False teacher, false dichotomy

False teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie  took a break from taking little girls to gay pride parades to offer a common but fallacious false dichotomy about Health Care vs. Bullets.  He probably uses the same bad logic on education vs. bullets, taxpayer-funded abortion vs. bullets, etc.

GOP leaders in Congress – hoping the U.S. Supreme Court will strike down Obamacare – are looking to reroute funding for health care to military budgets.

Well, duh.  The bill was obviously un-Constitutional.  Anyone who can read knows that.  The only question is whether the judges will have any integrity.

And here’s what is Constitutional: Defending the country — with bullets!  Pacifism is a moral evil.  It is a noble and Christian thing to protect people.  Strong national defense saves lives and prevents wars.  We won the Cold War that way.

It’s a move people of faith must resist.

There’s the predictable “people of faith,” where Chuck dives into being unequally yoked with non-believers (oh, wait, he’s a non-believer himself . . . this gets so complicated!).

Politico reports: If the Supreme Court strikes down the health care reform law, that loss for President Barack Obama could be a win for the Pentagon.

That’s because Congress could find itself flush, thanks to billions of dollars that were allocated to fund “Obamacare” that won’t be spent if parts of the law are knocked down. . . .

Oh, so this is just a hypothetical.  Hey, here’s an idea.  Maybe if we didn’t spend the money at all and just borrowed less for future generations to repay?

The funny thing is that Chuck forgot to pretend that Obamacare saves money.  Oops!  Now, we all knew it would cost hundreds of billions, but Chuck used to spout that talking point that it would save $$ — just another tangled web for him.

For Christians, the responsibility on how to respond is clear.  We need to continue to work towards a health care system that covers every American.  It is our moral obligation.

1. He’s not a Christian.  He denies the essentials.

2. That’s odd for a pro-abortionist who takes little girls to gay pride parades to prattle on about moral obligations.

Robbing people of their health care to expand military budgets is contrary to the values of our faith.

Eek!  Robbing!  That sounds bad.  Oh, wait, the truth is that no one is robbing anyone of anything.  Chuck, like most Liberals, doesn’t understand positive and negative rights. No one has a “right” to healthcare.  And the military budget angle was pure speculations.

And what “values” are those?  More taxpayer-funded abortions, where you truly rob people of their funds to kill innocent but unwanted human beings?

Remember, no system is perfect.  Even if the lie about our system killing 46,000 people per year was true, we’re still 10 times better than England.

False teacher.  False hypothesis.  False dichotomy.

Abby Johnson on defunding Planned Parenthood

Abby Johnson is a former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic.  She resigned after viewing an ultrasound of an abortion.  In Defund Planned Parenthood she exposes many of the deceptions PP uses to maintain its funding.

Planned Parenthood has been misleading Congress and American taxpayers for many years. I know — I was part of the deception. For eight years I worked at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas, and for two of those years I was the clinic’s director.

Here are the ways Planned Parenthood is deceiving the public — and taxpayers — about what it does.

Deception No. 1: Taxpayer funds don’t go to pay for abortions. This defies common sense and basic logic; of course taxpayer money helps to finance abortions at Planned Parenthood clinics.

Planned Parenthood gets one-third of its annual budget from taxpayer funding, and it performed a total of more than 650,000 abortions in just 2008 and 2009 (the last year for which figures are available).

. . .

As clinic director, I saw how money received by Planned Parenthood affiliate clinics all went into one pot at the end of the day — it isn’t divvied up and directed to specific services.

And while Planned Parenthood says abortions make up just 3 percent of its services, I found they used an sleight of hand, unbundling family planning services so each patient shows anywhere from five to 20 “visits” per appointment (12 packs of birth control would show up as 12 individual visits). It does the opposite for abortion visits, bundling them together so each appointment shows as one visit. This skews the numbers. You have an overwhelming number of “visits” for family planning compared to abortion, even though you may have seen the same number of patients.

Deception No. 2: Planned Parenthood wants to reduce the number of abortions in the United States. Nonsense. Its primary focus is abortion and it is big business. In 2009, Planned Parenthood had $1.1 billion, and $63 million left over after expenses (see page 29 of itsannual report).

No wonder Planned Parenthood has established an organization called the Consortium of Abortion Providers, the primary goal of which is to turn every nonabortion Planned Parenthood clinic into an abortion-providing clinic. Planned Parenthood also recently issued a directive mandating that all of its affiliates provide abortions by 2013.

Deception No. 3: Planned Parenthood’s highest priority is women’s health and safety. As referenced several times during the congressional debate about whether or not to defund Planned Parenthood, Live Action has documented numerous occasions in which Planned Parenthood staff have shown willingness to aid and abet self-identified sex traffickers and their professed exploitation of underage girls.

Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey was so embarrassed by office manager Amy Woodruff’s comments recorded by an undercover hidden camera that it had to fire her. She was clearly advising a self-professed sex trafficker on how and where to get abortions for his underage girls. New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow has asked for an investigation.

. . .

Further, Planned Parenthood has adamantly opposed laws in nearly two dozen states that require clinic staff to show a woman a sonogram before the abortion takes place. So much for supporting informed choice.

Read it all.  Taxpayer funds should not support this organization.  If pro-legalized abortionists want to fund PP then they should donate just like pro-lifers donate to fund pregnancy care centers.

Looks like Planned Parenthood will get nailed by a series of undercover videos. Again.

And the mainstream media will look the other way.  Again.  And Congress will keep giving them hundreds of millions of your tax dollars.  See After all, sex traffickers need Planned Parenthood, too – Jill Stanek.

This time PP is trying to get ahead of the embarrassment, but they are fumbling because they don’t know the content of the videos.  Apparently they don’t just aggressively and systematically hide statutory rape, they are willing to hide underage sex workers (slaves would be a more accurate term).  Why do people expect decent, law-abiding behavior from those who kill innocent human beings for a living?

P.S. I agree with Planned Parenthood’s view: “An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun” At least that was their view in this 1964 advertisement. Did they learn anything about science in the few years after that when they changed their minds? Of course not. Science couldn’t be more clear: A new human being is created at conception.

Truth vs. fiction on the budget deficits

Despite the “Blame Bush first” mantra of this administration, the truth about the deficit spending is pretty easy to see.

To start, one should realize that the President does not make the budget — though he can influence it, as Obama has certainly done with the stimulus package and other horrific economic policies.

Congress makes the budgets, and then-Senator Obama was a part of that for 2008 and 2009 (technically the 2007 budget was the last of the Republican plans).  Note how the deficits, while high, were being reduced each year.

From 2008 on it is all Democrat, all the time.  And those figures should frighten people.  It is a quick way to destroy the country, because those are obviously unsustainable.  They will kill jobs, which will reduce the tax receipts even more and make these projections even worse when they play out.

We need to spend less, starting now.   This is what happens when you have inexperienced people in charge who have no concept of basic economic principles.

What do Obama & Co. want more than healthcare for the uninsured?

More abortions.  Seriously.

Meditate on this: If Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest hadn’t insisted on taxpayer funded abortions – despite their repeated lies in saying that wasn’t part of their plan – the health care bill would have sailed through Congress long ago.  Their desire to increase abortions resulted in them not only missing out on that but in killing socialized healthcare for many years.

If they hadn’t insisted on taxpayer funded abortions they could have have passed the rest of the health care bill and saved hundreds of millions in dollars in bribes to Louisana, Nebraska and other states.  But that wouldn’t have increased abortions, so they would rather have no bill at all.

None of the health care amendments would have reduced the current level of abortions.  They just sought to ensure that it wouldn’t have provided for taxpayer-funded abortions, which the vast majority of Americans oppose.  Even if abortions are legal it doesn’t mean we should be forced to pay poorer people to have their unborn children destroyed.

Fact: These leaders wanted to increase abortions more than they want to help the uninsured.   They would rather destroy the potentially poor than help the real poor (as misguided and counterproductive as their plans are).

Isn’t it a bizarre but positive thing that their irrational passion for more abortions not only kept them from gaining that but kept the rest of the health care debacle from being passed?

P.S. Repeat after me — abortion is not health care.  Health care is when you help human beings live.
