It isn’t the pagans that bother me, but the fake Christians.

The pagans are being honest in celebrating the Supreme Court decision forcing their views on us regarding “same-sex marriage.”  But it is repulsive watching the professing Christians do it.

One family we used to worship with at a different church has a nauseating picture of their house on a Facebook page, juxtaposing crosses on both sides of their front door with a large gay flag in the front yard.  Apparently if your son turns out to be gay then homosexual behavior isn’t a sin anymore!  Who knew?  And he works with the youth at church, of course.

But none of these people are offering any thoughtful responses, just anti-biblical emotions and sound bites.

My challenge to self-identified Christians who support same-sex marriage:

1. Establish what your basis of moral authority is.
2. If it is the Bible, develop a biblical case for same sex marriage.
3. Identify the moral reasoning you are employing.
4. Put your argument in premise-conclusion form.
5. Rebut the major objections to your position.
6. Explain why your view was never held in the history of the church or endorsed by any religion or civilization until recent decades.

Don’t expect the “Christian” Leftists to take you up on it.

  2. I’m still waiting for a simple, straightforward definition for this new “marriage” term. It’s not forthcoming. One article called it “a lifelong commitment”, as if that makes any sense … or even has sufficient content. (Because having children, for instance, is a “lifelong commitment”. And with the “50% of marriages end in divorce” statistic, that does not seem like they see it as such.)

    you are straight, so this means you must molest all the young girls at the church? You must, to think this of others. You are dangerous. You need help.

      Thanks for seeking clarification. It isn’t that he would necessarily be more dangerous to kids, but that the church gave a Romans 1 poster boy rebel a role at all, in any capacity.

      1. Yes…. however, just because he is gay and an adult, does not necessarily make him a “predator” to young boys. Perhaps, rather than isolating the man, try distancing the children from him, or better yet: just make your scruples against homosexuality apparent to them so that they may associate themselves with the man, platonically, while still maintaining their heterosexuality.

        If he’s a good Christian, he won’t have any plans to spread the “gay agenda” in the church and the children of it. If his intents are based upon the gay agenda, then distancing the children may be the right course of action to take, if you really don’t want the kids to be gay.

        It sounds like you have a lot of judgment about a parent who is trying to protect his kids in a Christian church from a teacher who is openly disobeying the ten commandments (6th), and so is not qualified to teach.

        We don’t have to bring it to the level of feelings or scruples, as you put it. That’s why we have the black and white God gave us to protect us.

        True, an individual adulterous pastor might not be after my wife. But I wouldn’t want to go to his church. Likewise a newly gay youth teacher might not be sowing his wild oats with the kids, but I wouldn’t want him around the young people of the church. That doesn’t make me intolerant. It makes me a loving and caring man, protecting the vulnerable. And that includes this confused young man.

    Heterosexuality is the God-given order of things. Homosexuality is a perversion of that order. It makes no difference whether a homosexual in the church is spreading the “gay agenda”. They are overtly ignoring the clear mandate of Scripture much like an unrepentant liar, murderer or adulterer. Although we all have sinned, it is our call in Christ to live righteously and repent of those things so clearly prohibited by the God who redeemed us.

    The “church” that allows an openly homosexual youth to teach the other youth is obviously not Christ’s, but belongs to Satan. Those who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and have been redeemed from sin will run from such a wicked assembly, being obedient to His Word. Believers are new creations in Christ with a new nature having the Spirit of the Living God indwelling them and do not live according to the evil lies of this fallen world system dominated by Satan and led on by the wicked desires of the evil fallen fleshly nature.
