The “Islam and Christianity worship the same God” lie is so transparently false you can refute it in a single Tweet*: Denying Jesus’ deity is a heresy in Christianity. Affirming it is a blasphemy in Islam. #notthesame This is no minor difference. It alone shows that under no circumstance could both religions be right.
A professor at a Christian college has joined useful idiots like false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way but He sure is a bigot” Currie** and the Pope in saying things like this:
“I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book,” she wrote. “And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God.”
That is a sign of true ignorance, whether you are the Pope or any garden-variety “Christian” Leftist. You can’t be very familiar with the Quran or the Bible and say things like that.
*You can also tighten it up and do it twice in a single Tweet: Denying Jesus’ deity=Christian heresy affirming it=Islamic blasphemy.
**Currie claims to be a Christian but insists that we have as much to learn from Islam as they do from us. He has a PhD in Theology (no, seriously!) from some fake Christian college but doesn’t know any more about Islam than he does Christianity.
OK, I think I’m disagreeing with you on this one. The Pope, Islam, Chuck and this professor DO worship the same god. It’s just not the God of Scripture. 🙂

I can’t believe people can say they both serve the same God. All you need to do is read the koran and then the Bible and you’ll know without a doubt that they do NOT serve the same god. It’s that simple. The Bible says turn rhe other cheak and love thy enemies and the koran says kill all infidels (those who are not muslims). How are those the same?

I think these people truly know that Muslims do not worship the true God, but they are too busy being politically-correct to state such.

Agreed. Their cowardice and mockery of the cross is worse than ignorance.

This thinking is gaining prominence in the evangelical community. The goal is not necessarily that people believe that Islam and Christianity are the same, but only that their will to resist by speaking up against it is removed.
