The “Christian” Left likes to call Bible-believing (read: authentic) Christians “Pharisees” to try and dismiss our arguments.  But what made the Pharisees stand out?  They disagreed with Jesus, just like the “Christian” Left does.

Jesus said He was the only way to salvation, but the “Christian” Left explicitly denies that.

Jesus claimed to be divine as well as human, but the “Christian” Left explicitly denies that.

The “Christian” Left promotes Darwinian evolution, oxymoronic “same-sex marriage” and same-sex parenting but Jesus refutes them all in one simple passage. No true follower of him should disagree on any of those topics.

Matthew 19:4–5 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?”

The “Christian” Left regularly mocks the Old Testament, but Jesus supported it all and referred to the most controversial parts without apology: Adam & Eve, real marriage, creation, Noah, Jonah, Sodom, etc.  He quoted from it liberally (heh) and insisted that it pointed to him.

Luke 24:25–27 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Jesus said to help the poor with your money.  He didn’t say to petition Caesar to take from neighbor A by force to give — oops, I mean redistribute — to neighbor B and to call it generosity on your part.  But that’s what the “Christian” Left does.  Leftist Jim Wallis said — in context — that the “Gospel is all about wealth redistribution.”

Jesus came to give life — and is the author of life — but the “Christian” Leftist are pro-abortion extremists.

You get the idea.  Never let them get away with using the “Pharisee” card.
