Please don’t miss this: Only 9% of Americans support unrestricted abortion. 84% support “significant restrictions.” Eighty-four percent. Never assume you know what a person thinks about abortion just because she says she’s “pro-life” or “pro-choice.” Always ask specific questions and work from there.

Our laws aren’t just out of step with our people, they’re out of step with the world. Only seven countries in the world have laws as extreme as ours, allowing elective abortions after 20 weeks. We share that “honor” with China and North Korea.

So only 9% of Americans support unrestricted abortions but the “Christian” Left is a loud and proud portion of that 9%.  The “Christian” Left is far more extreme in their pro-abortion agenda than the average pro-choice person. They insist that life begins at the first breath and insist that Jesus is fine with killing unwanted children until that point. Here’s how to respond to them.

I realize how ridiculous their views sound and how many people must think I’m making a straw-man argument. I was sharing this with a group of volunteers in a Care Net Pregnancy Center class last week and they were aghast that anyone would believe that, let alone people claiming to be Christian.  But that is just because the “Christian” Left’s own words are so clear and extreme.

According to the bible, a fetus is not a living person with a soul until after drawing its first breath.
