Another blasphemous book by Rachel Held Evans

Mrs. Evans has made a career out of being an “ex-evangelical” (sort of like Bart Ehrman, except he’s a bit more honest than she is).  She mocks the word of God for profit and once again insists that the Bible’s authors were blasphemous liars and that the text did not turn out as God wanted it to.  After all, if the Holy Spirit had been involved then she wouldn’t have to edit it.

The world loves her messages because she poses as a Christian who tells them just what they want to hear, namely that the Bible is a silly book that they do not need to read or take seriously.  And of course she fights for legalized abortion to the child’s 1st breath (and without anesthetic, of course, because compassion), is wildly pro-LGBTQX, etc.  Her primary self-description is “doubt-filled believer,” but she has no doubts that her conscience trumps (heh) the Bible and that Jesus agrees with all of her Leftist politics.  This is the “Christian” who demands that her conscience be the guide as to what is really from God.

Here’s a sample from her latest book.

Got that?  Your conscience is God, and it sits in judgment of the Bible.  What could go wrong?  It is classic “Christian” Left rationalizing and creating a god in her own image. The real Jesus doesn’t fit her sensibilities, so He must be wrong. Uh, sure.

Her followers will think it is so poetic blah blah blah but it is the same old rebellion.  She can’t possibly see how God just might understand something better than her.

Isaiah 55:8–9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Also see the end of Job. Did he get to understand everything about God’s ways?  (Ironically, she appeals to the story of Job for why she gets to demand answers from God.  Did she read the beginning or ending of Job?  Not sure that will turn out for her like she planned . . .)

She blasphemously claims the following:

It [the Bible] fails massively at getting to the point.

That is spoken like a non-Christian. Here’s a simple example: The Bible teaches over 100 times that Jesus is the only way to salvation (it isn’t just John 14:6, though that would be enough). What could be more clear? But a spiritually blind wolf like Evans can’t see that — and obviously doesn’t believe it.

And she is wildly pro-LGBTQX perversions, even though the Bible couldn’t be more clear and consistent about God’s views on sex.  Consider the following truths and how Evans’ perversion-affirming god teaches the opposite:

  • 100% of the verses addressing homosexual behavior denounce it as sin in the strongest possible terms.
  • 100% of the verses referencing God’s ideal for marriage involve one man and one woman.
  • 100% of the verses referencing parenting involve moms and dads with unique roles (or at least a set of male and female parents guiding the children).
  • 0% of 31,173 Bible verses refer to homosexual behavior in a positive or even benign way or even hint at the acceptability of homosexual unions.

Even two out of three types of pro–gay theologians* concede those points, yet the “doubt-filled” Evans has zero doubts about affirming every sexual perversion in the LTBTQX spectrum.

And note how she insists that her sitting in judgment of the Bible is what it truly prescribes, as if we should all trust our consciences.

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Here’s more:

Non-Christian Mrs. Evans quotes non-Christian Thomas Paine to attack the Bible. Seems about right.  No, wait, at least Paine was honest about his beliefs. I’d take Richard Dawkins over Evans any day – at least you know where he really stands.

This isn’t a nuanced debate on a meaning of a Hebrew word. We all agree that the text says God said to clear out the Promised Land, among other things. But Evans’ sleight of hand is to conflate her conscientious objections with the fact that there are some legitimate debates on some Bible passages.  But the net of it is that she claims those are blasphemous lies that don’t belong in the text.  And we aren’t talking about a couple verses, but literally many hundreds of verses tied to the prediction, execution and references back to the taking of the Promised Land.

So once again Mrs. Evans claims that the Holy Spirit did not inspire the writings and that the human authors were blasphemous liars. That’s her prerogative. We even have a precise theological term for people like her: Non-Christian.

Jesus affirmed the Old Testament and authorized the New Testament. You can agree with him or you can agree with Mrs. Evans and the “Christian” Left. Choose carefully.

Mrs. Evans et al are such transparent wolves.  They must have gotten too warm, because they took off the sheep’s clothing long ago.  Their followers are getting what they deserve.

At least that’s why my God-given conscience tells me, so I must be right!

*Pro-gay theology tends to fall into one of three categories. They are all wrong, but for varying reasons. Sometimes they overlap categories.

  1. The Bible is either not the Word of God, or most parts of it aren’t. This view claims that we can ignore the prohibitions against homosexual behavior because they were written by homophobic Jews.
  2. The Bible is the Word of God, but it doesn’t really say homosexual behavior is wrong. This view holds that people just aren’t reading the Bible properly, and that God’s Word is actually affirming of gay relationships.
  3. The Bible is the Word of God and does clearly and emphatically describe gay behavior as sinful. However, the Holy Spirit has given additional revelations such that this behavior is now acceptable. This view holds that God has changed his mind on this moral issue and not only is it now acceptable, but it is sinful if you don’t affirm this behavior and same-sex relationships.

Update: Truly sad that she died, especially having young kids.  But I have to be candid: When I read the comments of those who supported her and were affirmed by her, I am reminded at how wicked her “ministry” was. These were typical:

4 hours ago   I had permission to explore LGBTQ+ affirming theology & eventually come out as bisexual. She was one of the first affirming Christians I encountered in my research, & her loud support is directly tied to who I am today.

37 minutes ago The door she opened for me by saying it’s okay to be angry at the church and it’s okay to leave, led to a thousand other open doors and new pathways that created who I am now: a queer Christian woman who no longer fears the white cisheteropatriarchy.

3 hours ago   I first started exploring Side A theology, which has led to me being in a wonderful, loving, gay relationship. I’m able to be myself and live my best life because of her opening my eyes.

4 hours ago  I’m an openly queer woman serving as an elder in my church . I never could have reconciled feminism and Christianity all those years ago without her.

If that’s what she encouraged people to do then it is a tragic legacy.

Someone wrote this in response to a blog post noting Evans’ bad theology:

Rude. Heartless. So inappropriate. Can you picture Christ responding like this – calling someone an apostate immediately after their untimely death? I don’t think so. I don’t know what god you guys are serving, but it doesn’t reflect the God that I know.

The commenter was tone-deaf to the fact that that’s exactly how Jesus will respond when someone dies — either with judgment or with “well done, good and faithful servant.” Someone rightly pointed out what Jesus said about untimely deaths:

Luke 13:1–5 There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

Not surprisingly, Evan’s fans reject what Jesus said.

Fact: Illegal aliens steal jobs and suppress the wages of remaining jobs

And they destroy the communities they are poured into — which, of course, aren’t the communities of the elitist virtue-signaling whites who push for open borders.

The title is such a Captain Obvious kind of economic statement, founded on the simple and timeless impact of the law of supply and demand, that it should go without saying.  But because Leftists literally fail at basic economic concepts and throw low economic status minorities under the bus to pander to illegal aliens,  it needs to be repeated over and over.

The Left pretends that the only jobs that illegal aliens take are those of picking crops and such (as if that would justify them breaking the law).  But here’s a recent example that I heard about in detail from an accounting executive of a company in the U.S. (I’m not being overly specific here because of confidentiality issues).

  • A couple hundred illegal aliens who performed semi-skilled labor walked off the job at a U.S.  manufacturing company because they heard that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was going to do a raid.  (It wasn’t clear whether the company knew they were illegal aliens or not.)
  • The company was understandably desperate to fulfill their customer orders, so they went to the market to replace the employees.  When they did so they realized that they had to pay fifty percent more in wages.  Fifty percent!
  • The remaining employees who were citizens got a huge raise.
  • The new employees got market wages.
  • These jobs were ideal for those without college educations or formal training.  They require some skill, but it can be learned on the job.

Simple and valuable lessons:

  • Illegal aliens took jobs of U.S. citizens, because they were willing to work for so much less.
  • Illegal aliens significantly suppressed the wages of the remaining jobs, because they were willing to work for so much less.
  • Law enforcement works!  What a concept, eh?  We still need a wall and/or much better border control, like any sane country would have.  But in the mean time merely enforcing some of our existing laws has a huge benefit for our citizens.  If companies know they’ll get caught and fined they won’t hire illegal alien labor to begin with.  And the honest companies won’t be at a competitive disadvantage for doing the right thing.
  • Getting citizens off unemployment / welfare reduces the burden on society and has more people paying into the system.
  • The Left — including the “Christian” Left — pretends to care about low income blacks while acting against their best interests 24×7.  They pander to illegals to get votes so they can stay in power and reap the benefits of crony capitalism, but that means the low income minorities stay on the Democrats’ plantation.
  • Obama & Co. pretended to care about blacks, but what did they have to show for it after 8 years besides higher unemployment, destroyed towns like Ferguson and the worst race relations in half a century?  The Left has to constantly play the race card on Trump because he is actually helping blacks get jobs.
  • This doesn’t even include the huge tax burden of millions of illegal aliens consuming educational, welfare and other resources.
  • It doesn’t include how many jobs are now unattainable for blacks because they require bi-lingual skills.
  • When the “Christian” Left tries to claim that Jesus was an illegal alien, remind them that their claim is historically false, we don’t live in an Israelite theocracy, and people who repeat that nonsense to promote open borders just for the U.S. are some combination of ignorance, malice and treason.

The working poor – which have a disproportionate amount of minorities – are already benefiting by the reduction of illegal aliens entering the country.

And, ironically, they have President Trump to thank for it.

Want to help race relations? Get involved in prison or pregnancy center ministries.

Race had nothing to do with why I got involved in those ministries.  I’ll share the Gospel with anyone, whether you are a black convicted murderer or the best-behaved white pagan in the free world.  And I want to help save unborn children from murder regardless of their skin color.

But the nature of these ministries is such that it is mostly whites serving mostly minorities.  And as a fantastic by-product of sharing the love and truth of Christ with these folks it does marvelous things for race relations.  It pushes a giant reset button on those who have been wounded because of their race and/or steeped in their own racism.

It has changed countless prison environments, where skinheads and Black Panther-types have become friends and led their respective gangs to change.

I’ve seen countless inmates and even volunteers note how the ministries radically changed how they view others, and how they repented of their racism.

Here’s the story of a guy I know from prison ministry who was in the Aryan Brotherhood.   I saw him in action many times as a leader of the Christian groups inside prison and in the ways he is giving back now that he’s out of prison.  Let’s just say that he wasn’t transformed by the power of virtue-signaling social media posts.   

I realize that the race-baiting professionals of the Left — including the “Christian” Left — want to improve race relations as much as McDonald’s wants to sell less hamburgers.  If your movement demands tax-funded abortions to the child’s 1st breath that kill blacks at a rate three times that of whites and Hispanics at twice the rate, then you’ll have a tough time convincing me you really care about them.  But authentic Christians really do want to see improvements.   And ministries like these make it happen.

It is remarkably safe to say “Nazis are bad!” on Facebook in 2017 in the U.S.  If you really want to do something about race relations — and more importantly, the Gospel — try something more substantial.  Look into your local pregnancy resource center or prison ministries, or anything similar that shares the love and truth of Christ with minorities.

It obviously isn’t because of the Bible.  Only malicious wolves like Matthew Vines and/or gullible people who never read the texts in question can pretend otherwise.

Note that two of the three types of pro-gay theology* agree that the Bible describes the behavior as sinful, and the other type is easily refuted.  That’s why the “converts” never get into the scriptural details.  They just use a bunch of mealy-mouthed weasel words to gloss over their change.  But as Erick Erickson notes, it is really about the $$$.

One megachurch pastor in the Southeast I know has said his gay congregants are the best tithers and he, therefore, expressly avoids approaching any portion of the Bible that might hurt their feelings.

Yep.  Gays have lots of disposable income and love to donate to causes that further their agenda.  What better way than through a fake church?  One famous gay has dropped nearly half a billion dollars pushing his passion.  Remember, the men of Sodom persisted even after being literally blinded because of their sin.  You’d think that if God did that to you that you just might pause your sin for a few moments to think things over.  Not the LGBTQX lobby.  They are most persistent.

Eugene Peterson, author of the awful Bible paraphrase The Message, thought it was safe to take off his mask.  He had been a slippery pro-gay proponent for years but had fooled a lot of evangelicals.  He apparently figured that at age 84 and phasing into retirement that he could safely come out.  But within 24 hours he pretended to reverse course.  Here’s the short version:

Peterson: Sure, I’d perform a same-sex ceremony.

Lifeway: We’re going to stop selling your books.

Peterson: I was kidding!  When you stop selling my books, I was kidding.

Of course the “Christian” Left uses these “converts” as examples of why they are on the supposed right side of history.  “See?!  These alleged Bible-believers switched to our view!”  Yeah, the $$$ and trying to avoid being unpopular with the world had nothing to do with it.

Remember that churchgoers who support “same-sex marriage” — i.e., the “Christian” Left — have nearly identical views to the world on a host of issues such as abortion, adultery, porn, etc.. It shows who their real father is.  They should consider these passages carefully.

1 John 2:15-16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Because at least the hypocrites did something good!

Matthew 6:1–4 Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

The Bible is clear that motives and behavior count. Doing your good deeds to be seen by others will merit you no rewards. This is what the hypocrites were doing at the time.

But at least they were doing something.  The virtue-signaling “Christian” Leftists mainly just beg “Caesar” to force you to fund counter-productive programs – and they think that fulfills the call in Matthew 25 to care for the “least of these.”  And yet they are simultaneously adamant that Jesus approves of abortion to the child’s 1st breath and that you should have to fund that as well. They are indescribably hostile to the “least of these” in the womb.

They wanted to reduce your safety and increase your taxes by removing strict guidelines on “refugees” from terror-sponsoring nations.  They falsely call it a “Muslim ban,” ignoring that 9 of the top 10 most populous Muslim countries aren’t on the lists.  And they either don’t know or don’t care that you could house 12 times the number of refugees closer to their country of origin.  These do-gooders will spare no expense (of yours) to highlight their virtue.

They defend MS-13 gang members — who rape and murder for sport – and speak of them more favorably than they do the NRA.  Yet they don’t seem to personally help MS-13 members or share their gospel (as false as it is) with them.

They also oppose the border wall, hysterically claiming it will cause “climate change.” This is another example where their malice shows through. Even if they wanted amnesty for illegals already in the country, they tip their hands by opposing a wall that would help reduce future illegals from entering the country.

As always, ask these “Christian” Leftists what they are doing with their own time and money to productively help the least of these.  Who would have thought that they would make the Matthew 6 hypocrites look good by comparison?

And keep doing truly good things with your time and your money and for God’s glory, not yours.

The “Gender Unicorn” and other state-mandated child abuse

From the “I hate being right” category, I saw over a decade ago — along with many others — that the LGBTQX agenda would inevitably evolve to state-mandated child abuse down to kindergarten and even preschool, using anti-bullying and such as the Trojan Horses.

From the “I hate being wrong” category, I naively thought that more parents would say, “Enough!,” when they realized that public schools would teach their 5 yr. old children that they can choose their genders and that boys would be able to share locker rooms with their teenage daughters. Yet here we are. The following is occurring in Charlotte, NC schools and other places in the country and parents are too afraid — or too complacent or brainwashed? — to say or do anything about it.

Meet the gender Unicorn. This was included in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) training presentation on handling transgender issues under the new CMS policy that goes into effect on August 29th. It’s startling enough that the school district feels they have sovereignty to directly disobey state statute as outlined in HB2, but some of the stuff in here is shocking.Check out some of these quotes:

1. Parental involvement dependent on student’s permission: “Involvement of parents in the plan is determined in working with the student, considering the student’s age and health, wellbeing and safety concerns” (pg. 34).

2. Students can choose their bathrooms and changing facilities: “Students must have access to the restroom/changing facilities that correspond to their gender identity” (pg. 42).

3. CMS will remove some gender-based activities: “CMS will evaluate all gender-based activities; maintain only those that have clear and sound pedagogical purpose” (pg. 46).

4. Students can choose their gender-based activities (intramural sports, dress codes, classes, ceremonies, photos, extracurricular activities, etc). This includes choosing which gender they participate with during overnight field trips: “Students are permitted to participate in gender-based activities consistent with their gender identity.” (pg. 46).5. Students can no longer be referred to as “boys and girls” in classrooms, but “scholars” or “students.”: “Avoid gender specific classroom management techniques” (pg. 46).

In other news, millstone* demand is at an all-time high.

Please fight these evils and protect your children and grandchildren.  Now more than ever, you do not want them in government schools**.  The predictable annual reductions in your parental rights, from the schools teaching more and more perversions to them removing your opt-out rights, will not stop. Remember that the men of Sodom*** groped for the door even after being literally blinded.  Leftists are very, very persistent.  They hate God, they think that they own your children and they will not give up without a fight.

How long until more “Christian” Leftists come out as bisexual?

And why aren’t churches doing a  better job of warning against these wolves and helping those authentically fighting temptations?

With any form of rebellion, users need increased doses to maintain the same high.  So how long until more “Christian” Leftists come out as bisexual?

As Romans 1 makes clear, when people are rebelling against God He may give them over to their desires and let them wallow in sin. Exhibit A: Homosexual behavior (and then other sins as well).  Note how at the end those who affirm the sins are guilty as well.

Romans 1:18–32 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

But as with drugs, sometimes the highs people get from shaking their fists at God aren’t enough, so they need to increase the dose. When false teachers like Rachel Held Evans, Jory Micah, The Christian Left, Jim Wallis, Chuck Currie, Mark Sandlin and more first started affirming LGBTQX sins, that may have seemed novel enough for them. But now that is just so 2012!  They are indistinguishable from the Leftist church and the world now. Who will give them attention just for that? That’s an entry ticket to their “faith” — that is, if you didn’t meet their baseline requirement of affirming LGBTQX sins (and abortion, of course) then you couldn’t come in the door.

So now what?  Really prove your commitment to the world by going bisexual! Note how they reacted to Glennon Doyle Melton, a “mommy blogger” with a huge “Christian” Left following.  She left her husband for some butch female soccer player, and of course it was accompanied by celebrations and the mandatory hostage video affirmations by her kids about how happy they are for her blah blah blah.  You’ll recall that Gene Robinson got himself a Bishop position in the Episcopal church by bravely abandoning and humiliating his wife and kids to “gay marry” his lover (and of course they are now gay divorced).

People like Mrs. Evans swoon not only over Melton (who claims to be Christian), but people like Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love, Fornicate), who bragged about stealing men for sport.

If the man was already involved in a committed relationship, I knew that I didn’t need to be prettier or better than his existing girlfriend; I just needed to be different. (The novel doesn’t always win out over the familiar, mind you, but it often does.) The trick was to study the other woman and to become her opposite, thereby positioning myself to this man as a sparkling alternative to his regular life.

To the surprise of no one with critical thinking skills, Ms. Gilbert divorced her “soul mate” husband whom she left someone else for and is now in a lesbian relationship.  And the “Christian” Left still adores her.  Would her legions of fans worship her if she had stolen their mates?

So I think it is just a matter of time before more of these “Christian” Leftists go bisexual to prove just how committed they are to the cause. Patting LGBTQX folks on the head with God-mocking affirmations simply isn’t enough anymore.  They need to show some real commitment to the cause.

Or will their spouses leave first? Can you imagine being married to Mrs. Evans, Jen Hatmaker or Jory Micah?  Their #1 cause is radical feminism with a “Christian” Left veneer and their husbands are forced (or are they that pathetically willing?) to go along with it.  How will the women react if their husbands go bisexual?  Grit their teeth and affirm their worldview?  After all, you have to “be true to who God made you” and so on.

This isn’t some hypothetical issue, either. I was encouraging a guy online who has been battling intense same-sex attraction (SSA) for decades (classic case of verbal abuse from stepfather and sexual abuse from step-brother when he was very young).  He fought it for a long time and was staying with his wife and children.  I didn’t judge at all (he seemed to know it was un-biblical and was very wounded) but encouraged him for hanging in there this long and offered some suggestions about how to continue to wisely fight any temptations.  All kidding aside, I was a “safe space” where he could vent and share his inner turmoil.  But he hung around these “affirming” “Christian” Left groups online and has now come out loud and proud. Such a sad situation.  He is ultimately accountable for his actions but these wicked “Christian” Leftists did Satan’s work.  But it was also disappointing to hear that he couldn’t trust his local church and pastor to listen to his problems and support him in his struggles.

And real churches need to be more open in helping people who struggle with SSA. As long as they aren’t trying to say LGBTQX behavior is OK, we should come along side them and help them.  Just because it isn’t a temptation for most of us doesn’t mean we should grandstand on it. Sure, some do it out of pure rebellion, but most I know have a core of serious sexual abuse and/or relationship issues that exacerbate the desire.  I wouldn’t shut down anyone who battled lust, coveting, anger, pride, etc., so why would I do so with someone who has SSA?  Never affirm, of course, but also don’t exclude those who are authentically fighting temptations.

These wolves are as dangerous as they are pathetic.  Countless women follow them thinking they are authentic Christians with real biblical teachings.  Do the loving thing and warn others.  I truly hope that these people repent and believe someday, but in the mean time it is more important to expose them and protect others from their false teachings.

If you exclude pro-lifers your event is an #abortionmarch not a #womensmarch, and that’s exactly what the Molech-worshiping Left — including the “Christian” Left — just did.  Never forget that the #1 goal for them is the right to kill children up to their first breath with taxpayer-funds. Everything else takes a back seat to that, as evidenced by these marches.

Some other thoughts on the #abortionmarch:

  • They really, really, love themselves some abortion. While pretending to march for women, they deliberately excluded over half of women — those who don’t share their pro-abortion extremism.
  • I’m not sure what dressing up as a vagina accomplishes. Seems to objectify women.
  • Same thing with the pu**y hats.  Do they realize that Trump’s infamous quote will have much less impact on future generations now that the Left — including the “Christian” Left — has de-stigmatized that word?  Once again, they can’t think 15 minutes into the future.
  • Not sure what threatening to blow up the White House accomplishes, other than that the senior citizen named Madonna should be arrested.
  • Not sure what creepy speeches about period blood accomplish.
  • Watching the “Christian” Left gush over the pro-abortion ghouls was not surprising. Can’t wait to see how excited they are when the real Christians do the pro-life march in Washington this week. You know, the one that is always much larger than the pro-abort marches but that the media ignores.
  • Noticed that these were Leftists protesting in Leftist cities that Clinton won.  Yes, we get it, you are sad about the election.  Just not sure what you think being a sore loser accomplishes.
  • Abortion kills blacks at over three times the rate of whites – and Hispanics at double the rate — but nearly all the marchers were white.  Seems racist.
  • Still waiting for pictures of the big crowds in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries.  Aren’t their abuses of women slightly worse than having to pay more for pink razors?
  • Yes, there were some big crowds.   But what for? Matthew 7:13–14 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
  • I’m pretty sure Trump is still President.
  • Trump’s team told some big lies yesterday. I never defend his bad deeds, and I have countless conservatives in my feeds that routinely criticize him.  But I’m waiting to find one Leftist criticizing Trump that also criticized Bill, Hillary and Barrack for their serial lies.
  • The “Christian” Left loved abortion, so they gave the Clintons a pass on all their crimes against women. Therefore, they have no moral authority to criticize Trumps’ sexism (don’t worry, conservatives will do it for you).  Remember that if not for the blue dress, they’d still be demonizing Monica Lewinski.

  • All the #abortionmarch business distracted us from some great news, such as defunding Planned Parenthood International (hopefully the domestic piece is next!) and especially General Mattis’ appointment.  That alone will reverse much of the perversion-fest of Obama’s reign.
  • If they impeach Trump we get Pence for 2+ terms.  I don’t think they realize how much worse that would be for them.
  • Never be surprised at the volume and persistence of pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQX people.  Remember that the whole towns of Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed, except for Lot’s family, and that the men of Sodom groped for the door even after being literally blinded.  Christ-haters – especially the “Christian” Left kind — are very stubborn.
  • I believe this is @RachelHeldEvans, or a reasonable facsimile of her and the “Christian” Left.  Hopefully they’ll come to terms with the election soon.  When Obama won twice, one of the things we were able to model for our kids was how to react as Christians, i.e., “That was disappointing, but God is sovereign and we will continue to live our lives with hope and joy while fighting evil.”  If I had behaved like the whiny, sore loser “Christian” Leftists I’d be mortified now.

The Hebrew midwives feared God. The “Christian” Left does not.

When the Pharaoh commanded that the Hebrew midwives kill any sons born to Hebrew women, they refused, and God rewarded them for it.  But the “Christian” Left would have been fine with killing the Hebrew males up to their first breath, and they insist that God would have approved.   They have made their pro-abortion views crystal-clear again and again and there is zero hyperbole in what I write about them.  It shows just how wickedly anti-Christ they are.

Make no mistake: “Christian” Leftists are “midwives” who would have gladly partnered with Pharaoh to kill the lineage of Jesus.

Is forgiveness possible?

The video below is fictional, of course, but the premise occurs countless times every day around the world: People need and want forgiveness, but the world tells them lies.

Christianity has the truth and the Good News, but far too many people claiming the name of Christ are unequipped and/or unwilling to share it, even when asked.  If that applies to you, then do something about it.  Right away!  I recommend Tactics by Greg Koukl as a great way to learn how to share your faith as an effective ambassador and apologist for Christ, just as the scriptures command.

It was surprising but so encouraging to see that the clip below was on the TV show ER a couple years back.

The chaplain is the classic fake Christian you’d expect to find in most theologically liberal churches today.  I love how the patient doesn’t buy her “just make up a god in your own image” type of platitudes.

The money quotes from the dying patient:

All I’m hearing is some new age “God is love” one-size-fits-all crap . . . I don’t have time for this now . . . I want a real chaplain who believes in a real God and a real Hell . . . I don’t need to “ask myself,” I need answers, and all your questions and uncertainty are only making things worse . . .

I need someone who will look me in the eye and tell me how to find forgiveness, because I am running out of time!

Hey Christians, time to fire up!  Some people don’t want the truth.  But there are lots of real people like this in the world who need and want the truth.  They must be so sick of the lies and the politically correct “God is whoever you want him to be” nonsense taught by the world and by far too many churches.  Is it really so hard to understand that you do not get to tell the creator of the universe how eternity works?  You don’t set the terms and conditions of salvation any more than you get to tell your boss to triple your pay and give you 50 weeks of vacation, or tell your teacher that he must give you an A without you coming to class.

Are you ready to tell people the truth and the Good News?  Forgiveness, redemption and eternal life are possible, but only through trust in Jesus.
