It was debunked decades ago but is still believed by the Left.

  1. SBC: If neither partner is married then it can’t be adultery. It’s fornication, and in this case it has every appearance of consensual conduct and not abuse.

    Biden Repeats Story Of 10-Year-Old Allegedly Needing An Abortion That No One Has Been Able To Verify

    The source was one Indianapolis physician named Dr. Caitlin Bernard. Dr. Bernard has said she has no other information to share. No one else has ever come forward with any facts.

    As I read it, this leads me to one of three conclusions:

    1) the 10 year old became Dr. Bernard’s patient and all the details are physician-patient privilege and the doctor was released to discuss only the most general facts about this in the most general way: “10 year old girl, raped, needed abortion, had to come to me because Ohio laws wouldn’t allow her to get an abortion there”

    2) Dr. Bernard heard about this second or thirdhand from another abortion provider.

    3) Dr. Bernard made the whole thing up.

    I suppose 1) is plausible. That could happen. But there would have to be a lot of factors to come together : The 10 year old couldn’t get to Indiana without an adult. The story couldn’t be told without someone releasing the doctor to talk about it. The only person who could release the doctor would be a parent or a guardian. The release was structured in such a way to disguise and conceal most facts so thoroughly the story could never be confirmed.

    You simply have to take the doctor’s word for it. And there’s lots of people in today’s society primed to believe it. They WANT to believe it, so it HAS to be true.

    That leaves 2) and 3).

    Occam’s Razor is quite sharp, no? What do you think is most likely?

    So I’m supposed to believe an SBC seminary professor 23 years older than Jennifer Lyell “abused” her to the point of threatening to shoot her and former SBC president Al Mohler? I’m supposed to believe Sills “abused” her and held sway over her, even as she moved states away from Sills and worked as a book publisher, acting as a publisher of Sills’ books?

    I’m supposed to believe this woman endured unspeakable abuse and sexual viciousness in a “long distance” “grooming” relationship for 12 years from age 26 to age 38?

    Um, no.

    Here’s what happened: Sills had an extramarital affair with Lyell. Lyell voluntarily had a sexual relationship with Sills, knowing he was married. She did so of her own free will, knowingly and voluntarily. She came back to visit him and his family. She had an extramarital affair that ended because he broke it off. She got angry, saw dollar signs and a chance for revenge, and decided to expose the affair. She did it for publicity, for a payday, and to strike back at a man who broke her heart. She did it to score points with “woke” Christians and advance her career too.

    That’s really what’s going on here.

    2. I laughed at her TGC bio. I’d love to edit it and add, “Shrewdly got a payday of over one million dollars after having a consensual, long-distance affair with a married man from the time she was 26 to 38.”
