The Apostle Peter on the “Christian” Left

The “Christian” Left hates the Apostle Paul — except when they can quote something that they think they understand and like.  They reflexively and fallaciously pit him against Jesus, starting with assuming that his writings were not inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Keep this passage handy when “Christian” Leftists try to dismiss the writings of Paul and the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 3:15–16 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

Ignorant? Check. Unstable? Check. Twisting all scriptures to their own destruction? Check.  Ignoring that Peter referred to Paul’s writings as scripture?  Check.

It should come as no surprise that they also dismiss the writings of Peter. Convenient, that.

  1. It is sadly amazing how the Bible is continually cut up into pieces (necessary for study, I realize) but then not interpreted as a congruent whole. It’s like studying the human heart without understanding how it functions within the human body.
