The remedy to religious guilt — good lessons here.  Even if you are saved you can subject yourself to unnecessary guilt.

  1. They are converted.
  2. They have been equipped, not entertained.
  3. Their parents preached the gospel to them.

Kenyan Leaders Ask Obama to Respect Christian Beliefs, Policies on Homosexuality — Consider all the things Obama hasn’t done then ask why he cares so much about exporting all things LGBTQ.  Good for the Kenyans!  I really enjoyed my 5 trips there.  I met tons of Bible-believing people.

A good analysis on why Mary is not the “mediatrix” between God and man and why we shouldn’t pray to her.  For starters, he is right.  But even if not . . .

What if I’m wrong? – if I’m wrong when I die I go to heaven and I meet Mary and she’ll say “Dude, you were soooo wrong about that blog you wrote.” I’ll say “I’m sorry, can you forgive me? Please tell me the real story.” Maybe we’ll find John and Paul and maybe Tamar and Rahab and go get lunch. But what if I’m right? If I’m right then everyone that’s been worshiping a nice Jewish girl has a lot of explaining to do before the judgement throne when the very first commandment is brought up.

Again, women and pretty much everyone else supportive of restricting late-term abortions — this shows who the real “extremists” are.

Interestingly, Q poll shows women more supportive of 20-week abortion ban than men. Women back it 60-25, men 50-35.

CNN Host Don Lemon’s ‘Tough Love’ for Black Community Inspires Hate-Filled Backlash — I’m not a big Don Lemon fan but he made some outstanding points.  It is hard to believe anyone could disagree with them.  Go read the expanded version.

5) How sagging pants evolved from prison culture and reflects poorly on the self-esteem of the perpetrator of this fashion statement

4) Use of the n-word in popular culture degrades blackd

3) Littering your own community shows disdain for yourself and those around you

2) Not making use of the educational opportunities afforded you

1) Having children out of wedlock erodes educational and economic opportunity

A good reference for the importance of fathers — statistics on prison, poverty, behavioral issues and more.  Fathers count for a lot.

An Open Apology to All of My Weight Loss Clients

I owe you an apology, my former client and now friend, who I helped to lose too much weight. Who I watched gain the weight back, plus some. Because that’s what happens when you put someone on a 1200 calorie diet. But I didn’t know. If you’re reading this, then I want you to know that you have always been beautiful. And that all these fad diets are crap meant to screw with your metabolism so that you have to keep buying into them. I think now that I was a really good weight loss consultant. Because I did exactly what the company wanted (but would never dare say). I helped you lose weight and then gain it back, so that you thought we were the solution and you were the failure. You became a repeat client and we kept you in the game. I guess I did my job really well.

The fast winds on Venus are getting faster — Hmmm . . . climate change . . . on Venus.  It must be because Al Gore and Barack Obama didn’t buy enough offsets for their massive carbon footprints.

Waiting till the wedding night – getting married the right way — Good for Stephen Crowder

5 reasons why Catholic is not Christian — The Reformation happened for a reason.  Actually, 95 of them.  I know lots of Catholics whose beliefs would more accurately be described at Protestantism, but the core of the Roman Catholic church is false.

Campus porn culture: a real ‘war on women’ — And people pay $50,000+ per year for this.

If you’re not already following The College Fix, run by author and Yale alum Nathan Harden, you should be. It exposes the depraved, anti-woman atmosphere that dominates too many campuses.

I interviewed Harden last year, after the debut of his book, Sex and God at Yale: Porn, Political Correctness, and a Good Education Gone Bad. An entire section of Harden’s book is titled “Yale’s War on Women.”

He exposed how Yale women are constantly degraded on campus. They are valued for their looks, bodies, and sexual prowess – not their minds. They are often required to watch hardcore porn in class and encouraged to participate in “porn star lookalike” contests during “Sex Week,” the biggest event of the year. Yale has made headlines for a string of incidents involving fraternities, in which young men marched around campus chanting, “No means yes, yes means anal” and carried signs declaring, “We love Yale sluts.” This hostile, threatening environment eventually brought Yale under federal investigation for gender discrimination.

Congress to Investigate Planned Parenthood Abortion Business — That’s good news.  It would be better news if the mainstream media would report it.  Not surprisingly, people who kill babies for a living and encourage out-of-wedlock sex are also willing to defraud taxpayers.

Obama has explicitly stated that he can’t even conceive of victory in Afghanistan. There are no coherent objectives, and the rules of engagement barely permit fighting back when troops are attacked by hostile locals. There would appear to be no point to this tragic waste of blood and treasure. Yet as a social engineering operation, the campaign is bearing fruit — or should I say fruits:

U.S. soldiers deployed to Afghanistan are using Craigslist to meet and have sex with each other on bases across the war-torn country, leading to concerns about a breakdown in discipline overseas. …

The vast majority of the posts on Craigslist involve male soldiers seeking sex with other men – a practice that could have resulted in the discharge of both parties from the military under Don’t Ask Don’t Tell…

WOW! Egyptian Cleric Instructs and Explains on how European Muslims should beat their wives – YouTube.  And not a word from false teachers about this.

Pro-Life Presentation for Men Based on the Movie ’42’ — Branch Rickey of the Dodgers stood up against racism.  More men should follow this advice and stand up against abortion.

Frederick Douglass Republicans Are Fighting To Win Hearts, Minds & The Masses — Meet the messenger bringing the Grandfather of the Civil Rights Movement’s message back to the Republican Party

Laws reduce abortions — even if abortions aren’t completely illegal, these laws make a difference.  Pro-aborts know that, which is why they fight them so strenuously while disingenuously claiming that “people will have them anyway, so we should let the doctors do them.”

I remember a theologically Leftist woman in a Sunday School class rationalizing abortion because “they might be poor.”  She obviously considered herself to be compassionate.

  1. On the Venus winds story, no one wants to talk about the fact that National Geographic reports that “Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet’s recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human-induced—cause.” If all polar ice caps in the solar system are receding, it would seem to suggest that it isn’t Al’s SUV causing it. Maybe it’s … I don’t know … something to do with the solar system?

  2. On the veneration of Mary: that is applying Pascal’s Wager to Mary worship. I suspect we can do the same for the veneration of the rest of the saints as well.

  3. Interesting take on kids staying in the Church. I am the oldest of 4. Of the four of we have:

    1 that is very devout
1 who believes but refuses to attend
1 who is almost an atheist
1 who is kind of faithful

All 4 raised the same way in the Church. Only I am married to a devout Christian.

  4. I love the common traits of youth who don’t leave the church. Too bad so many “churches” entertain rather than equip.

Kenya seems to be one of only a few places where they understand the effects on society of sanctioning perversion.

As for Mary being a “mediatrix,” some questions to contemplate: 1) Why is there no mention of praying to Mary in the Bible? 2) If Mary hears and responds to all prayers addressed to her, she would have to be omniscient and omnipresent, which would make her a god. In fact, to answer all the prayers she would also have to be omnipotent. So doesn’t making Mary omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent violate the command against idolatry? 3) What about the Bible’s instructions against talking with the dead (Deut. 18:11-12, et. al)?

Never heard of Don Lemon, but then I never watch CNN. But great points – too bad no one will ever listen to him.

Great article from Crowder. We have attended/performed at too many weddings where the reception goes into the wee hours with lots of partying and drinking, and we immediately assume they’ve been living together and their wedding night is nothing new.

Obama and his Demokrat lackeys are out to destroy the military. Demokrats always have been.
