The truth sounds like hate to those that hate the truth

And false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie really hates the truth.  See United Church of Christ Leaders Hail Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crime Prevention Act.

Matthew Shepard wasn’t killed by hate speech or because he was gay. Even if he was killed for being gay it wasn’t like his killers just got back from a Focus on the Family “Love won out” conference.   He was killed by thugs.

In a major irony that will be lost on fakes like Chuck, I support stronger penalties for the killers of Shepard and Byrd than they do.  I’m OK with the death penalty but they oppose it.  I guess they must hate gays and blacks, eh?

So we don’t need “hate crime / hate speech” legislation at all.  Those laws are just trojan horses designed to silence opposing views and especially religious speech.  It is a double assault on the 1st Amendment rights of Christians.  Chuck doesn’t mind because he never teaches anything from the Bible (whether accurately or not) that the world would find unpopular.

I hope this ends his ministry and hers, but it probably won’t.  What frauds.  And not just because of this incident, but because of their false teachings.

False teachers cause poverty then wring hands over it

False teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie doesn’t know much about Christianity and can’t run a successful church, but he sure thinks he knows about economics.

So homelessness for children is up in Oregon?  Must be all those Tea Party types they put in office — oh, wait, they are wildly Liberal.

No one should be forced to live a third world life in a first world country.

via Number Of Homeless Students Up 134% Over 7 Years; Poverty Must Be A Campaign Issue.

The problem is that people make bad choices all over the world and children suffer.  Chuck’s worldview and false religion encourage those bad choices.

Here’s another Muslim atrocity that false teachers are silent about

See Examiner Editorial: Government and journalists cower at threats to cartoonist | Washington Examiner — Think you’ll see race-baiting false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie start a Facebook group to oppose this?  No, he only opposes lone cranks who want to burn the Koran.

False teacher hates gays, blasphemes Holy Spirit

Leave it to race-baiting false teacher Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie to say something like this:

Please repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.  A vote to end discrimination is a vote in favor of a more moral America.

via Repeal DADT Now: Send Your Message Today.

Chuck plays the race card, as usual, ignoring the obvious fact that skin color is morally neutral while sexual behavior is not:

Sadly, there were many religious voices in America that openly opposed the integration of the races in public life – including the integration of the military.

The Bible could not be more clear that homosexual behavior is a sin.  Therefore, to encourage people in that sin, as Chuck & Co. do, is hateful.  They also blaspheme the Holy Spirit by claiming that He told them the opposite of what He did in the word of God.  They obviously don’t fear God, which is more proof of their being fakes.

What is most sickening is implying that the Apostle Paul is on their side.

We know, with Paul, that as Christians, we are many members, but are one body in Christ—members of one another, and that we all have different gifts. With Jesus, we affirm that we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves, that we are called to act as agents of reconciliation and wholeness within the world and within the church itself, ” the General Synod of the United Church of Christ has declared.

Paul would never stop throwing up if he heard Chuck claim they were on the same side.  Chuck & Co. don’t even understand the term “agents of reconciliation.”  Christians help reconcile men with God through Jesus.  That’s the Good News!  Chuck is the fake teaching that you don’t need Jesus to be reconciled with God.  Here’s the passage in question.  Note how badly Chuck has distorted it:

2 Corinthians 5:18–21 (ESV)  All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Chuck and the Apostle Paul both claim that their message was from God.  One of them is lying.  Since I know for a fact that Chuck is a serial, unrepentant liar I’m going to stick with Paul as the truth-teller her (uh, that and about 100 other reasons).

Roundup

Are you better off than you were 4 years ago when the Democrats took control of Congress? January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.  Before that the Democrats pushed for plans that would inevitably drive high foreclosure rates but they insulated the lenders from risk.  Horrible, horrible idea.  Bush tried to reform Fannie and Freddie and was blocked.  Who took the third highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac?  Barack Obama.

Remember, Nancy Pelosi said that the Democrats “are prepared to govern and ready to lead.”  When did she say that?  November 8, 2006.

An interesting piece by Pastor Timothy about Christianity and the Godfather.  A snippet:

The movie is a great example of what happens when sin goes unrestrained. You have every manner of sin being delved into by those who believe they live in a protected world due to the fact that Godfather Don Corleone has all the judges in his back pocket. That is how Michael can gun down one of the mob bosses and a police captain and get away with it. When you own those who are charged with keeping the law, then you can keep them from using the law against you.

The movie’s popularity is due to the fact that it does appeal to our sin nature. We want to be in control of the world in which we live and The Godfather shows us a world where the Don controls a good portion of his own world. Of course, he has to use intimidation, fear, the threat of having your favorite pet’s head severed and dumped in your bed over night, death, etc., in order to control that world. But wouldn’t we love to control our world in such a way?

How radical is the “radical” right?

no-right.jpg

Given that the political season is in full swing, I’m noticing an increase in the number of “extremist” labels hurled at conservatives in general and Tea Partiers in particular.  Apparently that is easier then addressing the issues and arguments themselves, but it seems more like a concession speech to me.

Those who hyperventilate about the “radical right” (or “extremists,” “fundie nutjobs,” “wacky fundies,” or other eloquent terms of endearment) are either disingenuous or really bad at math, because the majority of Americans share our views on the most controversial topics.  Consider this by Greg Koukl of Stand to Reason:

A poll of readers of the L.A. Times once showed that, in the area of abortion, prayer, in school, homosexuality and traditional family values, the majority of Americans agree with so-called “extreme fundamentalists.” 70% of Americans believe that the traditional family structure is always best; 76% favor prayer in public schools; 55% are against legalized abortion; 61% think that homosexual relations are always wrong. These are the views of the “radical right,” but these are also the views of a majority of rank and file Americans.

Let that bolster your confidence, the next time you’re being marginalized for your conservative moral values. The “radical right” isn’t so radical. It’s actually mainstream.

If they think we’re so extreme, why don’t they just use their faux majority to elect legislators to legalize partial-birth abortion and such?  Then they wouldn’t need judges to ignore their duties and make up their own laws.

It appears to me like the “radical” label is just a cheap way to attack the person and not the arguments, just like they do with the passive-aggressive “intolerant” label (Because whoever yells intolerant first must be the kind, tolerant one – right?).

I submit that if the media, entertainment and education establishments weren’t so outrageously biased the numbers would shift even further to the right.  For example, consider that 90% or more of the media are die-hard pro-choicers and they do everything in their power to spin stories in their favor.  Yet the population is still split pretty evenly on the topic, and the more clearly survey questions are worded the more pro-life the results are.

The only way you can categorize majority views as the radical right is if you are perched comfortably on the radical left.
