Gov. Christie: If you don’t like my education budget, find another job — I hope this guy is for real. I love how he has the guts to speak plainly and truthfully.
When Wilson, who has a master’s degree, said she was not being compensated for her education and experience, Christie said:
“Well, you know then that you don’t have to do it.” Some in the audience applauded.

Mainstream media fairly investigates accusation of forced abortion — I’m amazed that they reported on this. Good for them. No surprise that abortionists have such low ethics. He obviously wasn’t pro-choice — at least the choice for a woman to change her mind about an abortion.

2 Chronicles 7:14 is NOT for the Christian — Good points by Glenn about this oft-misused verse.

Desmond Tutu takes a step backward on biblical truth — too many people don’t listen carefully to what famous religious leaders actually say and test it in the light of scripture. Tutu says that you worship a “homophobic God” if you believe what the Bible clearly teaches.

Free digital book about the responses to criticisms of Stephen C. Meyers’ Signature in the Cell.
Published in 2009, Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design is recognized as establishing one of the strongest pillars underlying the argument for intelligent design. To call the book fascinating and important is an understatement. No less interesting in its way, however, was the critical response and it is with that this book is concerned. For the fact is that despite SITC being written about in print and online by numerous friends and foes of intelligent-design theory, few—if any—of the critics really grappled with the substance of Meyer’s argument. This is remarkable and telling. In this digital book which includes live links to the critics’ own writings, defenders of SITC analyze the hostile response.

Graphic evidence of what Arizona is up against — good find by Marshall. Check out the pictures of the trash left by illegal aliens. How many times have you seen this from the mainstream media? Will the open borders-types be going to clean that up along with the human waste left behind?

Some good news: California: Alameda District Discontinues K-5 LGBT “Lesson 9” Curriculum
While the District had claimed that a LGBT curriculum was necessary to address bullying and harassment in elementary schools, documentation from the District obtained by PJI through a public records request revealed that, of the approximately 170 incident reports in an 18 month period, there were no school incidents of harassment due to sexual orientation in the elementary grades.
The whole initiative was the typical LGBT Trojan Horse. Why would they need to destroy the innocence of children as young as kindergarten just to prevent bullying? A simple anti-bullying policy is all you need.

Neil,
I’ve called my art abstract for years… you finally caught me! 🙂

I’m a huge admirer of Desmond Tutu. Not least because I lived in the same neighbourhood and often used to see “The Arch” jogging the streets of Newlands in his yellow tracksuit as I drove past him on my scooter, exchanging a wave.
He’s been saying the same sorts of things for years now. The struggle for equality in South Africa (and Africa in general) is not just about race.

That is very cool that you got to interact with him like that. To state the obvious, I support what he has done race-wise but disagree with him conflating skin color with sexual preferences and his rejection of the Bible.

LOVE THE GRAPH!
In college I had a humanities class that melded history, literature, art and music into one class. Each professor from each discipline taught 1/4 of the class. We then were given random themes based in one of the 4 to write a research paper on.
(I traded to get history!)
During the art portion, the professor was showing us abstract art. I raised my hand (this was a huge class in an auditorium):
“How do you know the difference between good abstract art, and just a really bad drawer or painter?”
The class busted up, and even the instructor got a smile on his face. He then stumbled through a 5 minute incoherent response that never answer the original question.

I know who told you that! I read your thread but didn’t have the energy to comment. What a non sequitor. Good responses on your part.
