Pushing Daisies

pushing-daisiesMy oldest daughter enjoys the quirkiness of the TV show Pushing Daisies and asked me to do a “pity post” because it may get canceled.

Petition to save the show

Background:

From November 3rd to (as of now, may be extended longer) November 19th, fans will be sending a letter a day to ABC requesting they renew ‘Daisies’. We want to flood their boxes with mail for daisies for a week.

You are encouraged to send daisies (paper or real) Daisy seeds, Bouquets of Daisies, Pies (also paper or real) or just a letter. Send a few a day if you can afford it!

**Emailing is a great, but please send a tangible letter also. Having a full mailbox right there in front of them as opposed to on the internet sends a more powerful message.

Write to: ABC, Inc. 500 S. Buena Vista Street Burbank, CA 91521-4551

Email them here.

ALSO- Sign the petition. You can technically sign it as many times as you want, with only one email address. (Use different names) I have a friend who has signed it a LOT.

Finally, WATCH THE SHOW! Turn on all the tv’s in the house! leave on the online episode player for the latest episode while you’re out shopping! Anything to help the ratings!!

If anyone has any questions, email me at gradjake2011@gmail.com.

Thank you!

  1. I saw part of a show for the first time last week and thought it was clever. I appreciate when shows don’t have such predicatable story lines.

  2. I watched it a good bit the first season. My first reaction was that it wouldn’t last and was weird. After the second or third show, I got to where I actually enjoyed it. As you said, it was “clever”.

Sadly, I never got hooked. I think I’ve only seen one show this season, and only part of that one. The reason? My wife doesn’t have the same appreciation for “clever” that I do.

  3. I think there is a line in the movie This is Spinal Tap that says, “There is a fine line between clever and stupid.”

    I’m usually straddling that line.

  4. I liked the show the first season, but this second season it’s getting weirder, and the sexuality is getting more pronounced. What about the show where at the end Chuck disrobes? So the question becomes, how much do we pass over before we realize we are the frog in the pot? When do we determine as Christians that it becomes inappropriate?
