False teacher Jim “the Gospel is all about wealth redistribution” Wallis did a pointless piece with Chuck Colson: Conviction and Civility – Jim Wallis and Chuck Colson – God’s Politics Blog.
It was a ridiculous non sequitor where the Left once again gets to pretend that conservative rhetoric caused the shootings in Arizona — even while saying they didn’t.
The president rightly said that no act of incivility can be blamed for the profoundly evil shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and the tragic killing of 6 of her constituents and wounding of 13 others. Nonetheless, we should not lose this moment for moral reflection and renewal. We must re-examine the tone and character of our public debate, because solving the enormous problems we face as a nation will require that we work for a more civil public square.
Hmmm . . . It didn’t have anything to do with the shootings, but let’s use it as a catalyst to talk about it anyway? Why not use the insanely un-civil rhetoric of Olberman, Maddow, etc. — or the Congressman who equates questioning the health care abomination with being like Hitler.
I expect nonsense like that from Wallis, but not Colson. He should know better.
