wisconsin, etc. — can bet the “Birther” question will come up. And there appears to be nothing a Republican can do to satisfy an interviewer on this question. It is not enough to state a belief in the president’s Christianity, or that one takes the president at his word. In question after question, interviewers call on Republicans to condemn, repeatedly, rumors they neither believe nor spread; then they condemn the condemnation for not being condemnatory enough.

And so the issue keeps coming up. It’s self-perpetuating. Twice in the past week, George Stephanopoulos has asked Republican guests on Good Morning America about it. David Gregory routinely does the same on Meet the Press.

I saw this comment that was trying to refute John’s excellent response to a HuffPo fluff piece by a false teacher promoting pro-gay theology:

Christians loudly opposing homosexuality are being really interrested in the personal sins of others, are they not? Or is it only a few particular sins, that they happen to be blameless for themselves? So, the question arises, are they doing what their religion demands of them? Wether christians should be good and forgiving people or should they be on the lookout for their “neighbours sins”? Is it really what Jesus demanded of them? If that is a part of being a christian, I am especially happy I am not one. It must be a burden to try and watch for ones fellow man, for him not to “sin” in his bedroom…

My response to the commenter:

Go check your history.  Was pro-gay theology the dominate view of the church for 2,000 and then these awful conservatives came along to try and change it?  Did both Christian and non-Christian cultures always celebrate (oxymoronic) “same-sex marriage” and then conservative Christians decided to change that?

Of course not.  The apostate pro-gay theologians brought it up and part of their playbook is acting like we’re the ones obsessed with it.

And when one of the logical consequences of making sexual preferences into civil rights is that young children will be forced to learn that these perversions are “normal,”  that is definitely worth fighting.

Lara Logan, Islam and Women’s Rights – Why the media silence on the Islamic gang-rapes?  Too scared to mention it?  Doesn’t fit in the the PC-memes?  Why aren’t the feminists going insane over this?  More from the Wintery Knight about the Koran’s teachings on this.

Roxanne On that whole “teachers work long hours during the school year” thing — Nice.

All Teachers Unions Must Fall, Not Just Wisconsin’s – just read it all.  Great overview of how awful they are and why they should be illegal.

Roundup

I used to appreciate the ministry of Norm Geisler but I’ve been really disappointed in how he helped cover up the Ergun Caner scandal.

Organized Medical Fraud at Wisconsin Protests – Oh, but it is all for the children, right?  I wonder what other unethical things these doctors do.  This link has a video.

Many of the protesters at the Capitol in Wisconsin have been cheating their students by playing hooky, shafting their coworkers by skipping out, and defrauding the taxpayers by malingering. They did this so that they could attempt to overturn last November’s elections while evading some of the consequences of abandoning their professional responsibilities.

Bernard Nathanson, a famous convert from abortionist to pro-lifer died recently.

He was one of the architects of the pro-abortion movement, a president of NARAL, and an abortionist who oversaw the destruction of 75,000 babies. As part of this, he and his colleagues made up statistics about the number of women hurt or killed from illegal abortions.  He performed late-term abortions, and admitted once that 80% of those abortions were on healthy women with healthy babies.

Then, he converted to the pro-life movement, aided by the advent of foetal ultrasound.  Doctor Nathanson then became one of the most prominent members of the pro-life community and an advocate for the humanity of the unborn.

Guess Where I Found Predominantly, Overwhelmingly White Crowds? – Oops, sorry, I forgot that the race card is only for bashing conservatives.  The link has a nice summary of the race-baiting done when covering conservative rallies but it appears no sources were available where the MSM bemoans the lily white crowds at the pro-union protests in Wisconsin.

This is hugely important: What are the economic effects of the green environmentalist agenda? Once again the environmental extremists cause catastrophic economic damage that wouldn’t be justified even if their environmental goals were met.  But to make things worse, they don’t even solve what they claimed they would.  This is like the dishwasher detergent issue, only much worse.

Former lesbian: “I’m proud to follow Jesus”

Wisconsin civility update: Have you seen the MSM go nuts over the protestors’ signs threatening to rape conservative news women and wanting the Governor dead?  They also posted home addresses of legislators so they could be harassed there.  Charming.  Here’s a good summary of the hate.

The Abortion Rights Movement Makes Heroes out of Child-killers

Remember the notorious Pennsylvania abortionist exposed in January, whose practices even the secular media labeled as inhuman and monstrous? (See my blog post.) Well, here is yet another abortionist, James Pendergraft, in an honored place in a prochoice march just a few years ago, defending his right to make millions of dollars killing children. Read this account of how he is now performing a new method of late-term abortion in the DC area.

False teachers profit from poverty

First, let me be clear that I care a lot about the poor.  I’m pretty sure I donate more to help them than false teachers like Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie (unless his giving is 20x the typical Liberal politician).  I taught Junior Achievement classes for 13 years.  I support CareNet, which provides life skills training in addition to saving the weak (the ones Chuck thinks it is OK to kill).  And so on.

But as usual, the types that cause the poverty make their living off “curing” it.

Half of Americans state that someone in their close family is poor, and over 50 million Americans are living in a household struggling against hunger. We need your help now more than ever to build a grassroots movement to cut poverty in half in 10 years.

via : “Tell Congress Not to Scrooge the Jobless This Holiday Season!”.

These “grassroots movement” types don’t understand what reduces poverty: Jobs!!  They fight for job-killing legislation like the Cap and Trade nonsense and ridiculous ventures like ethanol that only help people like Al Gore.

They will never be able to help the poor in the long run because they are Democratic shills and glorified poverty pimps.

It has been proven that Liberals fail at economics.  They don’t know how jobs are created.

Jim Clyburn = the Dwight Schrute of Congress?

Via Pelosi Letter Designating Clyburn Assistant Leader:

Should I receive the privilege of serving as House Democratic Leader, I will be very honored to nominate our outstanding colleague, Congressman Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, to serve in the number three House Democratic position. I will also ask the Caucus to designate that position as Assistant Leader.

Interpretation: “We don’t want to give you a real position, so we’re making one up.”

It reminds me of the running gag about Dwight Schrute from The Office, where he claims be Assistant Regional Manager even though his real title is Assistant to the Regional Manager — and where neither title carries any authority or money with it.

Pelosi’s move is the worst kind of affirmative action.
